Do you have Dungeon Siege 1 running in fullscreen? Mine works but like 2 inches from both sides of the screen are empty, i've tried everything, different resolutions, compatibility modes etc. Help Pl0x! :D
@Skully11O I'm running it on a widescreen monitor, 1920 X 1080 resolution. Try Googling "Dungeon Siege Windows 7" and click the first link on DeathMarine's journal. I followed all of his steps, and I also did two more things:
@Skully11O That's strange... when I was editing the Notepad .ini files in the Documents folder I also made sure to set my custom resolution to what I wanted.
@Blade3327 Yeah, set custom resolution to 1366x768, shows these numbers in the video settings and all, but still, doesn't use the edges of the screen, maybe the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 i have isn't fully compatible with older games, or maybe Toshiba laptops are just gay (does that trick with Heroes of Might and Magic III aswell) :(.. But yeah, at least I can play.

Everything doesn't suck, I love new games like AC and Dragon Age, but I just don't get the new fps mania, game costs like almost 100 dollars, and you get 4-6 hours of gameplay. Not cool in my point of view.

As for the FPSmania, I agree that the FPS market gets way too much attention, but I think that's kinda irrational. Here's 2 points to consider:
1. Every era of games has genres that get way too much attention. Look at fighting games and platformers over the last 20 years. Each had periods where they was just WAY too many of them.
2. Just because there's lots of shooters, that doesn't mean there's not some gems. Crysis is an fantastic game if you ask me, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas are Action RPGs for crying out loud. Accusing them of not being "real" seems silly to me.

No, no, not at all. You're perfectly entitled to it. @Hound419 (i know this post was 3 months ago but..) i think they did. its just my opinion i've always loved how brutal and barbaric the attack animation was as gameplay. DS3 looks too fantasy like with its flashing lights and colorful spells.

@Hound419 I preordered and I haven't even played the damn game yet, Played the Demo which sucked on a level I can't comprehend, hopefully when I get my 360 controller out it will respond better but it just felt soooo impossibly bad (controls are shit for brains), for example the legion character felt like a dipshit with about as much character as a wet cloth...actually that is an insult to wet cloths everywhere. So I havent played it yet apart from the start of the Demo maybe I'm being too harsh

I agree with the general idea of what you're saying, but Dungeon Siege might not be the best example for a complex game, having like 3 attributes, 3 skills and... that's pretty much it, complexity-wise. The rest is just collecting items and spells. En masse. Slaughtering hordes of enemies. Very strange enemies. In very strange regions. Lots of enemies. I need to play Dungeon Siege again :(
@ALM4STER Yes it does! Go to the main folder (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Dungeon Siege) Click on the DSVideoConfig.Exe, it will say "primary display driver" Switch to your graphics card (NOT THE TnL ONE!) and it works great!
The reason why I got this game back and playing was all thanks to this... one... theme. Sure it was repetitive in the game, it was better off repetitive since this is one the best game theme's there is, can't be the best though... too short awesomeness :C
Lolz I played this game not that long ago, it was pretty awesome. Had like a 76 lvl dude and had his gear all modded up. Will defs play it again when I get the chance. The son in this vid is the coolest of them all in this, to bad it only plays at the start and when you kill Gom
And the theme sing really fits into the gameplay while fighting Gom at the end and during gameplay in the Farmlands at the beginning. if you thinnk about it. if your warrior was irl and all the game was irl. when fiting gom he would remember the farmlands if u know what i meen.

Funny how Dungeon Siege has like 200 songs in it's extended full soundtrack (from what I've heard) and atleast half of them feature the theme with a very slight change ;)
It's what makes video game music good, in my opinion. You have the same with games like MGS, or even some movies. It's good to have a certain small thing to hold on to, especially a little thing as epic as this!
Ah I remember when i first played Dungeon Siege, those where the days. I was young and got hooked on it hard. And it was only the demo to, so I played that demo maany times. Man I wish i could go back :( everything was much simpler back in the days. Ah guess im just getting nostalgic.

i love this game, i first played it when i was 8, and it gave me such a weird feeling, i was scared of it haha, but i found it interesting, one of the best RPGs in my opinion.. does anybody know if theres any store that still sells these games? dungeon siege = epic

Funny how Dungeon Siege has like 200 songs in it's extended full soundtrack (from what I've heard) and atleast half of them feature the theme with a very slight change ;)

It's what makes video game music good, in my opinion. You have the same with games like MGS, or even some movies. It's good to have a certain small thing to hold on to, especially a little thing as epic as this!

Ah I remember when i first played Dungeon Siege, those where the days. I was young and got hooked on it hard. And it was only the demo to, so I played that demo maany times. Man I wish i could go back :( everything was much simpler back in the days. Ah guess im just getting nostalgic.
