yeah that's true what are you saying but those speakers were junk because the sound quality wasn't so good ... pioneer isn't junk ... even in my car i have 2 subs pioneer ...

I got some Pioneer stuff and it's decent. I have 2 15 inch woofers. Home kind. They are the clear poly cone type. What did you do with the other speakers?

I removed them from the boxes and i tryied to make a nice 3 way speaker but on one of the woofers the cone was hitting the magnet so i throw it and i kept the crossovers and the tweeters.

Hey do your speakers have paper drivers?? If so you can improve them you know and a speaker's enclosure, not just the driver, goes a long way towards improving the sound. For a cheap tweak you could get some Mod-Podge from Walmart in arts and crafts section, and put a couple of coats on the woofer. You can also put some ductseal putty on the basket to damp it.Maybe fill the speakers with poly fill too

actually it's not the receiver that's getting hot ... it's the dvd-player (on top) but i removed the dvd-player long time ago because my harman needs to breath :)
