The answer to my problems is me and my ambition. The role of the government is to ensure a level playing field. It's called equal opportunity, not equal outcome. It also doesn't mean we all have the same starting point. However, over the years, the government has stuck its nose where it doesn't belong and has messed things up. Then they try to blame the free market, thereby, ensuring that the sheeple will grant them more power. This is not what our founding fathers intended.

The problem with that argument is that it assumes that America has always been a level-playing field, which, if you look at our history, you know is patently false. Look how long it took for women to get the right to vote, and African-Americans took even longer. Fact is, even now, the "level playing field" still hasn't been achieved, but it IS getting there. We'll know that everyone's on an even level when bills like Title IX and ADA aren't needed anymore.
