  • Quality does pick up in the second half though.

  • Wish I could have found better quality footage but HD wasn't as predominant on YouTube when I made this. In 2007, all tennis videos looked like this.

  • Why put up sports highlights of a ball game that are so poor, you cant see the ball. Its like some weird mime tennis. Or maybe its the world champion fly swatters.

  • Agassi will always be the fan favorite because he let the fans in with his play style. It is why they loved him over Pete, even though Pete was better.

  • Sampras and Agassi. You don't get any more legendary than that

  • i want agassi 2 watch this

  • That was the 2005 US open final. He was up a break in the 3rd and could have easily won that match. If he did, he would have retired the next day.

  • "Well..I can play my exiting style tennis, and you can play your boring.."

this is Agassi for you, he's a legend, he changed the whole world of tennis, and we'll never forget him :p

  • he is the legend cause exactly he changed the game of tennis, and the world of tennis opening new doors for others!!!

  • man his hair was truly amazing :)

  • i bet u guys i cant ace him

  • Andre was great, went to the US Open when he crushed Stich. Best returner I have ever seen, best ground strokes. He and Pete put on the best show.

  • Andre Agassi was the most gifted player ever. He just couldnt get his priorities straight. The 8 career grandslams dont do him any justice. He could have easily surpassed 15 had he focused on tennis as his number one priority. This man perfected every shot in the book, and created many more spontaneously with such ease it was unbelievable. Andre is the true legend of this sport. The greatest baseliner, the greatest returner, and by far the most popular and loved figure in history of tennis.

  • totally agree!

  • totalmente de acuerdo contigo, gracias Agassi por tanto tenis

  • So desperately want to say it better, but really can't. You nailed it!

The only thing I would add is his conduct both on and on the pitch, his sense of perspective, fair play and honourable conduct also made him so beloved. Nice comment Kassh83.

  • Appreciate the feedback. You're absolutely right about his conduct also. He was a class act, on and off court.

  • I remember seeing a ranking on Sports Illustrated once of the most charitable athletes and Agassi was #1. Can't wait for his autobiography, I KNOW it'll be the most interesting tennis book of all time, just like I knew Sampras' would be a very dry read. Pete was a great player but he was always a bore compared to Andre and seems to be a lazy bum in his retirement.

  • @kaash83 Took the words out of my mouth. He created angles with such ease. When he was focussed, evey Sampras' serve was going back faster than it came in. Most talented player ever, no doubt.

  • @kaash83 If you have read his autobiography you would know his reasons for not being completely devoted to tennis. He hated that game more than anything in his life.

  • @loganr3Gee Yes I have read it. I know he hated it, but what's with the condescending attitude?

  • @kaash83

I agree with all of that.

  • @kaash83 These highlights don't do him justice.

  • @kaash83 with such ease? he hit a million balls a day at 7, 8, 9, and 10 years old. then he left his home to train 2000 miles from his family and friends. Thats not really "ease"

  • @1313tennisman You just completely missed my point and desperately searched for something to comment on. I agree with what you said, because yes Andre worked his ass off to reach his peak but it was totally irrelevant to the comment I had made.

  • @kaash83 personally the reason he didnt focus on tennis as a number one priority was because he HATED tennis.

  • in some point he kick the ass of federer, if he was younger and not tired he would have won the US Open 2005 no doubt about it, but after big matches against blake, he couldn't play that good

  • You're so right. He was tired in the us open final. His body just couuldn't resist in that final when he was 35.

  • @UchihaGege Exactly. Even at 35 vs Federer in his prime, Agassi still managed a set with a bad back and undoubtably tired. Just shows what would have happened if the ages were reversed, would Federer even take 2 games in a set (not trying to offend Fed fans I'm just wondering)??

  • he has such good hand-eye

  • what a legacy- we miss you andre!!!!

  • Beatles fan possibly?

  • that red surface slice at net at 3:27 was very hot!

  • gosh he keeps that pressure on from the baseline. Cool beans, nice movie

  • Best Baseliner EVER!!!!

  • He's the best returner EVER :)

  • Also true!

  • amazing. Thanks whoever made this video.
