Despite the complaining, if you get hit with her ring out combo, you deserve it. Its far from the hardest to keep an eye out for and predictability can mean that even mediocre people have a decent shot.
Hilde is my main. i love her. she's actually the only one i know how to use well...but ring outs are not my thing unless the other person spams like hell. then i got no choice...well i do but ef it. hahaah...people should just be fair and not do ring outs the entire battle. that's ridiculous. if you know how to use Hilde, ringing out shouldn't be an option all the time.
@RoyalGuard503 Hilde got banned and now the tourney scene is growing again. The rest of the game is pretty balanced though some characters are stronger than others.
@RoyalGuard503 There's a tourney scene for Third Strike. If the gameplay is fun, it won't matter to many players whether there are a few characters who are way better than the rest of the cast.
@zybermen Yeah, because they'll be busy picking the overpowered characters over low tier characters, since one takes significantly less effort than the others.
@rmnhn i would have to say because learning two moves and spamming them takes no talent. :p i cant believe any stage with ringout's is even allowed in competitive play.
@rmnhn hilde was on the road to gtting banned because even the best players like scud would lose to only somewhat pros who played hilde. There are 3 or so mix up setups to the ring out combo, and then it's over. It's like knowing you only need 2 combos and you win.
@ninja122334 one question though. to me if a character was to be banned, the usual reason(s) would be a low learning curve and just too good against any and all other characters. does that mean hilde's learning curve is low or something?
@rmnhn You are mostly right. The learning wouldn't that much different from other characters, except instead of learning 10 combos to mix up, charge-hilde players only need to learn the three charge combos. Other than that they just have to know a couple launchers, and they win. (Also her combos are easy to execute)
Doesn't sound so much different from characters like Ivy, but Ivy doesn't have a 90% chance of beating you in one launcher to combo move, while hilde does.

that ivy player wasn't that good.

Eh, the Ivy player's meh. I think Hilde should have won.

the reason why shes booed, is because it takes relatively no skill to ring someone out with hilde!

I love nightmare. He's hard to master, but its rewarding when you use him to pound Cervantes' and Kilik's faces into the ground

I think if the Hilde player's controller didn't have problems, then the Hilde player would have won.

There's a tourney scene for a game this unbalanced?
Jesus, and I thought Super Smash Brawl's scene was bad enough

@rmnhn Mainly because Hilde was the most retarded dumbshit character to be put in a fighting game since ST akuma.
