  • christyj1977 can you sculpte military figures in54mm?

  • @saied49 actually, I haven't ever tried to sculpt a military figure in any size, so I'm not sure.

  • your amazing keep it up!

  • What is the tool you are using around 2 mins? Rubber tip?

  • That is a gum massager I bought at CVS pharmacy, they come with a bent handle, but I straightened it out.

  • Thanks.

    Nice work by the way.

  • Excellent Work!

You can only get better, but this is GREAT!

  • why did you choose to make it so small, wouldn't it be easier if it was bigger?

  • Possibly, but it is the scale I choose to work in. I like the make dolls from 6 to 8 inches which means the head proportionally will be under an inch from top of the head to the chin. Some prefer to make theirs 12-14 inches which means a much bigger head, really, it's all personal preference.

  • looks pretty good so far. sculptng small figures are hard.. but i find it challenging

  • how many time did u spent for this??? i use polymer clay like super sulpt firm that is really hard!!!

  • It's been a while since I made this particular face...usually it takes about 45min to an hour..this one probably took longer.

I've tried Super Sculpy Firm, I don't use it very often because it's not my favorite texture to work in.

  • BRAVOO ! From an Italian boy.

  • Great job!

  • what is the name of the material that you are using????

  • It is polymer clay, it bakes hard in a home oven. There are several brands, I mix Cernit with Super Sculpey and a bit of Premo. Most craft stores carry Premo and Super Sculpey.

  • Just thought I'd mention how much easier this would've been if you were sculpting a bigger head of Angelina..

It's much easier to add intricate detail.

  • you might be surprised at the amount of detail that can be achieved on a much smaller scale, I don't sculpt much smaller myself, but I have seen some AMAZING pieces done with half the clay I used...and less. Thanks for commenting. Check out Planetfigure for some intricately detailed miniature work. :D

  • yhea really miniatures sculpted with fimo and green stuff are amaizing!

  • Pretty good.

  • :O that's great!

  • Great video! What a pro.

  • Why all the disclaimers?

  • mainly because it is only my second attempt at sculpting a portrait face...And I think I still have alot to learn. Thanks for asking :D.
