  • Superb tutorials... thanks !

  • thank you for this great tutorial.

very helpful for my workflow. :-)

  • lol join myspace they have a cube maker and you dont need to spend over an hour trying to build a cube!

  • plz help, HOW TO CHANGE THE BACKGROUND IN PHOTO SHOP CS5, just like yours in very full screen in photoshop screen. and I know there is some colors to change in custom, but I want a put my own picture in background, so this is my question HOW TO CHANGE?

    PLZ HELP

  • @NEKAADMI Go to file then place and find your picture xD

  • i consider myself as a photoshop novice and photoshop tutorial like this really amaze me. thanks much. truly appreciate it. :) keep'em coming!

  • I'm not trying to be a butt, I like the tutorial, gives some good techniques, just curious though. Why can't you just take the photos you want and crop the squares, put them in photo shop and peice together the box the way you did but with the photo instead of making a box and pinning the picture to it?

  • great tutorial. tnx

  • thank's a lot!

  • Die Qualität ist wirklich sehr, sehr schlecht.!

  • this is not working for me

  • how do you select all the layers?

  • in cs4, how do i make this an actual 3d object???

  • CS4 has built in objects under the 3D option in the menu bar - and you can add textures on it as well - similar to the pictures added in this tutorial... :)

  • were using your tutorials at school as well ^^ learned me almost everything in about a second.

    thanks ^^

  • I love your use of photoshop very good tutorials. When you are skewing the sides of the cube you can type the value in the field to get exact percentages. Thanks again

  • Lool your voice sounds like football commentators,,, I like that voice its Cool

  • Thankyou :)

  • hey! I really like your tutorials!! but how can you give it softer edges?

  • 9:20 shuffle it up in the air a wee bitte

  • the lid looks a bit lifted onthe back side

  • Tnx man...very helpful tut.

  • you could just put the pictures on the faces before free-transformig them, so the work would have been much easier. that's kinda fail there...

  • Gavin once again you are the man! I love it and I also love the simplicity of you tutorials

  • CS4 offers some amazing 3D tools that makes tasks like this so easy lol

  • Correct, CS4 Extended does have basic 3D tools, but not everyone has CS4 and not all CS4 users have Extended.

  • Thats true i didnt have it at first but after seeing what corey can do i bought the upgrade and it was a good buy.

Was just looking at your site you have been added as my homepage any chance you can suggest a good SLR camera im thinking of getting one. looking at the nikon D90 its has some good feedback from a lot of people.

  • Nikon, Canon both make decent cameras. D90 is excellent and offers HD video as does the Canon 500D

  • if u wanted a 90% height for the rectangle you could simply type out 90 in the height box and press enter

  • awesome tutorial easy to follow.

  • I used to do this when I was bored in the Gimp a few years ago.

  • OMG i did it xD

    Thanks Gav!

  • Great Gavin... Wonderful Tutorial

  • Thanks Gavin, that's perfect!

  • Great tutorial

one question though, is this in CS4

if it is, can you not just get the 3D cube from the 3D menu and do the picture thing you did?

  • You are a talented teacher Gavin. Its an excellent tutorial. Thanks

  • Excellent tutorial Gavin. All your tutorials are amazing. You are really a talented teacher.

I have a question please. How do I put back my tools when they keep coming back with me on the picture?
