  • my buddy just turned 18, got him one of these. its funnnn to go cruisin around the weekend nights in it!

  • Would this car be able to handle twists and turns like say a BMW 3 series? Or at least close to it? Maybe like a VW GTI?

  • i have drove the car and i sort of like it but the seats are horrible. my gf has the 2011 charger with the v6. and launching off the line it didnt spin on dry pavement. ya the car has 298 hp at the engine but the car weighs over 5000 pounds. i like the screen in the center of the dash. you can control everything from there. and like the push button start.

  • @TheManistheshit So, it's reasonable to say the Charger is like a cruel joke? American freedom, running wild with 298bhp, but slower than grandma with swollen ankles because the car weighs 5,000 lbs. And making the base model the only model many people can afford, which is dull. The action-packed, fully-loaded model being too pricey for only a few to afford. The car that seems to be excellent for taking a trip across America turning out to be another daily commute. Ouch.

  • @betatalk357 i have a friend that has an 08 charger with the v8. he has alot of stuff done to it tho. but that car will get up and go. on the 2011 model the only thing i like is the suspension. i have a 2005 dodge ram with the 5.7 hemi and my truck gets better gas mileage. they turned one of the best muscle cars into a family sedan and neutered it.

  • @betatalk357 that's the base model. the hemi has 370hp, the srt 470hp. just depends on what you can spend. i agree with you on pay vs costs these days. nuts.

  • @TheManistheshit For a minute, I was ready to put aside my hatred of dull American cars for the sake of revitalizing America. But when given a second chance, it appeared they changed their tune, but is singing the same old song. Try to offload poor-selling Sebrings as 200s, the Avenger having a no-power 4 cylinder and slouching brakes. And the new Charger weighing so much and the trunk is more for show rather than function.

  • @betatalk357 good thing a lot of people disagree with you or i'd be out of work. but people are getting better about checking us out for themselves and ignoring haters.

  • @blueduster74 There's a difference between hating and disliking underperforming/ gas guzzling cars. Come on. $30k for a BASE Charger no one wants new, pre-owned, or used? For that much for a car, it'd better have SOME toys or a v8. And what good is 300 horsepower if the car weighs 5,000 pounds? That's like asking a kid to push a tractor tractor down the road. And try to stop 5,000 lbs. on a dime. The passenger compartment and trunk is woefully small for a car that's supposed to be "big."

  • @blueduster74 Don't get me started on the Avenger or the 200. The 4 cylinders are crap, gets poor fuel economy and no power, the brakes are terrible, the value sinks faster than the Titanic, and although reliable, the parts/ repairs are high because Mitsubishi makes their parts. To get the nice one, it costs $28k. 28 grand for a decent car, which many aren't goning to spend on a car like that, and the base models which are terrible, will eat a large hole in a family man's wallet.

  • @blueduster74 They need to sell a lot of them to make money, but they're not practical nor affordable for the main market target. Again, what's the point of making cars like this if only a few can buy them? For the bailout money they got, they'd could've improved the whole line of their cars across the board to become viable. It's almost as if they deliberately DON'T want to be viable. What's the point of "improving" cars or introducing "The All New..." if the improvements are only slight?

  • @betatalk357 both these replies were relevant 2 years ago maybe. not now. the trunk on these are as bis as a crown vic, what more do you need? the opening is smaller because of styling. so? a bmw is worse. i know, my dumd nieghbr bought a 335 and regrets it. he should have bought a 370z for the same money he says every time i see him. why are yu complaining about the 4cyl 200? get the 290hp 3.6 then. and they don't have a partnership with mitsu any mre. not the same 2.4 that you are thinking of.

  • @blueduster74 Sure, a Charger's trunk is big, but what good is it if you can only put lots of LITTLE stuff in it? Your wife can get all her shopping in it, but you can't throw your 60" plasma in the back of that bitch. People who buy cheap and cheerful cars are poor and are looking for a reasonably priced car with a few toys. To get a decent Avenger or 200, you have to buy the 3.6. But what if you can't afford it? That means you have to buy the 2.4, which is terrible.

  • @blueduster74 The 4 speed auto is horrible and the jury's still out on their 6 speed auto. For a car of its price range, there is a lot of competitors who offer more features, more fuel economy, more power with their cars. People bought Avengers more than the 200, so why keep making 200s? They never sold well when they used to be Sebrings, any way.

  • @blueduster74 All in all, they'll be left with a lot of 200s and some Avengers, many of them 4cyls, of which they wasted money making and won't sell, but they'll waste space on dealer's lots when they could've have better models for sale. That's why I believe they are being deliberately obtuse in business decisions. A business profits by making and selling products people want, need, and is versatile. So why are they wasting resources making cars that aren't handy, affordable, and won't sell?

  • @TheManistheshit Come on, Big 3. You can do better! Stop screwing around or you will continue to lose money!

  • @HuErigerable GM Surpassed Chrysler sales with the purchases of PPV Police Patrol Vehicles alone, in fact, out of all three American Auto manufacturers who needed a bail out; Chrysler , Jeep , Dodge was was in the worst shape of them all. to this day, despite beautiful vehicles, Chrysler's sales are still lower than Ford and GM, and reliability ratings are nothing compared to their american competitors.

  • @HuErigerable GM got $50 billion and a second chance, but they're still not selling. Chrysler/ Dodge is in a bit better shape than GM, but if they don't sell enough cars, I guarantee Fiat will dump Chrysler/ Dodge back on the market and either they'll need a bailout or they're gone forever.

  • @HuErigerable What I'm trying to say is how will Chrysler or Dodge expect to survive and thrive if they don't make vehicles that fit major demgraphics of drivers? The Magnum, the older version of the Charger, the Sebring, and the Avenger hardly sold. A car not sold means less income for the company. The Neon ranked #1 as the worse selling car AND #1 car lease likely to be targeted by car thieves. How bad does a car have to be that not even car thieves want it?

  • @HuErigerable The Mustang now uses the gearbox out of a BMW M3. It also grinds gears because Ford didn't properly set the gearbox up right in the first place. It needs shims to align the shifter with the gearbox and shift fork. Then again, the gearbox was made for a BMW, not a Mustang.

The Focus has fit and finish problems. The center steering wheel cover sags and is no longer flush with the rest of the steering wheel and the door/ seals don't fit properly, leaking rainwater into the car.

  • @HuErigerable The Fusion, after 2 years, slips gears when the fluid is too hot and thin, bypasses the regulator valve. This revs up the engine, and when it does reengage a higher gear, it bangs into gear. This "American car" was made in South America!

  • @HuErigerable By far, the better choice for an American car, a lot better than that GM bullshit and Fords that break down after 2 years. Can you believe that? Ford has the balls to say the Fiesta, Fusion, and Focus are American cars. The Fiesta and Focus are German made. The Fiesta now has problems with gear grinding because the double clutch they use on its transmission fails after 2 years.

  • @HuErigerable The Europeans charge more because that car can definitely hold its ground at 150mph. You might be able to do 150mph in a Dodge, but how well is its grip? If the Dodge loses grip and crashes, was it worth your life by saving $30k? And spending that kind of money on BMW, Merc, etc. the value holds because everyone wants one. How many people, after 10 years, are going to go.... ooooohhhh... so very much want a beat up Dodge?

  • @HuErigerable Parts are not cheap because they are made by Mitsubishi. Phenominally reliable, I have nothing against Mitsubishi, but better have a wallet full of cash everytime it needs repairs. To get the most out of the car, you need a wife and kids and use it 10 to 20,000 miles a year. Doing that wears the car down quicker, not to mention drain your money supply (If the wife and kids hadn't bled you dry already.),

  • @HuErigerable @HuErigerable Yes, but what I mean is this car isn't practical for many people. This car is for the middle class in America... a class that is dwindling. A fully loaded Veloster costs $23k; a fully loaded Accent costs $17k; a BASE model Charger costs $25k. Who wants a BASE Charger? A car like that, you want toys in it. And Dodges are gas hogs. Even my 2.4 Stratus averaged 20 mpg, even with careful driving and 5,000 miles a year driven, it costs me $1k at the pumps a year.

  • Too much chrome and ugly rims... But still a good looking car except for the stuff I said.

  • ugliest chargers eva

  • Getting myself one when I finally get my first full time job!

  • Love the power, not really a fan of the looks

  • Aggressive, good amount of speed. And still large enough to comfortably sit friends and family.

  • it's the RT that you guys were driving? right?

  • @ManiFunBoy no its the V6.

  • @ManiFunBoy v6 homie he said it was under a few less than 300hp

  • @rushil10200 Ohh Danggg Your a Gangster over the Internet!.....

  • ANYONE KNOWS HOW MUCH DOES THIS CAR COST IN EUROS ?

    PLEASE AWSNER ! :)

  • I would buy this car just for the huge LED taillight.

  • Dear dodge. I will send u my mailing adress, u send me 4 chargers and a challenger. thank u.

  • When I first sat in an '11 Charger, I was appalled to find that the whole interior was covered with pebbly-textured hard plastic. When I touched it, however, I was shocked to learn that it was actually a soft-touch material.

Why did Dodge invest so much effort on improving the interior if the high-quality materials mimic crappy hard plastics? Serious turn-off in an admittedly fantastic sedan.

  • Back lighst fucking reminds me an Nissan 240 SX

  • is this some stupid rock music video or a review video. HATE listening to music over an engine im trying to listen to.

  • 1:41 he says challenger...

  • I hate how it doesnt even look remotely like the older verison ..just saying

  • I like it but I think chargers should be pure muscle, no family shit going on. put two doors on it. This car could be renamed, left as it is with the 290 hp horsepower auto and a lower fuel consuming v6 as well. Maybe get rid of the shitty avenger and replace it with this. Get charger a 6 speed manual for gearheads and an 8 speed auto for those disabled car enthusiasts out there. Maybe even get a dsg type transmission in there to show people dodge isn't pussying around. Get respect or else.

  • @notecages25 As the family guy who wants some muscle this is the only car in the market that provides. It. Wife and two kids isn't going in a mustang or camero. You want two doors you buy a challenger, this is for us family tupes that want to enjoy driving during the week and have some fun on the weekends. I'm not saying your one of these, but I see a lot of people talk about how they want these powerful cars, but I'm one of the only ones I know that's actually got one.

  • @Defenstrator, yeah I agree with u on that one my man, I got two kids and a wife who does not drive stick. I have an old 1970 cougar project car for me and an auto civic for her:) I just don't like sport sedans being named after legendary muscle cars. I think the SRT 8 is insanely awesome and would be more comfortable with a challenger, but I can see why people would get this, I just think dodge is a few years behind everyone else in terms of having more options on their cars like a manual.

  • @Defenstrator what model do you have? se, rallye, rallye plus, r/t, r/t plus, r/t road and track, or the r/t max?

  • @TheManistheshit My car is the R/T Road & Track. This is essentially the same car as the american r/t max (I'm canadian) but doesn't have the adaptive cruise control. It has the solid black grill and the sport suspension package.

I have to say, love my car. Nice to drive around day to day, lots of fun if you stomp on the gas. But where it really shines is the highway. We drove from Victoria to Seattle and back and it was just a pleasure.

  • @Defenstrator That's the point I was trying to make with people. A lot of people want a powerful family vehicle that goes like hell, but many can't have them because they can't afford it. But they're not going to buy an underpowered, no frills car either. So how's Chrysler going to be profitable if many can't afford the decent car, yet don't want to buy the cheap but miserable car?

  • @betatalk357 got news for you, none of the cars under 25k are worth a shit. those are the cars that were 12k 20 years ago.

  • @blueduster74 So, let me get this straight. The auto industry thrives if it sells a lot of cars, but is dependent on Americans buying a lot of American cars to stay in business. Anything under $25k is a piece of shit; but many Americans can't afford to waste $25k on a set of wheels. So a few buyers get the good cars and the rest are stuck buying shit, a fully loaded import, or go mass transit. Tell me, how did the bailouts save the Auto Industry from going out of business, again?

  • @betatalk357 how is this different fron your imports? every car company does it this way. always have. they are worse about it actually. a golf, civic tercel or avenger? hmmm, i know which one i'd take having driven all of them in the last 2 years.

  • @betatalk357 and remember, these 25k cars were half that 20 years ago. houses and cars have doubled in price over that time.

  • @blueduster74 Yes, but people's pay rates has remained at a steady rate for 20 years. Recently, due to the recession and we're about to go into another one, pay is steadily decreasing. How can a working poor man be able to afford houses and cars that keep raising in prices? Now we have 72 month car loans. Back in the '90s, it was 60 months MAX.

  • @blueduster74 If consumers get $25k to spend, would they spend it on...

    A) A heap of junk car

    B) 25 nights' worth of upscale call girls

    C) 5 $5,000 all expenses paid vacation at a destination of their choice

    D) Renovate their house

    E) A new boat

    F) College tuition for the kids

Here's a hint: All other options are much better than Option A. I guess the Big 3 better brush the dust off their resume and start looking for positions at their rivals' plants.

  • @betatalk357 none of the imports are worth a crap at that price either.

  • @blueduster74 So then, hows the Big 3, much less any auto maker supposed to become profitable if it becomes too much of a hassle to have a decent car at a decent price that they give up and go mass transit?

  • @betatalk357 Dude, the base model of this car isn't underpowered. It has a 290 hp engine. My comment was about all these people who talk big about horsepower, but don't buy the higher end cars. I don't know how Dodge could go out of businsess with product like this becuase I love my car. The looks, ride, features, are all right up there with anything in its class. I shopped around befire getting mine and have no regrets.

  • @Defenstrator Sure, your Charger's got 290bhp, but it has to lug around 5,000 lbs. A fully loaded Avenger R/T has 283bhp, but it has to lug around only 3,300 lbs. The Avenger R/T has more horsepower per ton than your Charger, and more than likely, more options as well. The base Avenger SE and SXT has a useless 170bhp 2.4 that produces little punch and little fuel economy.

  • @betatalk357 i rented an avenger rt last summer with the 4cly.(V6 is optional, not standard) it drove better that the honda they gave me the week before. it had no trouble passing or with hills on the trip back and forth from SD to Vegas. a month later i got stuck with a kia and that car sucked. a coworker bought a jetta a few months ago and is really let down by it. he bought it with only a short test drive because he had a 04 he liked. he liked our Avenger rental after 3 days in it.

  • @blueduster74 My '96 stratus was okay, but 140bhp wasn't enough for that car. The 4 speed auto was horrible. Acceleration was terrible, it was better to drive fast with the car once you got up to speed, which was rarely. The brakes got warped each year trying to stop a 3,000 lbs. car with useless drum/disc brakes. 15 years later, their "improvements" is 4 wheel discs and get an extra 30bhp out of it? The New Dart has 184bhp from its 2.4; another measly 14bhp up from the Avenger's 4cyl.

  • @blueduster74 Avenger rt came as a 4cyl? I thought, for 28k, it should've came with the v6. My supervisor has a newish Jetta. He recently spent 3k replacing the valves after the timing chain went and had to order the parts from Germany. Hyundai and Kia started off with engine problems in the '90s, but since they redid all of their cars, its an unknown right now.

  • @blueduster74 Dodges have some consistency, other than those piece of shit Fords which have tranny problems 2 years later and GM vehicles that fall to pieces in less than 60,000 miles. But they need to pick up the pace in terms of fuel economy, performance, and reasonable prices for today's marketplace.

  • @Defenstrator If you watch "Dodge Avenger Car Rental Review" on Youtube, the reviewer hit the nail on the head when he said that the only people who'd buy that type of underpowered car is the "Buy American" crowd. Somebody who doesn't have a lot of money to spend on a car but needs a somewhat reliable car. They'll just have to make do with its faults; i.e. no power, lackluster quality control, and repairing it is easy as getting a sledge hammer and hammering that bitch back into place.

  • I test drove a 2011 accord excellent car but it didn't put a smile in my face, drove a Camry and I almost fell asleep when the sales person was describing the reilability record of the Camry very good car but soulless and very boring!! Just drove a Dodge Charger R/T and it woke me up, the look of the interior and the sound of the V-8 that no rice burner from japan can't match, put a smile in my face instantly and I just puchased one! Thank you Dodge and thack you Fiat!! Bella Macchina!

  • Chrysler should give the option of a Ferrari v8.

  • Comment removed

  • It looks very similar to an evo 10

  • es el 5.7 o 6.4...???

  • @unavezGT 5.7, 6.4 tiene 475 caballotes de fuerza.

  • not a big car fan or anything, but the back of this car looks similar to the dodge challanger

  • an 8-speed auto is coming I heard. And please fix the front. I think the tail looks amazing, but the front, I really don't like the lights where angled like that.

  • it aint the same charger.. old skool was 2 door muscle. now it a 4 door with a V8 under the hood.

  • i wonder how much they got paid to say all that stuff

  • @stickmaster90 They pay us by the word so you'll have count the words to know how much we made. Actually they paid us the exact same amount you paid to watch this review.

  • Still just a hacked-up Chrysler 300!!! At least the Challenger had some intelligent input before being released.

  • Even if the Charger is a 4 door, it can still play with the big boys. Dodge nailed it

  • I WILL have this car before the year ends. SEXY!!!!

  • What price is this car in the max setting, meaning the highest package for this car, like added features and etc?

  • i would love to have a car like this my dad would of been proud of me. He loved this line of car.

  • I'll admit, this car is sexy. I'm only interested in this because its a Sport Sedan... If chevy made a 4 door camaro I wouldn't even think twice about this.

  • Buy this car because this blows away the damn redneck.

  • Dodge should really thank FIAT and the LANCIA Design Studio that re-designed the interiors for the new 2011 model

  • Y isn't America leading? Y are we always CHASING? You know that Toyota commercial that says everyone is comparing to them? We have always had the ability to lead. I know we have. We have chosen to be LAZY. When I look at the Buick Lacross original interior and the Lucern dashboard same with the 2005 300 and how bout that BASE model? My 2002 Impala LS had the hardest door panels And cheap hard plastic dashboard for $28K? We have chose to be good enough. I hope that has changed for good!

  • dear dodge, please offer a manual transmission in future charger models, automatic is boring!

  • @cibodrake also offer a coupe model!

  • @cibodrake

Next year's model; albeit not a fully manual transmission in the SRT8 edition; will have paddle shifters; just wish it would have more than a 5-speed auto. I'm hearing with the base Pentastar V-6 in the '12 model will have a new 8-speed auto; and the hemis come a year later.

  • @cibodrake I believe the 2012's are. But don't quote me on that

  • @cibodrake AGREED! I thought I was the only one, its those stupid california bimbos who demand their high performance sports cars in auto because they're too incompetent to drive stick that ruin it for all of us men

American, V8, and manual transmission, never settle for anything less.

  • @cibodrake That'd be awesome

  • @cibodrake get the r/t model and its like a manual with out a clutch. but its still not the same. i agree dodge needs to offer a manual

  • @cibodrake it has auto and manual in all models without a clutch

  • this charger is better than last one. cleaner design

  • I'm stunned that its still ugly as hell. Chargers are over rated and ugly Sorry. If they made it in a TWO door like they suppose to and get rid of the dodge Ram front end, keep it from NOT looking so much like a damn Chrysler 300, and the old Intrepid tail lights, then we are talking. As for the new one, it now looks like damn Durango/LANCER, STILL with the 300 body, with the bar-tail lights which is the only thing recognizable to the REAL charger, but that's sad! TRY AGAIN

  • does it come with a manual? I've only ever seen it with an automatic.

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L so far no...the 2012 model should come with a manual and an 8speed auto

  • @pzpepsi Well that's kind of lame. Doesn't an automatic defeat the purpose of a sportier car like the charger? It would be fine if it had paddle shifters but sadly it does not.

  • take the spoiler off i reckon looks shit with it on :/

  • @tehBLAX : Yes the spoiler does spoil

  • i think they should make the charger a muscle car agin

  • back looks like an audi :|

  • @cantdecidelol whaaaaat?! :DDDD kidding right?

  • 2 DOOR!

  • @dumbPEPSsuck Challenger!

  • @dumbPEPSsuck get a challenger then.

  • @dumbPEPSsuck get a challenger then.

  • @dumbPEPSsuck 4 door look with it

  • @dumbPEPSsuck

They will never consider making a 2 door coupe and even if they did they would have to make the Chrysler 300 as well becuase its a replica

  • @dumbPEPSsuck If you want a 2 door buy a challenger dumbfuck.

  • @dumbPEPSsuck

They have one, it's called the Challenger.

The Charger is a 4 door for a reason.

  • Still don't understand how the Chargers went from 2 door to 4 door. In any case, these new chargers look heaps better than last year and the interior looks great too! Can't wait till they come out with a manual version. That 5 Auto has GOT TO GO.

  • i love 2010 not 2011

  • nothing but dodge/chrysler propaganda to try and boost their dwindling sales

  • @ktonlai haters gona hate

  • to keep your soul it needs to be american not like euro cars

  • @wonderbreadkw Are you kidding? ALL American automakers are using European designs nowadays! Chrysler Group's products are the LEAST European-looking American cars out there! Think about it: The Chevy Malibu is just a rebadging of their European brand's model. So are many of Buick's cars. Ford is also selling the European Fiesta in the US now, which has been essentially unchanged from the Euro model. And their new Focus is pretty European-looking if you ask me.

  • @coda623 "LEAST European looking"? And that's a bad thing ? I've seen some pretty ugly cars (Audi's drop mouth grills for instance, and that really ugly BMW 550i x-drive ) & outright bland designs (the new VW Jetta)

Striving for European handling, interior quality is a good thing, their styling? No thanks. I'll take Chrysler's styling anytime,

  • @4thstooge No I was responding to someone who stated that the car looked too European and not enough American. I actually like the European inspired American cars. Well most of them at least. I think the Ford Fiesta is absolutely putrid. But the Dodge cars are the most American looking cars I've seen. They don't try to completely copy the European cars, unlike what one commenter was implying.

  • and who the hell said hybrid cars are good for the environment , the future is Hydrogen like the FX Clarity ....its been proven that in the long run hybrid cars do more damage to the environment than good and isn't that what there purpose is.

  • till looks like a fat cow...maybe if they squished the front looked less like a pick up and more like what its suppose to be...the back looks alright but it should have been a little wider. cars through out the years seem to be going in the wrong direction you don't need a huge engine to compensate for its weight...just make cars LIGHTER...better fuel economy, better acceleration, breaking, handling...a 1989 Honda CRX gets way better MPG than any hybrid could, and out performs them...

  • I AM ( and I own A 2010 Camaro)

  • COME ON!!! give us a Real Charger!!!

    I REaly hate those 4 doors :(

  • Considering one. Fer serious.

  • This car is mad fierce

  • GAY CAR.... mustangs are way sexier with their new look and throw back look. not to mention powerrrrrrrrrrr... did you notice when the guy said it feel like a "german car" a true american car feels like ... well an american car? to bad they detroyed the charger:(

  • @SEALboy117 Shoulda kept it two doors.

  • guys what name is song after 1:20

  • FRANCE SUCKS!

  • @sexyboi i am sucessful i just dont gloat about what i have and dont have

  • Also, YES! A four door that doesn't make me feel like I'm 75 years old and has an anemic 6 cylinder in it! The Hemi Chargers truly are sexy beasts.

  • @MistyK74525 I'd think twice about having a Hemi for 2 reasons: 1- gas is going to be $5.00 a gal. this summer and 2- the Hemi in my pal's Durango fell apart at 65k miles, WITH ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. Many others had the exact same problem as him. You don't want a car with an engine that'll blow itself apart at 65k miles, do you?

  • @betatalk357 you missed the fact that I already own it. It pulls 25-27 MPG with me driving it . Why buy a sixxer that gets almost the exact same mileage? Also, my husband and I have owned numerous HEMI trucks in the past, never a problem with any of them.

  • @MistyK74525 A sixxer gets the same mpg as your Hemi because you're cruising; it only needs 4 big bore cylinders to move the car. All remaining cylinders don't fire unless you need high torque or high speed at a specific time. Put the hammer down and watch the tank go dry. The sixxer takes longer to go empty than your Hemi. My 4 banger Dodge gets 25-27mpg regardless; all 4 cylinders are running constantly, but takes longer to drain the tank than a sixxer or Hemi.

  • @MistyK74525 And why buy a 4 banger or a sixxer if it gets the same mpg as a Hemi? Wait until you personally have to maintain it. I change 2 o2 sensors, 4 spark plugs and wires and done. Hemi has 3 or 4 o2 sensors, 8 plugs and wires. Plus, additional wear and tear to the engine, diff, and trans from that extra power, costing more in additional repairs later on; my car will last longer because it has little power.

Try to sell v8 cars in a fuel crisis; 4 bangers fly off the shelf.

  • @betatalk357

Actually, whenever I have had a car with low power I've found they don't last as long as a higher powered car. I mean, yeah, I like to floor the v8 more when it comes time for fun but with a 4cyl or a slow v6 i am constantly flooring the car to get up to speed and a smaller engine made for economy isn't really meant to be floored. Bigger engines and bigger cars are also easier to work on, far easier. Also, some of the best engine ever made were v8's.

  • @dobadriver Yes, you have to floor a 4 banger to get it up to speed, but it responds better to granny driving and penny pinching fuel. And, that's how you save fuel/ parts; driving slowly. In the UK, they got cars with 1.0 litre, 4 cylinders developing 90bhp because the tight, small roads they've got, you dont need that much power to get them going and with the speed limits/ short distances between intersections, it's not like you're going to be accelerating any time soon.

  • @MistyK74525 Oh, yes, I almost forgot to tell you. This car is a cop magnet; you can't even back out of your driveway without a boy in blue eyeballing you. I could be speeding, drunk driving in my heap, pissing out the window and the cops wouldn't even glance over at my car.

  • @MistyK74525 Second thing is you didn't think about "The Teen Factor" when you bought this car, did you? You'll take the family around in it, and they'll be pleased with it. When your children turn 16, they'll want to drive the Charger. You'll let them because you want them to have some fun with it, you think they're responsible enough because they got after school jobs, and you're tired of carting them everywhere.

  • @MistyK74525 But when you get it back, the tank's always empty, and the backseat's littered with crappy CDs, clumps of hair, and 9 million hairbrushes. The one summer when they turn 17, you'll go to bed, happy the bills are paid, you're thinking about getting a swimming pool for the house or take the kids to Paris this year because everything's going so well.

  • @MistyK74525 Then, as you drift into the best night of perfect sleep you haven't had in decades, you'll be awoken at 3:49 a.m. Saturday night, early Sunday morning to the sound of a ringing telephone. Upon answering the phone, its the police or Highway Patrol notifying you your car has been in an accident, and they need you down at the station. Fearing the worst, you shake your husband awake, throw some clothes on, and make a mad dash to the station.

  • @MistyK74525 You're relieved when you find out your kids are okay, it was just the car that's totaled. You go back home, tired but unable to sleep. A few hours later, it dawns on you the car's smashed, despite your constant requests to drive carefully because you needed it to go to work Monday morning. So here you are, Sunday afternoon, broken-up sleep and no car for work because the dealerships/ rentals are closed Sunday and the one you had is on the way to the crusher.

  • @MistyK74525 Why? Because your son (if he crashed it), wanted to show off to his guy friends the Hemi, couldn't handle the power, and wrapped it around a telephone pole. Or if it was the daughter who smashed it, was trying to look cute for this handsome guy she saw in the mall parking lot, didn't look where she was going an got broad-sided by a van or SUV.

Let me guess: this sounds familiar to you because this happened to your parents when all the kids in your house turned 17, right?

  • @betatalk357

Um, so you think people only crash in V8's? No. I'm only 23, i remember what it was like when I was 16. If a kid is gonna crash it would happen in any car, not just a v8. Just recently some kids crashed in a Nissan Ultima. I had a friend crash a 94 Cavalier. Because of fast and the furious, a bunch of kids have crashed their 4cyl hatchback hondas because they think they are race cars. When you're 16, it doesn't matter what you drive, ur gonna show off anyways.

  • @dobadriver A kid first jumping into a car is very likely to crash it because his driving skills aren't honed, so he'll freeze up when the car skids out. Yes, he'll show off which increases chances of a crash; but he'll become addicted to the speed and power of a v8 rather than a 4 banger, but again, a deadly mixture when he don't know how to control it.

If you were going target shooting, the first weapon you'd pick up would be a small caliber gun and not a bazooka, yes? Same thing here.

  • @betatalk357 We own a car and a boat dealership. That's why we've owned several. And sold several - because they make money and... and this is the real important part: Because we can. Cya, troll. Go back to fapping over internet porn and talking about that which you do not know with people you do not know.

  • @MistyK74525 Well, it's nice you can afford to throw money away on a car like this. Chrysler and Dodge will need lots more people who got money to burn to keep themselves afloat. The recession opened many other people's eyes and they realize they don't need to throw away huge sums of cash on a car like this that's actually just mere transportation. Besides, many people can't afford new cars these days any ways.

  • @betatalk357

Bad thing is about your statement, Dodge has some of the most reliable, safe, and fuel efficient vehicles on the market. Despite the fact that they actually DON'T cost as much as people bitch about. Cheaper than many a ford vehicle, and twice as durable as a Chevy, they're great vehicles.

  • @ManyTailedFox Yes, Dodge vehicles are far better than ford or gm vehicles, which are a waste of money, but spending 20 or 30 grand for a base charger or 40 grand for a Hemi charger? And all it really is is 4 wheels and transport. If you're going to buy cheap transport, why not spend only a few grand on an older model intrepid and use the rest to buy a house? Or spend it on a Porsche or Mercedes or something as a pleasure car?

  • @betatalk357 I hope you know that the maintenance for those cars are expensive!!!!!..........and diagnostics run the cost even higher!!!!I used to own one so I know

  • @CAJFB Of course Porsche and Mercedes maintenance and repairs are expensive. Those types of cars are meant to be weekend cruisers, not daily drivers. And these cars do speeds of 140mph to 190mph; the car needs excellent parts (that aren't cheap to make, obviously) to handle those speeds. And the car needs to be in top notch condition to be able to keep running at those speeds. You wouldn't drive 187mph with bald tires, would you?

  • @betatalk357

Why would you complain about the price of a dodge, then go say some stupid shit like you're going to buy a porshe..? And, I DO own an intrepid. Aswell as a 90' Daytona, a 93' d100, and a 89 Ramcharger. All run and operate very well, especially the intrepid. The engine& chassis on it have over 360K miles on it, and it runs, handles, and rides very smooth.

  • @ManyTailedFox Because they are asking a large amount of money for a base model, but even more for the better, beefer version (the kind you REALLY want). They're priced like German luxury, but it's just a Dodge, a run of the mill car brand. And the Charger's just another family sedan; it's not really a spectacular car. And Dodge is not anything near as good as a German car.

  • @betatalk357 Run of the mill family sedan? Uh... do you put cocaine in your cereal and hop into a formula one racer one your way to work? While it is a sedan, the typical 'family sedan' is most definitely something like an accord or camry. I pass on the German engineering that I couldn't afford to repair. I want a German mechanic to come in the trunk if I bought one.

  • @trumpet12345 Yes, Accords and Camrys are typical family sedans, but that's because they're bought in greater numbers than Dodge Chargers. And they're cheaper than a Charger. A Mercedes or a Lexus or BMW 5 series are definitely in the luxury sedan because of the price, the options, and the performance. Although Dodge made an attempt to create the Charger to be a mix between the two classes, I just can't justify the price for what you'll get.

  • @trumpet12345 It's too pricey and brash to be a regular family sedan. The bigger engine generates more power, but drinks gas, which kills the family's wallet and vacation plans. The automatic stiffles the engine power, so it's not a muscle car either. Strip the nameplate away and add "Toyota" or "Mitsubishi" (who built engines and cars for Dodge), and it's no different. So, what was the purpose of building the Charger, again?

  • @trumpet12345 If you're going to spend money on a car, make sure you buy the right cars. You can have a cheap, fuel efficient Camry or Accord for family use, and still have lots of cash left over for a more refined, more preferred vehicle of your choice: sports car, luxury car, muscle car, take your pick, you have more choice available. Buying a Charger only saves you the hassle of buying 2 cars, but Charger doesn't work as a casual family sedan nor as a sports car, and it's not luxury.

  • @ManyTailedFox If you're going into German luxury prices, you might as well get a car whose name holds its resale value. Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, BMW are more desired and that keeps the price up. For what they're asking you pay for this average car, you can buy a cheap older Dodge and put the saved money to better use. Buy a house, go on vacation, save for a vacation home, buy a boat, save for the kids' college fund.

  • @ManyTailedFox Because at the end of the day, that Charger's no different than any other car, and when that car gets old, it'll depreciate just like the rest and you're still stuck with an old car that you use to drag your family around in. So what's the point of buying a new car unless it's luxury, exotic, sporty, or special? A car worth its money is one you yourself can enjoy on weekends, taking winding roads, not a dull family sedan. Anything less, you're wasting money and not having fun.

  • I bought an 11 RT with the Super Track Pack this weekend. I've not owned a non-Ford product in 15 years - until now. It is a bit rolly on curves, but not as bad as the RT we drove without the Super Track Pack. I love this car... it has a huge interior - great for hauling my kids and spouse around, and all their crap, it rides great, and runs like a scalded dog.

  • @MistyK74525 My mother had a 04 Bmw 7 series and I got her a daytona and she has never looked back and I had a 2003 S class and I now have a 09 ram and I am not looking back....So I understand

  • im not explaining myself i didnt want you to waste your time on that bullshit DUMBASS "you went to univerity" comment. And its easy to tell when people lie when they say they have nice exspensive things randomly when they dont trying to sound cool. Plus that go run back to daddy comment is the lowest thing ive ever heard from a 22 year old, arent you supposed to be a mature generation becauyse apparently not and ive heard better from a 5 year old at daycare

  • @killjoi577 "And its easy to tell when people lie when they say they have nice exspensive things randomly when they dont trying to sound cool." Sorry for being succesful in life and also having wealthy parents because my graduation present was my Porsche Cayenne S. I never said it was new. its a 2005 model and my mom bought it new, in 04'. I don't have to lie about what I have and what i don't have.

  • @sexyboi142 p.s go run back to daddy :)

  • @sexyboi142 i have gone to college and graduated with honors in mechanics and physics but i dont need any class to tell me you lie through your teeth about everything you say and that you have no friends so you have to lie on youtube to people you dont even know because you know they dont actually know about your shitty life at mcdonalds as a burger flipper

  • @killjoi577 i have no life? Maybe you should stop explaining who YOU really are to me. I and how can you tell if someone is lying..on youtube? You've got to be the biggest dumbass ever. and i have no friends?really lol you have to stoop that low? I have plenty of friends but honestly dude even if i didn't have friends i wouldn't care.
