saw their first fillmore east gig on the bill with Black Sabbath...they were second on the bill....and blew Black Sabbath away!!!!!!...HEAVY BAND!!!!!!!!!!
Saw em' open for the STONES in LA back in 80, or 81I can't remember which year it was now. They kick ass. A great lil' band. It was funny Prince Opened the show, and got boo'd off stage, people were throwing stuff at the dude. I mean you just didn't open for the STONES in zebra spandex back then. George Througood played and he kicked some butt too. Prince,George, j Geils, and STONES good show.
@wc4dblues great show. we never missed them or anyone else! back in the day when you could afford it! i personaly would have been all over prince in spndex! but that's just me.
First time I saw them was at the Paramount in Seattle in the early 70's - they opened for Edgar Winter and White Trash. One friend thought they were from Boston but we really had no idea who they were. OMG! They blew the house apart! Winters, though excellent, was a snore in comparison. Was lucky enough to see them a couple years later, again at the Paramount - they were the top band then. One of the best live bands ever.
Yo, martianshoes....Wolf stopped the show at NY Acadamy of Music late 70's.."you MF (i.e. bouncers/security) either get up here and go back stage for beers or we ain't playing" Ripped the place apart after that! One of the greatest R 'n R shows I ever saw! :)))
I was at a JGB show in Chattanooga in the fall of 1973, Peter Wolf stopped the band in the middle of a song to throw a couple of rent-a-cops off the stage. The crowd went ballistic...Danny Klein was playing a pink Flying V bass that night...they did not miss a damn note all night.....
The "Full House" album is absolutely another one of the all time best live albums ever!! [ along with Thin Lizzy's, Stones, U. Heep, B.O.A., U.F.O''s respective live albums as well ]
Damn, Saw them 1st in 73' and many times after..Saw them New Years' 09. They are serious musicians and noboldy live comes close. Bad Boys from Boston..Yeah!!!

anyone remember their Christmas party gigs at the Philly Spectrum? Mid 70's.
Sam and Dave opened once, too bad the roadies just threw their equipment out in a jumble.
I agree, rock and roll hall of fame material. Maybe because you have to see them to appreciate.

Rock was the shit in the 70's. None of this bullshit like today (my apologies to the few "real" bands that are alive and well).

Their live recordings are some of the best music in the last 50 years. The Woofa Goofa and Company still rule!
