Here's the deal Islam is not a bad religion or a evil one for that matter. It is actually very similar to Christians message. However the problem with Islam is the extremist cowards who tarnish the name of Islam. I no longer hate Islam but I am angered that more Muslims are siding with the radicals according to recent polls in areas with high Muslim populations. Until the extremist issue is solved there will be issues with the worlds views towards Islam, and sadly Muslims in general.

First of all, there is no such thing as extreme islam. You are getting confused. There are extreme individuals who act upon their own (wrong will) against non-muslims, not knowing that it is actually against their Religion to do so.

Second, Mohamed(PBUH) didn't write the Qur'an. It was revealed to him, and he recited it so a Scribe who simply wrote down what he heard, and recited it back to Mohamed. When he was sure it was accurate, he preserved it as it was.

Taking a verse out of its historical and textual context is meaningless my friend. If you wish, I can bring forth numerous verses and direct quotes from the hadith's - the Prophet's very own words, that incite peace and violence only in the form of self defense, against oppression and such political reasons. Xclips, the word 'Muslim' today doesn't have the same meaning as it did at the time of Mohammed. It used to mean 'submitters to GOD', however today this has become a secondary meaning. The word Muslim today is similar to the word Christian, Black, Asian or women, they all carry no religious meaning. You know many greedy, intollerant, racist, violent, deceitful, hypocritical people would say that they're Muslims or Christians if you ask them their religion. There's no problem if you hate them.

Personally, I don't care if the name of Islam is tarnished by those few hypocritical Muslims. As for those radicals, it's clear that the Qur'an commands its readers to use violence on those who are using violence on them (in other words in cases where they are religiously persecuted) and commands its readers to be peaceful to those who are peaceful to them. If they choose to twist GOD's word, then they are not that different in the sight of GOD from those normal non-radical people who think that they could get away with their greediness, dishonety and arrogance from GOD.
