  • @TSuperChallenge

I was about 150 pounds and i went on the low carb diet and i lost about 40 pounds and i havent gained them back. i have muscles..

  • isnt low carb diets for chicks i mean they dont realy want muscles

  • yes I agree to a certain extent with your analysis,a balanced diet of good food is always the best way forward.I see no reason for people to do low carb which normally means for most folk, next to no carbs as there are plenty of good food choices from good carbs that wont make you fat.Obviously insulin matters though,so eating a good clean diet(no crap and low carb choices like veggies and low carb fruits with something SMALL and healthy every 3 hours will do the trick.

  • 80-10-10

  • It's called low-carb not no-carb

  • Fuck low carb diets

  • R u on high carbs?... U'R kinda hyper energetic on this vid. XD

  • Fuck low carb diets and everyother fad diet out there, calorie counting and exercise is where it's all at, there are NO shortcuts and NO free rides at all when it comes to losing weight and getting in shape.

  • Was my question stupid? :s

  • LOL. Love your vids. For this one though:

    1. Clearly off your meds here... or on something GOOD :) Nothing wrong with that.

    2. Are you look at my crotch?? Oh.. no, youre checking out yourself.

    3. Still inspirational !!!

  • Hey CK,

I have a question for you, nutrition wise:

Let's say I want to burn fat. To do so, I must create a calorie deficit AND exercice more. I also need to keep enough proteins in my diet to make sure I don't destroy to much muscles, right?

What happens if on any given day, I decide to eat a chocolate mousse at lunch while maintaining the calorie deficit and enough proteins, with 6 meals in the day, is it still a bad thing to do?

  • @azazaz333 I would be interested to get your input on this one CK. If within a control diet, would these cheat meals be okay every once in a while, or must simple sugars simply be avoided at all times?

  • @GerardCousinSuresnes *taking into account that one would already be having a cheat meal on sunday*

  • @azazaz333 Since Chris has not answered this let me help you. The answer is NO, nothing bad will happen to you if you eat a chocolate mousse at lunch. You will not gain 50 pounds, your abs will stay the same. Calorie deficit relies on the first law of thermodynamics. If you eat less calories than your body needs you will loose weight. period. If you eat the mousse after a workout, even better, then sugars and fat will help your recovery. Throw a protein shake it and you are golden.

  • @emouch1 oh, just don't eat a mousse with every lunch... if you workout hard you need quality food.

  • Man, your nuts! LOL, but, I do like this video - very informative. So, thanks.

  • Everyone knows you need 'balance" but the question is WHAT is the balance?....it sure as hell isn't 70% carbs...which is what a lot of people are getting...especially at breakfast...cereal, toast, orange juice....that's ZERO protein and zero fat. People don't get fat eating Mickey D's because of the 3 oz of low quality beef,,,,it's the bun, sauces and huge order of fries.

  • Okay.... i've been doing a low carb diet it works fine. We still eat carbs, you get five servings of 15g of carbs a day equaling 75 total grams of carbohydrates a day. In my eyes thats not bad at all bro.

  • XD funny "Hua hua hua hua huaa huaaa!!!"

  • I like your videos but I must say your rather opinionated and not always correct with your claims. I'm cutting right now with a keto diet and maintaining my strength and getting much more vascular and already decreasing my waist size in only the first 3 weeks. I have to agree, the deit is probably not the best for everyone and most people are probably better off just dropping their calories and adding cardio to lose the weight. But there is reason why most bodybuilders use low carb diets.

  • @samtheman11111 Bodybuilders use Ketogenic diets to look good on a stage for 1 day. Their ketogenic diets are not intended to be maintained as part of a fit and healthy lifestyle. Also, if you've ever known a serious bodybuilder in the midst of a contest diet for an important show, you would know that they are miserable. They are prone to mood swings and very irritable.

  • @TSuperChallenge The reason they are miserable is because of their sub 5% bf not from the lack of carbs. I'm not disagreeing with you in the aspect that the problem with most people is their tendancy to use a diet such as the ketogenic diet for a temporary fix then end up going back to their old eating habits and gain the weight back quickly. A healthy "Lifesyle" is the key to sucess in being fit no doubt. However from my personal experiences if I was to diet with a 500 calorie defict with..

  • @TSuperChallenge ... carbs I tend to lose my fat storage at a slower pace then say if I do the the same however remaining on a ketogenic diet. Then again, I am a bodybuilder and perform no where near the amount of high intensity cardio you incorporate into your traing which having carbs help aid for energy levels.

  • @samtheman11111 It's not the body fat percentage. MANY athletes maintain 5% body fat for extended periods of time and feel GREAT. It's the restricted calorie/ low-carb diet that puts bodybuilders in a terrible mood.

  • @TSuperChallenge I think you should get your bf% tested and report back about what you just said. A friend of mine cut down for a show until the point were you could see the vains on his abs and got his bf% tested in the "Bod Pod" which is the most accurate method of testing today and came in around 4.5 something. The kinesiologist conducting the test told him to put fat on ASAP becasue if he dipped under 4% for an extended period of time it could be detrimental to his organs.

  • @samtheman11111 I worked with a D1 football team that did bod pod analysis. Several players had 4-5% body fat according to the bod pod and they play American Tackle Football at those percentages year round (the season and spring ball).

  • @TSuperChallenge I will have to go with Chris on this. I am a basketball coach. I have my players below 8% all year long. Low carb diets are BS... I agree, if you are a bodybuilder and just want to look shreded for one day without doing intense cardio, then maybe low-carb is ok. But for an athlete, and anyone who has a job and wants to work properly and train, at least 45% of your calories should be carbs.

  • @emouch1 Last year I had a player who had to loose 10 pounds and went low-carb. He went from being our post up banger to a pussy cat... when I asked him what is wrong with him and he told me, I handed him 2 bananas and told him to go and eat a bowl of pasta. He lost the weight with proper nutrition, intense workouts. Chris's plan is the closest I have seen online to a proper balanced nutrition. No gimmicks. I am on my 6th day, and feeling great, thank you Chris!

  • @emouch1 Yup screw low carb diets, all you have to do is watch your calories because that's where it's all at, carbs don't make you fat, fat does not make you fat, sugar does not make you fat, consuming more calories than what you burn is what makes you fat.

  • @MrDodger3222 bro, im not trying to dis you but, you have it all wrong, thats one of the things that make you fat, but eating to snickers thats 800 calories and eating a healthy meal thats 800 calories are two different things bro

  • omg dude please tell me how to get your chest, i have been working out for a month, my chest havent really changed, still have fats around it. im 5-11 150 pd.

  • @xkyo23 Start the TSC Heart of a Champion Program and start crushing it. You'll get better at everything, your body will transform and you will feel better than ever. Make it happen. The link is in the fist line of the video info.

    CK.

  • we can stay up all nigth and read books...and become educated...Love it

  • Like honestly, if you want the females in this audience to look at your face, you might want to put a shirt on...just saying ;)

  • I respect what you're trying to say...been a while since I smoked my elbow on the floor tho lol

  • Yeah, Michael Bay ruined Transformers =\

  • @TSuperChallenge Hey Chris I really appreciated you posting this video. It was nice hearing from someone for once that carbs are good for you. But just one question, how many carbs do you consume? Do you keep track or just make sure you eat a well balanced diet (fruit, dairy, whole grains etc.) and not cut out any specific food group?

  • You look like a slimmed down seth rogen :) ur very hot.

Great vids, mod carb timed around your training is the way to go imo.

  • Ergh

  • My Daily foods are breakfast: Wheaties fuel cereal. Lunch: Subway sandwich Dinner: veggie salad with some meat do you think this is a good food plan? or should i eat more plz i reply back

  • bro your awesome! keep it up, God bless

  • ur awesome i love you

  • I keep trying to get a response....what BF are you at?

  • So nobody here believes in ketosis?

    Wikipedia it...

"While it is believed by some that exercise requires carbohydrate intake in order to replace depleted glycogen stores, studies have shown that, after a period of 2–4 weeks adaptation, physical endurance is unaffected by ketosis, as long as the diet contains high amounts of fat"

Using dietary fat for energy isn't any different to using bodyfat for energy (via a caloric deficit)

  • Hey CK, watched your transformation video. Then i went to your channel and watched this video. I am going to give this one a go and see where it will take me. Thanks and have a good day!

    //Johnny from Sweden

  • This was great ;) The ninja part doped!!! :D:D:D

  • Crushing Jeopardy right now. I like to break a mental sweat too.

  • @fkncody Yesterday's final jeopardy answer, FTW... What is Field Hockey? I really enjoy your comments. CK.

  • This video is so full of win that I can't pinpoint one phrase that would do it justice. Keep on keepin on Chris!

  • Chris I do not see eye-to-eye on this one. I'm Paleo all the way.. I use grains, dairy an d legumes but now my carbs come from some fruit and lower glycemic veggies like sweet potatoes and yams. Non-theless you have your view and I respect that. I wold recommend you read a little into the whole mindset behind Paleolithic nutrition. Look up Gary Taubes on youtube and get back to me (or totally ignore me) buahaha

  • @Raybee Rams, we might not see eye-to-eye, but there's nothing in this specific vlog that is contrary to being "paleo." All I'm saying here is that you need carbs to achieve a healthy macronutrient balance. If you get your carbs from sweet potatoes, more power to you. In fact, sweet potatoes are my favorite source of carbs. Keep crushing it. CK.

  • Hey I have heard myths about protein chris. Is protein really for building muscle or is it more for burning fat and making you body look tighter? and also is whey protein okay to use its not really supplementation but a source of protein that is natural in your body. I am just having trouble meeting my protein goal so ye... Sweet videos and topics your sort the stuff out well and you know what your saying. Also do you go to university and if so what are you studying?

  • @guimonsterjustin your body needs the amino acids in protein to build and repair your muscle tissue. If you need more protein you can have eggs, milk, whole grains, meat, beans, rice, almost anything. Read the labels and make it happen. CK.

  • @TSuperChallenge I love carbs!!! :-)

Does rice really amount to any kind of protein? I am guessing you mean brown rice. I have multiple food intolerances and I also have trouble meeting my protein goals. I must supplement with protein powder. But it is all good...because I watch a lot of jeopardy :-) ......after I have worked out of course!

  • @guimonsterjustin Protein's main job as a macronutrient is to rebuild muscle tissue. When you work out, your goal is to stress the muscle and cause micro-trauma that will force your muscles to rebuild and adapt to the stress (grow stronger). Protein without working out is to maintain muscle, so your body doesn't catabolize the protein. Body builders look "tighter" by doing low-carb, low sodium and reduced water to dehydrate themselves. Definitely NOT long term. TSC:HOC is an amazing program.

  • The Atkins diet is the one that has made me the most upset because of all the deception and pseudoscience around it. And it is disgusting: eat as much fat as you want, some magic bullshit will prevent you from gaining weight as long as you don't even eat a tomato's worth of carbohydrates.

I know some people who were successful with this diet but only because they thought that bacon, etc sounded disgusting and so they stuck with eating just lean meat and vegetables. Can't go wrong with that.

  • @drandersw Yeah, I didn't even get to talking about the part where people die from a bacon-wrapped heart attack! Great point. CK.

  • how do you feel about Jack3d, Chris?

  • @IGnCI That is a product that I would never purchase and never put in my body. CK.

  • WOW Chris Krugger what is your problem? Most IFBB bodybuilders dont even compete at 300lbs. And for being big it is some peoples' perception of feeling, good who is there to say there is only image of being good/healthy.

  • @hackingtime88 This is about being the best/healthiest natural ATHLETE you can be. I'm almost positive everyone would rather have the perfect balance of speed and functional strength, that allows you to perform physically better in life, rather than pursuing the gaol of getting as large as you possibly can, and having no functional athletic speed and strength.

  • @pterodactylZ being an athlete can mean so many different things. bodybuilding is a sport and if that is not good enough for you how about powerlifting. i dont get why crhris is hating on bodybuilders

  • @pterodactylZ TRUE. I always say that.... "Training is about being your individual and unique best. It's NOT about trying to be the strongest guy in the gym or the biggest guy at the club."

  • i just ate 1/2 bag of family sized Ms Vickie chips. are chips primary composed of carbs?

  • Hey chris i have one question, Do you do a form of supercardio once a day everyday? or more, if so could you specify how many times a day and how many days.

    Thanks.

  • @supaahflyy No, not everyday. It depends on how I feel and what's available. Plus if I can get myself into a game of full-court hoops or pick-up ice hockey then I'm def gonna choose one of those options. However crushing a super cardio at least once a week will keep you in great condition, when you team it with your other Heart of a Champion training and bonus. Best, CK.

  • i hear you on the low carb diets, but i have been doing ketogenic diets everytime I want to lean out and they work wonders, granted it's only for two or three months at a time, but they still do work, so maybe you should give these a little credit

    good video nonetheless

  • CK, as always, it's good to hear sense being preached. One thing that I make sure to try to tell my clients is that low-carb diets will cause them to lose water weight (from the glycogen expenditure) and also any inches they lose will simply be the "deflating" as you mentioned. And I TRY to hammer in the fact that there is a reason they have the cravings for carbohydrates (and steer them to nutritional ones) as well as a reason why those people who go on Adkins gain what they lose and then some!

  • @kirkland19 Exactly. Thanks for watching. Best, CK.

  • youre always in 'peak' condition yes?

how come you dont 'bulk' man?

can you show in your next vid

just a 30 sec rant on your view?.. thankyou

  • @markgoffeney He said in one of his older videos that he doesnt believe in 'off season' and 'bulking and cutting' He said that bodybuilders only use the term to eat junk.

  • @markgoffeney The bulking/cutting paradigm is a scam to get people to buy fat burning pills for "cutting" and mass-gaining protein shakes for "bulking." The whole concept is false. Do you think Jerry Rice, Micheal Jordan or Steve Young ever did a bulking phase? Of course not. Athletes train to be fit, fast and strong, being big and cut is just a pleasant side effect. This would probably be a good video topic that I could expand on further. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it. Best CK.

  • Hey Chris, ive been on your program for 10 weeks now. And recently ive added cardio (Insanity) to everyday. does this seem ok?

  • @theworlddiesin6 i would like to know this to...

    btw nice one chris ;)

  • @theworlddiesin6 Are you insane? why are you doing a program called insanity? If you really want to crank up the cardio and get it done quick, check out my TSC Super Cardio vids. You'll have to leave your living room but the results with be worth it. Best, CK.

  • I do have a question for ya man. I have heard from more then a few Trainers and a few other "Fit People" that eating meat will make losing weight and getting ripped harder and slow the fat loss. I would really love to know what you think of that.

  • @Shadowhunter712 Straight up, that's silly. You're body needs a proper macronutrient balance to fuel your transformation. It's all explained the TSC Heart of a Champion Program. CK.

  • wunderbar ...not wunderbar xD decay death disease xD

love your videos! Loved the Challenge and still use it to stay naturally fit, fast and strong!

Great metaphors by the way. When is the 2. part coming out?

  • @lyrix15 does that mean wunder wafle isnt good?

  • @lyrix15 Thanks for watching, shoot me an email. CK.

  • what about primal or paleo? those aren't completely restricting of carbs (just grains) or calorie restrictive

  • you should to a video on what you do for meals and how you eat everyday. maybe some recipes? =)

  • first baby!

  • @Nyze2 nice. CK.
