to my current knowledge (my dad programs and works with these things), there are two types of CNC machines. lathe and mill. by the looks of this (correct me if im wrong), this is a mill. im interested in building something like this.

might need to upgrade the dermal to a more high end heavy duty high RPM motor of some kind. that poor thing sounds like its about to drill its last hole very soon

I had the same issue with tip moving about when I tried a Dremel- take the dremel apart and you'll find a soft rubber bushing on the rear bearing. Replace with aluminum or epoxy and it'll help 95% of that tip flex!
