got my vote .... finally someone from within the system fighting for TRUTH go Judge James Gray!!!!! common sense battling comfortable ignorance! ur the MAN!
Legalizition will probably decrease the abuse of substances. I think Gray is forgetting about an other important subject. You cannot stop people from consuming drugs as long as they exist. But as you cannot eliminate them, the only choice you got is to educate people towards drug consuption. We have to be sincere and explaining truly the problems of drug abuse (not use) is the only way of having people making responsible and informed decisions.
everyone running telling this guy to run for president is just retarded. you guys do know the president is just a figure head... anyways he should write a bill or something if he becomes a congressman. maybe that would help
A prohibitionist is either a drug dealer, or an accomplice of a drug dealer, or an immoral jail builder, or an ignorant jail builder, or a puritan knowing for *you* what is bad or good for *you*. All will deny the evidences, steal your money, demolish your health and put your children in danger. Some with an air of good conscience.
Stop voting for a politician who has the slight air of favoring prohibitionist policy. Please.
Okay how do you decide who needs weed, Oh I have a habit please prescribe me a joint, look at methadone anyone can get on that, all they to say is there a opoid addict
Imagine all these pot clinics popping up all over the place, I'm not saying weed is bad, personally I don't like the way it makes me feel. but legalizing not a good idea.
Which would you rather have, gangs overrunning neighborhoods selling drugs to kids and recruiting them, and spending trillions (think about how much a trillion dollars is for a second) on a policy that doesn't stop drug use whatsoever.
Or would you rather have a legally regulated stores that sell them, and use the trillions we will save and be created through tax revenue to support things that really matter, like health care, law enforcement, road management etc?
@readynow12345 Why do you need to decide who needs weed? Do you need to decide who needs aspirin? Or coffee? Or energy drinks? The people who need weed are the people who decide for themselves they need weed. Isn't that what Liberty is all about?
Finally, a wise legislator speaks out with truth! How refreshing it is to hear him as clearly as he sounds, as informed and educated as he is and mostly, how unafraid he seems to be that he is willing to stake his professional career on being blackballed (or perhaps even killed) by his superiors.
I see that this video only has 56 views in 2 months and to me, that is another crime. I suggest that this video be favorited by everyone coming here and posted as a response to many others!
Well, he damned well aughta be! I musta been stoned when I thought that and completely forgot that he couldn't possibly have been a legislator. Legislators can only doubletalk, lie, promise and deceive and after listening to this man once again (while sober), I realized just how stupid I was to confuse an honest man with a fucking legislator! Thanks for pointing that out tho, I'm always glad to meet perceptive viewers out here on the internet! Now, GO GET STONED!
grogen22 - yes there've been studies, but not of the kind or quality that the federal government is willing to recognize or acknowledge. That's why Harvard Medical School, Yale, Columbia, Stanford and Berkeley have all been categorically denied when they requested the right to study the issue scientifically and medically.
As long as the 'drug czar' can claim there are no 'official' studies out there which corroborate the medical uses of marijuana, they can cling to their fiction and lies...
This O.C. judge has nailed it -- but he overlooks the obvious fact that the government (that is, the FEDS, specifically) heavily sponsor and fund all efforts towards marijuana enforcement. This means that small local police and sheriff departments would lose major portions of their budgets, if these and other drugs were to suddenly become legal or controlled substances that are taxed by the government, as they should be. The FEDS can't keep their fiction alive without funding it heavily...
this is real call 973-409-3274 call and press #,its a petition to obama to legalize weed,if it gets one million votes,he will consider it!! copy and paste this to everything related to weed.
his words brought happy tears to my eyes. decriminalization can not happen soon enough! government does not want the people to be happy and have high consciousness. well sorry government but you are losing....
I COULD drink instead of smoke pot.. But I actually care for my health.

Prohibition doesn't stop anyone from obtaining illegal drugs, it just creates gangs to sell them, and they don't ask for ID.
$40,000 spent annually to keep one person in prison for a year, and the majority of people in prison have never once committed a crime with a victim.
We spend billions ANNUALLY enforcing prohibition, and it doesn't stop anyone from getting drugs.
And if someone is doing something that doesn't harm anyone but them, then why should anyone care?

Sounds like a good man.
I disagree that there has been no study done, infact there is solid proof of cannabis's anti-nausea and cancer treating effects.
But still, he supports freedom, so good on him!
