Over all though, you had a good vid, I just wanted to clarify some things. If I offended anyone I apologize, and anything good is from Allah, and anything bad is my own personal mistake.
Lastly, it is interesting that he intended to bring forth charges of crimes against humanity against the United States for its treatment of African Americans under Jim Crow Law. Can you really say this guy was simply assassinated because he decided not to embrace the ideals of the Nation of Islam? Imagine what wouldve happened if he had utilized Islam to speak out against the oppression in the U.S. at that time? It was a frightening prospect for many people, and for that he was killed.
As a result Al Hajj Malik Al Shabaaz sought to fight against this oppression here in the United States, as a Muslim. This is why he was assassinated. He was concerned with the position of oppressed people in the U.S., and that is why they remember him as an icon. However Islam made his struggle a human struggle based on the divine code of Islam, and no longer simply a secular struggle. However, his struggle DID NOT change.
Thus, they sought to uplift the position of the blackman, and reduce the position of his oppressor. This was the natural anger that stemmed from oppression, as the victim of any type of oppression cannot be blamed for his anger. If anyone is to blame, it is the oppressor.
Malcolm X arose from this organization and encountered Islam, which not only confirmed the brotherhood of humanity under Allah, but also confirmed that anything other than this brotherhood is unjust and oppressive.
I agree with the message of your video, but I would like to put some things into perspective regarding Malcolm Xs life and vision.
If a person is locked in a dark chasm for a prolonged period of time; when he sees any inkling of light he will automatically rush toward it. That was the purpose of the Nation of Islam. They desired to mentally revive the black man, who was wholly devoid of knowledge of self; and was the worst victim of an oppressive society based in racial hierarchy.
Barakallahufeek akhi. Malcolm X's vision was a America that embraced Islam, that submitted to Allah's will, that saw beyond color and race and status.
May Allah grant our brother El-Hajj Malik Shabazz Jannah and grant us Jannah and reunite us with all our beloved brothers and sisters. Ameen Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum
You are very right brother. And I watched the film in 1990. It is true that he started as a black nationanlist Muslim. But died as a MUSLIM, fully understanding the universal message of Islam, which is Absolute oness of God, and unity of mankind.
Malcolm wanted justice and equality. Most of all he wanted brotherhood. That is all.
