But hydrogen works, Honda have just launched a hydrogen-powered car
Yes, hydrogen powered cars are real and they do work - but these cars are nothing like the HHO "jam-jar" scams being promoted on the Net.
The hydrogen-powered cars sold by Honda and BMW do not rely on a battery to split water and they don't burn that hydrogen in a very inefficient internal combustion engine.
I installed a 15 plate hho cell on my 91 civic w/ 1.5 and Im only getting 39 mpg. what am I doing wrong? The cell produces 1.5 liters a minute at 12 amps. How are you getting 56 mpg with yours?
Since I have made this video I have sold the Civic because of an overseas move. I have installed a 2 Dry Cell 9 Plates ea. system on a 2009 Dodge Ram with a PWM and a Volo Chip which brought MPG from 16 MPG City to 23 City. Then switched to a 31 Plate Dry Cell Producing nearly 4lpm and a 25 City MPG. I am currently working on a system for my 2010 Tahoe since unleaded is nearly $7 a gallon in Germany. I am just waiting to get the funds for a dry cell which is much more efficient than a wet cell.
I just installed an hho generator on my 91 civic yesterday and was wondering if there was anything I need to know before running it. Ive driven it once around the block just to see if there was some changes in performance. I've noticed the exhaust had a weird smell to it. Give me a call.. Please I need as much info as i can get. My names Wade 360 608 1336. Vancouver, washington
@WadeRod If you used lye as an electrolyte, then the wierd smell is a toxic gas produced by the lye. I would not breath the exhaust as it is toxic, read the warnings on the lye container. Also over a long period of time the alkylie could possibly damage your engine. I would use plain baking soda, as it is safe in every way. Not trying to be a busy body, just trying to help. Lol on your hho generator, and have a nice day.
@llROCKETMANll hahaha that is what they want you to think. Hydrogen gas has a higher, more intense combustion. It doesnt really require any research, its basic science. when you add Hydrogen gas to the fuel/air ratio, what you are basically doing is changing the air that is being used for ignition into a more ideal air. the air we breathe is %21oxygen, %78 nitrogen, and about %1carbon Dioxide/other. this burns steadily, but adding hydrogen makes the air mix burn more quickly and efficiently.
I am tired of hearing the does and does not work, I am doing the research now just to see for myself, if it helps awesome! I can save some money, if it doesn't work then it's not a total loss I can still leave with the knowledge and with the cost of making my own it's not any worse than me going out to the club for a night, about the same cost.
now that is out of the way what materials did you use and where did you get them? where are you getting your pure lye?
Do you still have it or did you chuck it? You probably didnt do all the nesassary things you need to make it work, im still getting over 50mpg. Sorry it didnt work out for you but sometimes it takes a little bit more than buying a chinese kit off the internet and installing it, theres actually some trial and error work you really need to do to get the most out of these systems.
sorry to burst your bubbles, THIS DOES NOT WORK. i was very skeptical about it. i bought a kit online and installed it before i went to vegas (4 hr drive) and DID NOT WORK AT ALL. i've go to vegas twice a year. but it was a fun project. i ripped it out a month later.
@Perfectasthis you probably got a bad kit or installed it wrong, I get 42mpg out of my 2001 hyundai elantra used to get 29-32 mpg before. HHO is the future my friend, do more research, it took me a while to get it working right. currently getting ready to upgrade the kit, looking to hit 50mpg.
It looks good. Without a pwm it will over heat and melt enclusive at the terminals. I was thinking that maybe a temp switch shut off would be good. Also the plater you used will disintegrate so make a spare. 716 ss would be better. The dry cells seem to work good as well. It looks nice and clean.
I love CAKE, but this does not inform enough!!!!!!!

@jnuhri0923 Did you have to make your truck run lean to get results?
