Oh how true it is...how sadly true it is!!! Most dealers can deal at least 200 hand an hour times 8 hours times 5 days a week times 52 weeks a year...that's 416,000 hands a year so when you ask your dealer for advice... TAKE IT!!!!

there is also a mistake in the the soft 16 situation - the dealer is showing a Jack and then says "I have 12 [...] dealer hits. now i have 17, that would have been your 5 if you had taken a card". Actually, the player would have got a 2, not a 5! But still, the player would have got soft 18, a 5 would go to the dealer so that's dealer's 15(J+5) and the next card was a K
anyway, it's quite comforting to know it's not only my casino that draws exactly THIS kind of players :)
This is absolutely amazing! Literally two days after I saw this video a player at my table had nineteen and lost to my twenty on their second hand and said "you always have twenty!" It was so hard for me to keep from laughing in his face!!! Then a day later I convinced a guy who split twenty to split again until he maxed out at four hands!! Whoever made this video is a genius!

I am a dealer and have been for 5 years now. This video made me laugh so hard while walking around in walmart at 3 a.m. when my shift was over!!!! On another note: I am a nice guy and a fun dealer and flip my customers shit all the time and they actually like it. You dont have to be a robot at the table although some casino's require you to be and i deal in a small town with one casino so its cool. The only thing that bugs me is players that dont speak english or ones that are overly drunk.

I guess noone noticed that if he hadn't split then the dealer's line about "I wouldve busted" is false...the player got a 10 and a 2 for the cards when he split if those went to the dealer and the dealer flipped a total of 6 then that makes 18 (6+12)... I'm also assuming he's at 3rd base or by himself..Still a funny video....I don't deal but my friends that do showed me this bc I play a lot and that guy has cost me a lot of money...lol
@TxGambler77 Actually, asshole, I dealt dice for 5 years, we shared all tokes (tips) and I was a part of the crew that counted the tokes at the end of each night, and there was NEVER a night in which our toke count was zero which meant no matter what, SOMEONE was tipping me. I couldn't control the dice, but I COULD control the way I treated our guest, but since I couldn't control the attitude of some of my asshole coworkers who talked to players like they weren't shit, I left the business.

35 years in the business and want to thank you for the laughs (and tears from laughing so hard). I've gotten to the point as a supervisor that when I hear "unbelievable.....you're killing me" I point out that if dumbass hadn't hit his 15 against the dealers four the dealer would've busted. That usually gets rid of 'em.

I've dealt in Deadwood SD for 20 years and the 10 card hand caught my attention because I've never seen it. I know 13 is possible (if you hit the soft 17), but I've never seen more than 9 and that was 1 month after I started. LOL Love the video. Players say all the same stuff everywhere and they all act like they're saying it for the 1st time.
btw some fo the worst players and tippers are other dealers from other casinos... Valley View and Harrah's dealers TY so much for taking care of us for you guys are the best tippers and most awesome dealers .. as for you 2 power houses down the other end, all I can say to you is your shady and I will NEVER tip any of you ever again...
@JehovahSaveUs : Wait....so because you have a few dealers that do not tip at your casino, you have to punish the entire crew of the casino they came from? I can understand not going there, but if you happen to pass by and find a remarkably friendly dealer, you would refuse them? This mentality is what keeps the ball bouncing, and because YOU won't tip, they turn and do the same. I, however, have tipped to a casino even though I've seen dealers leave 10x buy-in with $0 tip.

People are so bad at using logic when they gamble. But as a dealer you have to listen to their dumb failed lines of logic for 8hrs. It is brutal if you are analytical. On the other hand, the way some of these dealers act when you come to their table, it's hard to believe they work for tips. I have walked up to tables before and had the dealer actually look offended that I interrupted them standing there doing nothing, like how dare you come to my table while I'm trying to watch all the hot chicks walk by.
@ccbs82 ... in some of thier defense its hard to be happy after you pay some asshole out $6000 after they buy in for $160 and they tip you $5. that same night right after he left a girl from another casino sits down buys in for $400 makes $1200 and tips me $6. After that it was hard to keep a smile for the next person. Though I try to always be nice, some nights all you want to do is tell the players to fuck off. Especially when they play one hand and start complaining. dont take it too personal
@JehovahSaveUs I hear you, and I know what it's like to work for tips, which is why I can't understand why some dealers have such terrible attitudes. My thing is, if you're going to remind the player that you have no control over the cards when they are bad, then the same goes for when they are on a winning streak. In both cases, all you're doing is handing them the cards. If you went to a restaurant and your waitress was rude to you, would you still tip just because the food tasted good?
@ccbs82 Also, whenever you're working with the public, it's not your job to be happy, you're being paid to provide a service. Dealers can't control the dice, cards, roulette ball, but they can control how they treat the customer. I don't mind losing, I already know the odds are in the house's favor, but I have no patience for rude dealers who can't even greet me or wish me good luck but will look absolutely appalled when I win and don't tip.
@ccbs82 : Well I want to apologize for any dealers who have been rude to you, but you have the choice to move to different tables....we don't have a choice on who sits out ours. A lot of dealers tend to lash out from all the abuse they've been handed over the weeks/months/years, and that shouldn't be a reason, but it's human nature. Personally, I say 'hello' and wish 'good luck' on not only your buy in time, but every shoe for everyone...not every dealer is sour, find the right table.
@sabriath Thank you, but I wasn't just speaking from a player's point of view but also as a former dice dealer. There were people on my crew that made my stomach turn listening to them complain all day about the job. No, they didn't have the option to move tables if a customer was being an asshole, but they DID have the option to go work at Burger King if their $19 an hour dealer job (most of which came from the players) had them so "burnt out" that they can't even wish our guests good luck.
@ccbs82 : My apologies...I thought you were speaking as a player against a rude dealer (at which point you should complain to management, and they will eventually be working for BK if they continue to shit on their customers). As a dealer myself, I also hate other dealers bringing their dirty laundry in front of the customers (especially in a shared-tip environment), that's what the chain of command and HR is for.

I never talk about tips or my personal life, just other stupid things. Do I like my job, hell no, do I complain about it, yep. Do I complain about it on a table, no!

Most of the people who left and said they were sooooo sick of the job ended up coming right back a few years later because they realized that with only a high school diploma, there weren't many places they could go and start off making 50 grand a year, health benefits, 401K, company provided life insurance, and a break for every hour they worked, AND free meals during their breaks.

What is often missed is the quality of the service, because players in general tend to be selfish and focus solely on their winning, regardless of friendliness or quality of service. I am a dealer and have been for 5 years now. This video made me laugh so hard while walking around in walmart at 3 a.m. when my shift was over!!!! On another note: I am a nice guy and a fun dealer and flip my customers shit all the time and they actually like it. You dont have to be a robot at the table although some casino's require you to be and i deal in a small town with one casino so its cool. The only thing that bugs me is players that dont speak english or ones that are overly drunk.

I guess noone noticed that if he hadn't split then the dealer's line about "I wouldve busted" is false...the player got a 10 and a 2 for the cards when he split if those went to the dealer and the dealer flipped a total of 6 then that makes 18 (6+12)... I'm also assuming he's at 3rd base or by himself..Still a funny video....I don't deal but my friends that do showed me this bc I play a lot and that guy has cost me a lot of money...lol

@TxGambler77 Actually, asshole, I dealt dice for 5 years, we shared all tokes (tips) and I was a part of the crew that counted the tokes at the end of each night, and there was NEVER a night in which our toke count was zero which meant no matter what, SOMEONE was tipping me. I couldn't control the dice, but I COULD control the way I treated our guest, but since I couldn't control the attitude of some of my asshole coworkers who talked to players like they weren't shit, I left the business.

35 years in the business and want to thank you for the laughs (and tears from laughing so hard). I've gotten to the point as a supervisor that when I hear "unbelievable.....you're killing me" I point out that if dumbass hadn't hit his 15 against the dealers four the dealer would've busted. That usually gets rid of 'em.

I've dealt in Deadwood SD for 20 years and the 10 card hand caught my attention because I've never seen it. I know 13 is possible (if you hit the soft 17), but I've never seen more than 9 and that was 1 month after I started. LOL Love the video. @JehovahSaveUs : Wait....so because you have a few dealers that do not tip at your casino, you have to punish the entire crew of the casino they came from? I can understand not going there, but if you happen to pass by and find a remarkably friendly dealer, you would refuse them? This mentality is what keeps the ball bouncing, and because YOU won't tip, they turn and do the same. I, however, have tipped to a casino even though I've seen dealers leave 10x buy-in with $0 tip.

@sabriath .. I know because i have dumped way more than $10,000 at my first casino to players who buy-in for almost nothing and walk away leaving me nothing. Now, if I find a dealer who is dumping too me or not and is just an awesome person over-all I will tip, even if their counterparts do not. I am a very generous tipper because i am in the business and know this is how we live. But I will be damned if I tip to one of those idiots who burnt us. That's KARMA!!

People are so bad at using logic when they gamble. But as a dealer you have to listen to their dumb failed lines of logic for 8hrs. It is brutal if you are analytical. The truth is right in front of their eyes. They are gambling and the house is going to win. The worse they play the quicker it will happen. LMAO! This is some funny shit. Some people simply do not need to gamble, I don't think they realize what the term "gamble" means. On the other hand, the way some of these dealers act when you come to their table, it's hard to believe they work for tips. I have walked up to tables before and had the dealer actually look offended that I interrupted them standing there doing nothing, like how dare you come to my table while I'm trying to watch all the hot chicks walk by.

@ccbs82 ... in some of thier defense its hard to be happy after you pay some asshole out $6000 after they buy in for $160 and they tip you $5. that same night right after he left a girl from another casino sits down buys in for $400 makes $1200 and tips me $6. After that it was hard to keep a smile for the next person. Though I try to always be nice, some nights all you want to do is tell the players to fuck off. Especially when they play one hand and start complaining. dont take it too personal

@JehovahSaveUs I hear you, and I know what it's like to work for tips, which is why I can't understand why some dealers have such terrible attitudes. My thing is, if you're going to remind the player that you have no control over the cards when they are bad, then the same goes for when they are on a winning streak. In both cases, all you're doing is handing them the cards. If you went to a restaurant and your waitress was rude to you, would you still tip just because the food tasted good?

@ccbs82 Also, whenever you're working with the public, it's not your job to be happy, you're being paid to provide a service. Dealers can't control the dice, cards, roulette ball, but they can control how they treat the customer. I don't mind losing, I already know the odds are in the house's favor, but I have no patience for rude dealers who can't even greet me or wish me good luck but will look absolutely appalled when I win and don't tip.

@ccbs82 : Well I want to apologize for any dealers who have been rude to you, but you have the choice to move to different tables....we don't have a choice on who sits out ours. A lot of dealers tend to lash out from all the abuse they've been handed over the weeks/months/years, and that shouldn't be a reason, but it's human nature. Personally, I say 'hello' and wish 'good luck' on not only your buy in time, but every shoe for everyone...not every dealer is sour, find the right table.

@sabriath Thank you, but I wasn't just speaking from a player's point of view but also as a former dice dealer. There were people on my crew that made my stomach turn listening to them complain all day about the job. No, they didn't have the option to move tables if a customer was being an asshole, but they DID have the option to go work at Burger King if their $19 an hour dealer job (most of which came from the players) had them so "burnt out" that they can't even wish our guests good luck.

As a dealer myself, I also hate other dealers bringing their dirty laundry in front of the customers (especially in a shared-tip environment), that's what the chain of command and HR is for.

I hate pooling and love going for my own. I would complain too if I only made 19 an hour. I talk so much shit to customers but it is all in good fun. I never talk about tips or my personal life, just other stupid things. Do I like my job, hell no, do I complain about it, yep. Do I complain about it on a table, no!

Most of the people who left and said they were sooooo sick of the job ended up coming right back a few years later because they realized that with only a high school diploma, there weren't many places they could go and start off making 50 grand a year, health benefits, 401K, company provided life insurance, and a break for every hour they worked, AND free meals during their breaks.

What is often missed is the quality of the service, because players in general tend to be selfish and focus solely on their winning, regardless of friendliness or quality of service. If I had a single dollar for every 'thanks, you did a great job' I get instead of a tip, I'd be able to buy a cruise ship

you know your 10 card 21 doesnt make sense you cant have a soft 17 past 5 cards, what it is in the script I have a 2 up flip now 5, 7,9,12,14,soft 17, back to 13 15 16 21 its not possible
