@SGEShadow Its a demo so the monsters are marked already because of the 20 min. limit. And in past MH games there are quests where you can hunt multiple monsters at the same time. In MH3 monsters will attack other monsters for different reason including for food.

I have Freedom Unite and there where two on the map at the same time but didn't figure demo would let you hunt two at same time. Thought maybe there was just randomly extram monster on map. And really thats cool I've never seen that on Freedom Unite, but why didn't that Hypnotrice looking deal atack the Rathian back? It just kept going for the hunter.

I still dont understand why capcom can't make a MH game on PS3. They say its because of the online developer, but isnt MH earning capcom millions of dollars with each game?? And they don't have enough money to get a new online service provider...

Simply put, Sony was being a bitch to Capcom and basically Capcom said "You know what? We can put this on the wii, and we are developing another MH for the Xbox 360" It's essentially what went down.

It was a half ass joke... Capcom said production costs would be too high for the PS3 but seeing the profit Monster Hunter titles make, its not true. It's just that it's a good business plan to make the game for the Wii. Less costs, more people own a Wii in Japan, and its a pretty solid selling title.

about the monsters having lower hp, yes they do in MHFU unless you go into gathering hall (online OR offline). Even if you're offline, it's as if you're setting up a quest built for 2-4 people, so the wyverns are stronger @_@

Doesn't make sense game context-wise. And just discourages epic soloing of boss mobs.

I know they want to promote multiplayer but that was a pretty good battle and it being stopped by the time limit is just lame.

the time limit is like ....1 hour dude..... you kill them before that anyways and it gives greater challenge to beat within a time frame. I could always whack the ho and then gather resource and make more potions and blah blah blah if i had more time but that would be easy :l

Yeah, you're right. Got into MH2U recently and.. found Rathian fairly easy to capture.

So far Shen Gaoren came close to the time limit (5 minutes left) but I never failed to kill a Monster before the time limit yet.

Usually around the 15min to 20 min mark depending on how fast I catch onto the behavior patterns.

An hour limit is pretty generous.

PSP version of Monster hunter's monsters had considerably LOWER hp compared to more online based game like Monster hunter frontier and MH Tri (to encourage players to play online, but i am not saying soloing mobs like rathion isn't impossible). and yes I know MH2U also has online version, but capcom didn't want people to spend so much time on catching monster on portable gaming console.

I get what you are saying though Rathian is a cupcake compared to some of the monsters in high lvl.

Yep, she's not really too different. Some of her new attacks caught me off guard. Like as you noticed when I flash bombed her and I wasn't really able to put down a Lg Barrel Bomb, I kept tripping, I was like "WAH" but anyways, the next time I fight her, I'm getting a kill. You can bet on it.
