For goodness sake! Its meant to be funny, people. The the film needed a couple of scenes like this (the Jazz Club scene as well) because the rest of it was pretty dark. Have a sense of humour. As for Venom, he could've been bigger, but he KILLED Harry. That's badass. The Symbiote's the true villain of this film anyway, making monsters out of vengeance.

My favorite scene in Spider-man 3! Tobey Maguire's dancing kills me every time. I like my superhero movies more when they're kind of cheesy and not afraid to have fun with their characters. It shouldn't be serious all the time.

Haha... Now that I've accepted what a crappy movie this is, I can say I love this scene. It's not just because it's corny, but it seems to me that it's not just that Peter Parker turned into a straight dick... People will say that this scene was unnecessary, but to be honest, I felt that by this point the movie had become too dark, so maybe this scene was added to "Liven" things up a bit so the audience could have something to laugh at.

Each Spider-Man movie ripped something off from a Superman movie- like Peter Parker losing his powers in "Spider-Man 2" being a ripoff from Clark Kent giving up his superpowers in "Superman 2". Sam Raimi was going to copy "Superman 4: The Quest For Peace" by having the newspaper bought out by a new owner and him having a daughter who would be in love with Peter Parker just like Lacy Warfield was in love with Clark Kent.
