  • I like both I rather rent the CDJS or just have one and just get used technic 1200's cause soon or later u would get all that software stuff later to add to ur collection. Another thing is this suppose the laser in a cd turntable breaks or stops working u have to pay the same price u paid for the cdj to get it fixed and with needles u can just pay 40 bucks for and keep moving. If you're a dj u suppose to move the crowd and entertain nobody wants to pay alot for a boring dj. But good video!

  • al parecer todo esta el el firmware!

  • good video but NOTHING and i mean NOTHING beats analog

  • Hell no id stick old school all the way fuck digital

  • The DZ-1200 sounds digital if you listen to it carefully

  • people don't use analog turntables, but they use turntable emulations. it doesn't make sense.

  • @CitizenofTatooine The transfer ease of digital media versus having to go broke pressing dub plates every time you record a track of your own or a remix. The pioneers as far as not sounding like digitalized crap kick the shit out of the DZ1200s unfortunately. I like everyone else wanted to believe that when Technics made a cd player it was going to take over the market and become industry standard. Instead it has just been an embarrassment for Technics and no pro wants to touch it in a club.

  • there is a delay on the digital deck...

  • toco mejojur que tu com 1200

  • I dont think they sound same !

  • i find the vinyl is crisper but cdjs are more convenient i guess go with what sounds better to your ears. Im not a dj im an audiophile so i know nothing about scratching records on purpose. Anyway your awesome at djing keep up the good work

  • I have my Technics Digital Turntables seven Years... I will never miss it :-)

    Technics is the best :-)

  • @phdpro111 Do you think these are good beat mixing decks

  • TECHNICS ALL THE WAY GOOD QUALITY RELIABLE JAPANESE PRODUCTS.

  • I'm looking for some help into what cdj to buy. I want something that is good for scratching and beat jugging. I know everyone is going to say get vinyl but i just sold my technics 1200s before moving to thailand and were i live there is nooooo vinyl shops. Any help would be much apprecated.

  • Its like why????? would you even get a pioneer cdj? lol people are so turned on by the wierdest things. these are truely the closest to vinyl, and people still go with pioneer lol. PS I saw a pair of these sldz on CL for about 350!

  • @moderndayrambo TECHNICS FOR LIFE.

  • wats the middle one u use it cool aand i wana buy it

  • Would you recommend a SL-DZ1200 for someone who is just starting out in the turntablism art?

  • @R4nd0m0s1ty Yes I would, there are no better digital turntables to emulate the original wheels of steel.

  • @R4nd0m0s1ty im wonderin the same thing.

  • all i wont is a digital turntable with a big scratch surface like an analog turntable!

these are the best thing i can find but......... theyre hard to get...... if anyone has any other alternatives could they please tell me!

  • @destremie These limited edition turntables are worth the searching, if you do a google 123 DJ or one of those online sites still has some new, also ebay is a great place to find them, good luck on your search!

  • not sure but i think its dj qberts 100 mph backsliding turkey kuts

  • @alexmelicson Exactly right, backsliding turkey cuts, awesome record!

  • Good idea comparing both vinyl and digital version in a vid like this !!!

  • @poopheadIII Glad you think so thanks very much for commenting!

  • if checked out all your videos mate, and your fucking brilliant, dont stop man, and get some regular videos on the go !

  • 0:11 - 0:15 dj premier scartched that in craig g's ready set begin.does anyone know where the vocals are from?

  • where i can buy it????

  • The newer 1200's have a new firmware update that clears up all that distortion, he might have the newer one, but the older ones are very very distorted.

  • thanks

  • Your welcome man.

  • thanks for clearing that up, i was sceptical about buying them beforee.

  • @turtleboy361 Your welcome dude.

  • @Draxx1134 I am curious to know what is different because Iv'e seen these and they do not sound anything remotely close to real. More like a broken Nintendo.

  • you should give me yours haha... i wish i had more money :(

  • Nawh dat's not the djx700....cuz I got that mixer when I first bought my gold limited edition, it still works but it ova heats too much...aka Blaze

  • it's a technics mixer

  • cd dude

  • u can also used a memory SD card too pimpin....

  • Well I had the pioneer 800 mk2's (sold them because I needed money) Think Im goin to buy these now that the price dropped and those new vinyl discs look awesome on it. Love the extra features plus the spinning platter =)

  • don't see any difference between any oth

  • he showing that the digital is as good as the vinal because people think vinal is better he is just showing that they are the same. and it probable easier to get music for the digital than the vinal now of days

  • the spelling is-"vinyl"

  • What breaks record is he skratchin on?

  • backsliding turkey cuts / dirt style rec.

  • RulaMc, I didn't mean to give you a thumbs down on your comment I was trying to give you a thumb up. LOL. Anyhow, I couldn't agree with you more. I like the spinning platter feel of the sldz1200's. Pioneer's feels to generic IMO...

  • I recently bought a pair of SL-DZ1200's and got rid of my pioneers on ebay. wish I never listened to other people I should have bought these technics decks 2 years ago. I can finally scratch again. Nuff said.

  • @thespindocta so they r much better than pioneers cdj1000 ? - i mean is it not more difficult just like the way it is with vinyl ? bcause them pioneers are way to easy to mix with

or does it also have an BPM counter ? indeed yes, i do the same !

    greetings dude

  • @thespindocta they are good then ? im mixing on a pair of 1210's and find myself in need on a cd player. dont really want to pay extra for the pioneer sticker on the deck haha

  • @metalsinani try denon dns3700 they are the best on the market now... i love them 101%

  • thanks for the video..i tested SL-DZ1200 last year, it felt great..i have a pair of cdj-400 and a djm-400, its good to mix but its hard if u wanna learn to scratch from scratch..hehe..u make me wanna buy the SL-DZ1200 now..haha..whats the name of your mixer?

  • ive got cdjs mk2 AND SEEING THIS VIDEO AS MADE ME THINK DID I DO THE RIGHT THING , BUYING THE 800MK2 , I MIGHT JUST SWAP THEM FOR SOME TECHINCS CDJS

  • lol yeah people think they know it all but you proved alot of them wrong on turn table technics and sound quality

  • i like 1:00

  • How do you like the Technics SH-MZ1200 4 channel mixer? Faders, fx sends, X fader build etc. Thanks so much for the video :>)

  • eh.. they're both great. <3 the sl 1200 mk2's

  • Hi, how does it work the sh-mz 1200 mixer? Has a similar quality to the djm 600(excluding the effects)?

  • I bought my Digital Technic Decks about a year ago, and even to this Day, have no Regrets what so ever, I love them.

  • thank god some good press on these. I don't really know why so many people trash talk this deck.

  • Because whoever talk trash about them wish that they had made the right choice by getting the Technics SLDZs. When u can't the the grapes....u convince urself that they are sour!!!

  • wow you actually made me buy one...

  • I've been buying hip-hop vinyl since 82' and have been reluctant to try these new digital decks out. (I'll admit I've even hated on them at times).I see fom the responses, this is the one to get. Also, what's yor opinion of the Serratto..I've been leaning towards that system.

  • The only reason anyone would say SLDZ's weren't the best is because they dont want their CDJ's to de-value. Great video man!

  • excellent video, too many people on youtube trying to belittle cd mixing compared to vinyl.

thanks for taking the time to do this!

  • Nice video , I was thinking about buying a cdj some day , well , I guess this one's on the wanted list now

  • hey...question i've heard that the new digital technics table does not has the same fell as the other technic vinyl 1200's is that true?

  • Thanks for your question BluePhoenixEnt, The SL-DZ1200 feels exactly like an original 1200. You shouldn't listen to people, you should try it yourself! Thanks again!

  • Word...

I have the exact same setup as you, with the two sldz1200's and the shmz1200 mixer, and I couldn't be happier, and I'm a dj that had dj'd with vinyl since '88.

  • I love my sl-dz1200. I feel like there's nothing out there in comparison. You have put in a lot of time and effort and it sure has paid off. keep doing your thing, big pimpin'!

  • Hi this video is Awesome ! Where can I download this sounds on scratching ? Thanks

  • Thanks for your question Shormik this record is called "Backsliding Turkey Kutz" by Dirt Stylz.

  • just proving the haters should shut up.l. its not what u have its how u use it.. hats off to u

  • Thanks vandal594 I appreciate your "real" comment Hats of to you for not being shy to speak your mind B, Respect to you and Thanks again!

  • technics sl dz 1200. lo mejorcito de ahora

  • Bien! Gracias!

  • Ok Do u Think Techinics SL-DZ1200 Scratch Sound better then the pionners 1000 ????

  • Without a doubt Technics SL-DZ is # 1, I own pioneers as well as the numark cdx's, but nothing feels and SOUNDS more like an original 1200 than the SL-DZ1200! As you can see ;)

  • One More ? Me I Love The Moving Decks but are the non moving plater"s better ??

  • I have the cdj800mk2 from pio, and the plater isn't moving, I can't learn to scratch on them, the spinning vinyl feel is missing..

  • can you please tell me what you used for scratching and also is it really worth it..I want to go CD digital and trying to figure out what to get...but I also dont have that great of a budget

  • were you scratching an MP3 with the CDJ or a CD with MP3 on it? or just a standard CD?

  • Thanks for your question, Just a standard MP3 on a CD.

  • errr i think evryone shold LEARN ON VINYL but other than that using the Technics SL-DZ1200 is cool too.

  • Thanks for your comment trex101, I agree that learning on real vinyl is ideal, but if you want to spin digital, the Technics SL-DZ1200 is the Best CDJ out there. And with these new Real Vinyl Discs by Sensei Haus they are exactly the same! Thanks again!

  • thanks for doing this it is really well done

but what do you settings look like? do you have vynl sim and dynamics on?

  • Keep the vinyl alive!!

    Respect!!

  • Thanks Djhose! I appreciate you taking the time to make a comment! Thanks again!

  • Good to see someone showing what these sldz`s are all about, to much bad press out there for a deck that is very good, keep up the good work

  • Thanks very much kieranellison, The SL-DZ1200 is the best Digital Turntable out there!
