My friend Carol Sun of west palm beach died 2 days ago in a toyota 4Runner her car was struck by the rear with a semi tractor-trailer. She was a great girl i hope this educates people if your cars breaks down you should turn on hazard lights and GET OUT OF IT... Drive safely.

i had an accident on my 2000 4runner, pretty much i crashed into those steel barrels on the freeway at around 65 mph. Only the front was damaged and obviously due to the rate of speed i was going, i hit so hard i flipped over. But my 4runner saved my life that way :) its durable and strong

That's a really sturdy vehicle. The 4runner alwasy has been. That's why it's excellent on offroad with or without AWD.

They should not do this in a flat wall they should do it in the other way like the other crash test I've seen has more effect to the car then the flat wall.

@MrRey84972 IIHS does an offset test like car to car head on its way more realistic and look up "Dateline NBC Offset Crash Test 2000 Full Size Pickup Trucks" i will never trust ford or dodge again sorry i know they have improved but i dont think they should have ever designed a truck that crashes like that
