that took me back........back to the days when i was the kid that hung out at the airport......there was a guy named MAX BURKHALTER and he had a 1959 comanche 250....it was green and white.....i can still hear it.....COMANCHE 5838POP..TAKIN OFF ON 36...OR 18...DEPENDING ON WHICH WAY THE WIND WAS BLOWIN....AT WINCHESTER....AND AFTER I SOLOED HE LET ME SIT IN THE LEFT SEAT....I FLEW THAT AIRPLANE A BUNCH.....THE COMANCHE IS A FINE AEROPLANE AND A VERRY FOND MEMORY OF MY EARLY DAYS

No, not at all.
Just have to remember to drop the gear before you enter down wind.

the comanche 250...at 21 inches and 2350 rpm..it indicated 165 mph

At altitude and push the throttle forward, it easily exceeds 185.
At 22in and 2250RPM it does 165.

our numbers are pretty close....38pop was a verry clean comanche...new paint...new prop....fresh major....21..2350.....165 indicated
