I remember when Surveyor III landed on the moon in April of 1967.Apollo 12 lands there 21/2 years later and the astronauts take parts of it off and bring it back to Earth.There were living bacteria inside one of the cables,but it was Earth bacteria that somehow survived after all that time.Incredible.They also setup a seisometer that recorded the crash of the S IV B from Apollo 13. Good job after being struck by lightning and accidently burned out the lense of the live TV camera.Good job boys.

Any person with the slightest knowledge of photography can explain the haircrosses and the absence of stars (it has been explained thousands of times on the Web). The horizon is close because , A: the Moon is much smaller than the Earth, B: The surface is not totally flat. No wires are seen anywhere. Do you know how film works? It works by a chemical reaction. The bright light makes the color "bleed" in the chemical around the shadow of the cross.
You will see that effect in all cases in all the pictures where the light area is narrow and surrounded by a dark background and the the light area crosses the cross.

On film (this was FILM, not a digital camera), areas of high exposure (bright objects) tend to "bleed" and wash out narrow lines like the hair crosses. This phenomenon is well known by photographers and anyone with knowledge about photography. No fake at all.
Click on photos AS12-48-7148 to 7150, and then click on the high res version listed with each photo (and zoom in). You can CLEARLY see he's holding it in his hand, where it even casts shadows over his fingers. And you can see bright areas 'bleed' over the crosses (see hand in 7149).

Have you ever taken an image that is overexposed White parts bleed into the film around them making them look white too. Thats all that happened here; the white object in the image`fills in' the black crosshair. It's a matter of contrast the crosshair becomes invisible because the white part overwhelms the film.

Furthermore, even if you were on the dark side of the moon and took pictures of the sky, no stars would show up. The exposures of ordinary camera's are simply too short, this goes for both Earth and the moon.

Oh, they do twinkle here on a hot evening when the atmosphere is really unstable, and they never do on the moon. But our atmosphere blocks and scatters only a little light, mostly in the blue -- which is why our daytime sky is blue.

The horizon is close because , A: the Moon is much smaller than the Earth, B: The surface is not totally flat. No wires are seen anywhere. Do you know how film works? It works by a chemical reaction. The bright light makes the color "bleed" in the chemical around the shadow of the cross.
You will see that effect in all cases in all the pictures where the light area is narrow and surrounded by a dark background and the the light area crosses the cross.

On film (this was FILM, not a digital camera), areas of high exposure (bright objects) tend to "bleed" and wash out narrow lines like the hair crosses. Have you ever taken an image that is overexposed White parts bleed into the film around them making them look white too. Thats all that happened here; the white object in the image`fills in' the black crosshair. It's a matter of contrast the crosshair becomes invisible because the white part overwhelms the film.

If only my pathetic little third world country could afford to do that, my childhood dream would come true by now, and I'd prove to you people that it's possible to land a man on the moon, although I don't even have to because they already have.

I do believe most of the moon landing was fake, do to the fact that russia never landed there. Russian Space program has seen hundreds of launches of both men and women in space at the hight of the cold war. But even they knew about the large resks to shot an object thousands of miles at super sonic speeds and then hitting the moon with out distroying its cosmonauts is imposible even to this day. Why we never returned there and how come the hubble telescope cant see the landing site?

@nitojo7 (1of2) Firstly, work on your spelling. Secondly, the Russian space program began way earlier, so just because they had the idea it doesn't mean that they'd be able to be the first ones to try it right then and there. And as for your statement that they'd go at supersonic speeds... Ahahahaha... No, they only need to do so to get out of the Earth's atmosphere, and naturally they'd have to slow down, and they're also not aiming to towards the moon without the intention of decelerating...
