if there are any more like this let me know

  • This Director is very promising. I can only imagine what the Akira live action remake will be like. And after seeing the Silent City I can only think to myself "there is serious hope here"

  • I wonder what 3d program they used?

  • when the city reveals itself at about 4:10 I was like "WOW"!!!

    Superb FX

  • awesome, Ruairi Robinson, a true one mand band!

  • was the matchmoving done using Boujou?!

  • i kinda noticed that the soldier at the beginning was cgi, but mainly due to how his head moved. Awesome rendering though. The rotoscoping was amazing though!!

  • Just imagine, Ruairi is going to directing the live-action Akira movie :D. Awesome.

  • hell yeah man....cant wait for it!!

  • Why can't studios, with four million times the money and time, make anything as interesting as this movie?

  • SO much went into this, its amazing.

This is a perfect example of good use of CGI in films in my opinion. Nuff respect.

    Thanks in advance

  • you guys are kings of CG!!! I wish i'd done music for this film :D

  • ....That part in the beginning was rendered in 3D?! Holy crud, no way you can notice that while watching. Amazing good work!

  • Un-freakin-real. Best of the Best in CGI, rendering, and composition.

  • i truely thank you for your hard work this was so amaizing, the animation, the compositing, the modeling the detail, the camera movements, the particals the genuis and innovation is just so amaizing. you are the entrepreneurs of modern filmmaking.

  • i am flattered friend but look it up on you tube or on his on site i only uploaded it

  • Mostly done on his laptop 2! I'm not joking

  • one word: AWESOME!

  • I love the full film and the making of is realy intresting, I can see affter looking at this video how i can make my own film some day using live action and CG. whot programe did you use for the 3D tracking?

  • wht is the "Hand Roto Matte" means?

  • Hand Roto Matte is a body beyond a 3D render...

  • a hand roto matt...

a matt is something produce to stop something being covered up by something else.

roto is short for rotoscope, which means drawn frame by frame.

and hand is, well...hand, so he hand drew the matt frame by frame, so that the guys head and shoulders wouldn't get chopped off by the other sky he used.

  • wtf..

  • damn the whole thing looked so real and its all 3d holy shit!!
