  • "Perry welcomed Chinese telecom firm despite security concern" -Washington Post 8-15-11. Huawei's Cheif Ren Zhengfei, is a former leader in the People's Liberation Army who helped oversee the Chinese military telecom intelligence in the 1980's. 3 times since 2008, the US government has blocked this company's attempts at buying US telecom infrastructure citing their strong ties to the Chinese military. none of this stopped perry from being the guest of Ren on a trip to China.
