Yes, a voice of spellbinding beauty. And as a man I reserve the right to point out that Ms. McDonald is one of the most beautiful woman on the planet. Unfortunately, I can't get past the feeling that a voice such as hers is best suited for arias and not selections from the American songbook. She was on a Sondheim tribute last fall, and her performance was the least moving because it's wrong for Broadway.
