Let’s not forget the McMartin Preschool Trial, where frightened parents went on a witch-hunt and accused 8 innocent people of child sexual abuse. The belief among the fearful parents was one of hysteria toward people who’s lives were literally destroyed because of wrongful suspicions and false accusations. We know abusing children is wrong on every level, but creating an environment of social hysteria is also wrong.

Yes, you are correct that, as teenagers get older, the definition of their ability to make adult decisions gets blurry- but unfortunately, without some arbitrary definition of "age of consent," determining whether a crime has been committed would become completely unmanageable.
By the way, no homosexual I know considers it a "lifestyle." There's no such thing- they consider it an orientation.

Numerous reputable studies have shown that there are treatments that can resolve (or at least mitigate) the disordered mind of a pedophile. There are churches that make the claim to cure an attraction to the same sex, but it's called brainwashing. It's essentially the same with the pedophile, only it's called a cure. Everything you're listing is a product of consensus reality, rather than objective fact. I suppose that still makes it true, but only in a hollow way.

The "love" a pedophile feels for children has nothing to do with the object of desire (the child himself) but rather the feelings of power, etc, that being with children provides.

In all honesty, what's the difference between homosexuals and pederasts/pedophiles? The only major differences are age and consent. And even the latter isn't always true. In defense of the makers of this film, it was the 1950's. Sex was a highly taboo topic at the time, and it was classified (wrongly) as a mental illness. Part of this misconception was arrived at through honest, though invalid data. Most studies of homosexuals at the time were conducted utilizing patients in mental facillities which would include people like pedophiles. It was only in the 1950's that studies done using proper samples were performed.

"Anti-Bestiality" laws were tied to laws forbidding interracial marriage, such as in the same bills. When civil rights removed those laws, by technicality bestiality was made legal in some states.

As I have said previously the sexual terminology for cases such as this is Bi-sexuality, the attractions can be more than physical they can be for the persons mind, their ideaology the way the act. Physical attraction is not always the cause for sex or a relationship forming some people fall for a smile. It is intellectually dishonest to think or say that race and sexual orientation are the same. Reason being race cannot change whilst sexual orientation most definitely can and does. Prison inmates provide a prime example. They change to become sexually attracted to and have sex with same gendered individuals. That is homosexuality. You know, there is 1 MAJOR difference between Pedophiles and Homosexuals.
Pedophiles bring harm to young kids.
Homosexuals don't. They don't bring ANY harm!
In fact, hate-mongering heterosexuals are more of a threat to society.
Here in Holland, we legalized gay-marriage. And guess what? Nothing disasterous happened, everything is just fine 'n dandy.... So there's no reason to be afraid.
