@sheffieldmvp I take it you haven't seen previous vlogs; my girlfriend and I created a successful business that was greatly affected by the economy resulting in a large amount of debt. We each work over 100 hours a week on client jobs as well as other ways to potentially earn more money while also saving for our cross country move from LA to NYC. Business is getting better gradually. We'll survive a V-Day at McDonald's.
The barking really makes me sad. That dog will be put down if taken away, all because the stupid effing owners won't let him inside. If I had money, no joke, I would fly there, go into their back yard, steal their dog, and then find it a wonderful home with owners who would treat it with love and respect it deserves. It's only barkin because it's lonely. Or idk, it's stuck outside all damn day in California heat. ahhh. I'm officially irked. Please go rescue the dog. It'd make an awesome vlog. <3
@woolife Thanks, makes us sad too. I was a dog owner for 23 years. Our dog lived inside and was loved. In my CA neighborhood, everyone leaves their dogs in the backyard 24/7, rain or 120ºF, and they never stop barking. We're one of two homes in the entire neighborhood who don't do this. The poor dog behind us would tear me to shreds if I got near it. It's there to kill. The owners are revolting people (we've met them). We always try to help lost dogs and have taken in 10 stray cats.
Awww...I was planning on buying pizza for you all for VDay and spent much of the day trying to find a place near you that I could purchase by phone and have delivered. I sent a couple emails out to stores/bakeries with no response. Then I sent one to Jer and just got his response that he is on a diet. Bah to Valerios Bakery and to Albersons. :-(
BTW....If your cat is spending a lot of time watching high up, you might have mice.
@Sappigal Awww, yeah, pizza here is always tricky. We appreciate the thought! :) Ugh, Jerry and his diet! I don't let my strict diet get in the way of eating fattening things! ;) I would 99% rule out mice. No signs of them, and if you've ever seen our Moochies in action, you'd know when they saw or smelled live food. Moochie would climb up the wall if she thought there were mice. Probably just ghosts :) (Seems like ghosts could find a better place to live though...)
My cat used to do the same thing. One time it got into it's attack mode, but there wasn't anything there. So we let him outside. Then my brother and I saw this shadow move across our wall and got freaked out. We were the only ones home. So, at least you didn't see anything.
XD That thing with the peeps was HILARIOUS! I believed it for a moment. XD

Idk, how you deal with this like that in the US, I know, that when some people I know have problems with the neighbors dogs barking they warn the owner and so the barking stops, since he wants to have all it possessions in good standing not to mention his health and well being :D but I guess in the US you would get sued for threatening, or smth :D but if not, then threaten the living shit out of them :D
@RaijinNoKen There are specific laws in most states (including CA) that prohibit nuisance barking. What they're doing is against the law. We talked to them, reported them, and even took them to court. The judge reissued their dog licenses with specific conditions. If they do not comply, the dogs will be removed and possibly euthanized. I never follow up with the final report b/c I'd feel badly if the dogs were killed even though they make living here awful.
@Lissagirl99 Thanks :) Give it another month or so and the flowers should really be exploding. Most of Mia's animation goes to clients, but hopefully soon she'll have more time for the vlogs. We have lots of fun stuff we want to do, hopefully soon!
@nathanwwe Thanks :) We've talked to our neighbors, we gave it two months and then called animal control. We reported them many times between '07 & '09. Then we had a mediation (after which they got a THIRD dog), and finally a hearing, which we won. That was already a year ago and it's still pretty bad. I also spent $100 on one of those bark-off things from Petco. It makes the surrounding dogs twice as neurotic and has no effect on the big dogs. Just one of many reasons we're trying to move. :-/
