I saw Springsteen play at the LA Coliseum in 1985, it was one of his late September shows, not sure if this was the actual night. It was the greatest concert I have ever been to. He played 4 1/2 hours..FOUR HOURS...and the crowd was on their feet almost the entire time dancing in the isles. I am from NJ and was in LA that year for college. 60,000+ people at the LA Coliseum witnessed one of the greatest performances of the 1980's that night.
I'm only 18 but Bruce Springsteen is the most influential musician in my life. I was brought up on The Boss, I never liked Bieber and I will never life rubbish like that. This man has touched the hearts of millions of people. Bieber has toucher over millions of dollars. Not even remotely fair.

I saw Springsteen play at the LA Coliseum in 1985, it was one of his late September shows, not sure if this was the actual night. It was the greatest concert I have ever been to. He played 4 1/2 hours..FOUR HOURS...and the crowd was on their feet almost the entire time dancing in the isles. I am from NJ and was in LA that year for college. 60,000+ people at the LA Coliseum witnessed one of the greatest performances of the 1980's that night.

Written by Woody as a response to Irving Berlin's 'God Bless America' which was popular on the radio as sung by Kate Smith (and soon to be re-released by the dynamic trio of Bachman,Palin,Perry Drive). He was supposedly a bit tired of it so he wrote 'This Land' as a rebuttal of sorts. No matter it has been hijacked by many who have no idea of the true meaning.One of the Greatest songs ever written. Google the missing verses they are amazing.
