  • im going to start saying methadone cuz thats keeps the beat from gettin dopesick

  • GREAT BEAT MAN

  • Really like this track you made!

  • the sounds from the fantom r stacked right. my question is how did u get it to record thru the mpc. for some reason im havin a problem doing that. i have a g6 fantom and mpc 1000. also i have a alesis fusion how can i record everything together. any advice is great homie

  • Totally agree... I have pimped FORAT MPC-3000 and the MPC-4000. These are the two best ever made.

  • do you still feel the same way 2 years later? im thinking about getting a 4000 but its harder to find out info about it cause its discontinued

  • man i would kill this beat do u still have it for sale???

  • How many niggawatts dat mpc run on? If it's more than 1.21 I'm gonna need a new power plant.

  • No Hate, But I LOLed when you said "I like my Methadone fast..." its "metronome" Methadone is bathtub speed, where as Metronome is a clicking sound used for timming in music applications....

  • @LatigidGolana LOL, I said Metrodome even doe thats also wrong.

  • @slimmivy Looks like we both got it wrong lol.

  • @LatigidGolana actually methadone is an opiate, not a "speed"

  • @jasmineshypnosis LOL realized it after I clicked post....

  • @LatigidGolana Actually Methadone is an opiate barbiturate where meth or methamphetamine is a "bath tub speed" or straight garbage chemical...

  • @DJillogick I know I know...already been established LOL...

because it doesn't work when i put the erase button when i turn the mpc on..

    thanks for the help!

    peace from switzerland

  • what mpc buy? 2500 or 5000?

  • @holaemga12 either would be ok.

  • @holaemga12 Neither. But if you were going to get one, I'd tell you to get the 2500. The 5000 was a big flop IMO. I think The 1000, 2000xl, 3000, 4000, and 2500 are all better than the 5000.

  • tupac!!!! lol keep it comin g

  • Sick beats bro. Just curious on your thoughts as to the NI Maschine compared to MPC?

  • Respond to this video... Respond to this video... I have been curious about it. Im thinking about getting it. I keep changing my mind. I have been watching vids on it, but cant find one with banging drums to make me change yet. I have been going to the guitar center messing with it. I might by one next weekend just to see if I like it. I confused . LOL

    slimmivy 1 sec ag

  • @dannykirsch With a laptop Ni is way better than MPC as MPC is know for its small sample memory, Hell even the korg micro sampler in my opinion is better put any drums or phrases on it you want. Roland samplers are even better than that as you can stream your samples right off the memory card no internal memory needed. That gives you the ability to add anything you want and as long as you want...MPCs are good as hip hop drum samplers. Also with MPCs you have to buy a memory card and a ram card.

  • big nigga slim, wat would u prefer noadays, the 4000, or tha 5000? hit me back bruh, tryna cop one soon

  • yo black i got a 2000 mpc roland fantom S korg triton motif rack and a keystudio 49i midi controller/audio interface also a fast tack pro got my midi i/o going into tha 2000 but my motif and midi arent in tha loop u know same with my fast track pro can you help with my midi situation my nig please and thank you

  • Wow you must be rich cuz. Smooth beat

  • LOL HAHA he likes his metrodome fast hahaha so funny yo.

  • ay slimm....what you think about the new 5000?

  • @JavaSpitLava I think the 5000 is ok, now since they upgraded the operating system, At first I didnt care for the 5000, but since they did an upgrade I think its a good machine.

  • @slimmivy i thought it looked a little neat....looks like they did a few things to help people stay in tempo when they arnt paying attention.....and all the extra cd-r and dvd exports...sampling must be alot easier...say you ever got into analogue equipment before?...like the tr 909, or the linn drum Lm2....would be nice to see you work a classic....

  • OH WORD YOU LIKE YOUR METRODOME FAST ?? lOL

  • mpc 4000 gonna be classic & is the best ever for OG Rap beat makers. Stay up bro.

    PEACE. London irish bboy.

  • Yo please get at me w a studio review. Looks like you got a sick set up going on.I'm 15 working on getting my own studio n need all the knowledge I can get. I wpuld. Really Appreciate some info. Keep it up tho if that beat was juss messin around yu got skill bro

  • @JRjonjon713 thanks

  • dope boy music i feel big hommie

  • dude your setup is sick! its like watching DJ gear porn! Where did you get that stand for your MPC btw? I use a RS7000 and that stand would be perfect for me. Thanks for the videos man, really dig your stuff!

  • METRODOME YO, I LIKE MY METRODOME FAST YO

  • What's the difference between the MPCs? Surely there has to be a major difference between one to another, other than RAM/memory capacity etc. I had the 1000 with JJ OS2, and although I love it, I found it had limited functionality for what I wanted to achieve at the time. I couldn't see any reason why a 2500, 4000 or 5000 would do any more, other than possibly give me more sampling time.

I'd love a pad based sampler again, but the MV 8800 is the only one that seems to do more than any MPC.

  • @VYD239 I hate to tell u, there is a big difference in the sound of all MPC's, especially the 3000 & 2500, they have more of a raw hard sound. The only reason I like the 4000 the best is because of the way you load your samples and the optional features such as word clock and etc. Have u ever had a MV? I have, The sound is darker. It has nothing on a MPC,, but it do have one good feature I like, that is being able to record a guitar or etc and it will loop perfect, but the 2500 can do that also.

  • @VYD239 Cool, thanks for the reply man. I assume when you mean the MV has a darker sound, you mean it is more 'cloudy' and less bright? I have an Elektron Machinedrum and this also feels 'dark' in it's sound output. Do you think the MV is just maybe a bit quieter? I know my MPC1000 was pretty punchy in comparison to other machines I've had.

  • The best MPC is the 60 and the 3000 all Roger Linn Models are the best MP's

  • Dat was cool! Like how you put that together. Caught a lick and I'm gettin my first mpc 2000xl in a few weeks. you think I'll be straight with that till my money get right for a mpc4000? Ima check out some more of your video's! Keep em comin

  • @DeeNLee08 Yeah! the MPC 2000xl is good also. If I was u I would just learn that 2000xl and use the other money when u get it on something else you need.

  • 4000 is a good mpc, but id have to say best mpc is 3000

  • how do you feel about the native instruments maschine big bro ???? if you havent used it it think you will like it .. im a equipment junky

  • @charliecheize I think its cool. I messed with it at the guitar center. But Im ok with the mpc and battery and reason,, them are the thing I know, No need to deal with learning something again ,, when I have something that works for me;

  • 1:28 what the hell was happening there> lol

  • ey bruh.. wat speakerz u got set up there?? where can i get em at????

  • @beatz1212productions u don't no pause

  • Meant to say Scoop Deville MPC 5000 review.

  • @tres look at the Scood Devill MPC 5000 YouTube review..that's the realest review on the 5k I saw so far.I would take Didubz advise about the Apogee AD DA converters on the comment below.

  • what about 5000? I hav one on the way

  • @urban. Man if he was using a 60 or a 3000 he would of had to through a million disk to find that "dealing cocaine" phrase sample. On the 4000 all he had to do was scroll through his HD directory. 3000 and 60 are so outdated.still great machines t

  • This nigga ain't slangin' he owns the fuckin' gym. Respect dat.

  • I liked the mix up that was kinda tight I got to learn how to do that even I make beats but damn I'm not even that good with the software jez.

  • your setup is bomb.

  • the 2000 xl it's the story!!!

  • @AllenDR97 60 son... or 3000.

  • my guess is he's dealing cocaine. like his sample says.

  • Edit !

  • Hahahaha, u need to learn how to edi

  • @Felnuts DRUGS OR HIS ASS...HA J.K GOOD SHIT SLIMMIVY.....AHAHAH EDIT THEES NUTTS BITCH GOOD ONE

  • @Felnuts Dealin Cocain, dealin cocacain

  • @Felnuts HAHA shit he probably hustle nigga, shit we out chea tryna eat bruh, weather we jackin, flippin, or scemein its all in da hhustle

  • @Felnuts listen to the song.. dealin cocaine, dealin cocaine

  • @Felnuts job? lol

  • here it is........i tried the 5 thawsnd.. lol nice gear bro

  • Oh, for the record, great trick, you can by the apogee ad 8000, with a ambus adat 8 card, run it adat in and out of the 002, it is old school, but by apogee tech telling me that this is still a flagship, the sound quality is better then the ensemble and it is ten years old man. I got the apogee ad 8000se,, it was made for mastering engineers, thats where its at man!

  • @didubz Get um used for alot less money then apogees new stuff!, and they kill any interface you can pick up at GC.. Keep making music. I will refer you to some artists, that are talking cash..

    God bless

  • I had the MPC60. It's dope if you like that gritty Old New York style.

  • whats the price of that thing??

  • this nigga is good!

  • Thanks for the info. How much does that jj os cost?

  • Yo slim what do you think about the 5000 now? Gonna get one?

  • very nice home studio mane.

  • You wanna trade a 3000 for your 4000? LMAO, JK

  • Comment removed

  • whats your tempo?

  • Do you know if you can switch the MPC 2500 to 12 bit. I have the MPC 2500 still trying to learn it and the Motif ES6 Still haven't got it down yet. Do you have any tips that i could use.

  • @Outsida2K About the 12-bit question. It's called Bit Reduction. I'm not sure if bit-reduction is available as an option on the 2500 but you can always do it manually in any sample editor: The volume of the sample is lowered to introduce quantisation noise (good stuff) and then maximized to regain the sound pressure. Rename and save sample. Quantisation noise is more obvious on low frequencies (long 808 Bass Drum)

  • What you like better about the MPC 4000 vs the MPC 2500?

  • @Outsida2K The way you load the sounds,, the sample rate, the word clock option, and the 8 individual outs sound way better than the mpc 2500 8 outs

  • The 2500 with the JJ OS has a way better work flow than the 4000. The sampling part of the 4000 seems like an after thought rather than an integration. The way you can chop on the 2500 with the JJ os is just plan sick its like having recycle on the screen. After you slice your samples you just press send to program and it will automatically send your sample across the four banks with out you having to map them.

  • how does the 4000 compare to the mv8800?

  • thanx 4 tha post - U just convinced my to cop one - logic iz good but it don't work 4 me as far as Ultrabeat - aint really good for makin beats on da fly - how does it comare to tha roland mv 8800?

  • Comment removed

  • how u liked the 2000xl?

  • @KingMonkey6 its ok but I like the 4000 better

  • @slimmivy send them beats my way, I got rappers in and out daily, and for the record you nice man!

I am thinking about picking up a mpc 4000 myself. I would clock it to the big ben,, and run some apogee convertors. I'm a mixing engineer by the way,, nice video man. You the truth on the beats!

  • @didubz thanks for the comment. I am going to start watching you channel, You got some good information on it. Yeah I might start saving to get a big ben and some apogee converters soon.

  • @slimmivy I just called a rapper, to check you out! That big ben makes a huge difference when it comes to hip hop lo end,, real talk!

  • @didubz cool

  • u still got the mv

  • lol... fix your foam buddy.

  • @chugslaughter what the matter with my foam ?

  • Well, you have a limited amount it looks like, should be putting it in strategic positions to maximize it's effectiveness.

All of it behind your gear is in a pretty weak spot. I'd suggest moving it to where the sound is actually hitting.

  • @chugslaughter This vid is old plus,, My whole back wall has it and my front wall wich you cant see in the vid has it and also my ceiling has it and I also have bass traps. And they have been placed in thecorect places

  • fire

  • I've always heard that mpc 3k was the best as far as sound quality n sequencer "feel" but I've been turned off by older mpc's w/o usb capabilities cuz it's jus so much easier to load drums n samples by jus sliding the sounds over through usb. Also u get better sound quality sliding mp3's versus sampling analog unless ur sampling vinyl n that's the sound ur looking for. I've owned a mpc 2k xl n I loved it but my 2500 is way more convenient creating music. I'm waiting on the opportunity 2 try th

  • @harris1201 Yes I agree. You can also connect usb to the pc and drag samples onto the 4000

  • get you a 3000 it's the best !!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn that was pretty tight homie! I've always been highly intereted in learning how to make beats like that. If you ever want to sell the equipment necessary to do all that just email me and let me know. Thanks and great work...

  • where do you get the money for this

  • @dre1on3

Hard work and dedication ... live the dream!

  • are you tested mpc 5000?

  • i prefer the 4000 over the 5000 to go figure

  • @SchematicBeats real talk

  • yo u should do a vid showin off tha features a tha 4000

  • Nice tutorials sir, do you have problems with syncing midi time code to protools or logic. I cant get my 4000 to sync correctly

  • Really Good.

  • Thanks so is yours

  • u sound like me i switch up like hell and now i wanna get rid of my 2500 to get the 4000, i don't really feel the 5000, all it has extra is arpeggiator and a few more sliders and knobs.

  • Nice video, i like the way he is, natural, he is not trying to talk "gansta" or anything like that, he is being real, Congrats!

and you are very kind on sharing this with us! thanks!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • damm my dude you got a dope set-up the beats you made is cool if you nerver used mpc 60,mpc 3000 you havent used an mpc yet but you are on the right tracks the mpcs are the best dont ever bother with no computer bullshit

  • I love the melody on that joint. 2nd Sequence.

  • get logic pro 8 or 9 and a mpk and your good money

  • Thats next on my list,

  • No way brah no logic and mpk ova a mpc

4000 ....wow B. Cox brah use a mpc and logic 8 you dudes and your computer love

Use logic as a rack mount ...Mpc is the best seq. hands down and Record in protools....24 bit 96k then its ova..

  • @goongod yeah i hear you.... i had every mpc but logic is that work!!! I use Pro Tools for recording ...But to each its own bro

  • co-shizzle!

  • pro tools all the way

  • yo i cant ind a fuckin mpc 4000 anywhere, besise ebay. Whered u get urs?

  • any reason tho because ive been thinking of getting an mv or mpc 2500. just wantd some info

  • @R0cA ,,, I just like the 4000 thats all-- and I like the 2500 also,,, You cant go wrong with the 2500 it will be a good choice.

  • wat made you get rid of the mv

  • I like the MPC better than the MV

  • That's right man! Buy the 4000 - There is no multi program and sequence save funktion like the 4000. Why lose the best new feature in the akai family? The 4000 has got 96k/24bit - the 5000 comes only with 44.1/16bit. Get the best quality for your sounds and take the MPC 4000!

  • ima sticc with the mv 8800

  • @cripoutloc ....me too

  • @Drecka940 FINALLY ANOTHER SUPPORTER OF THE MV

  • @cripoutloc Another MV8800 user right here. It's dope!! Definitely the most underrated sampler ever. It's easily in the same league as the MPC4000 and MPC5000. In my opinion and experience I liked the MV better.

  • Tight setup Bro, ya got some major toys I'm still tryin to figure out my mpc500 before I step up to somthing bigger

  • Riley. Good choice to get another 4000. You can hear the difference. Your drums are hittn harder and your beats are swingin better. The 60 and 3000 are great machines. I use both. The swing and punch of those machines is unbeatable, plus they are real simple to use. The 4000 is the only MPC i haven't used and it's next on my list to get. I like the mute group option on it. The 60 and 3000 are like the 2000XL, you can only make 1 pad cutoff 2 other pads. Keep bangn beats cuzn!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Hey Riley. If you work on MPCs all the time, do you have any MPC1000's you can sell? I've been workin hard to find a nice cheap one but i think the $200 ones on ebay are just rip offs and theres none in Pittsburgh on Craigslist

  • No I just sold a 2000xl about a week ago,

  • aw. any other kind of mpcs?

  • BIg DOG! I see you with the 4000. I got that 2500LE and loving it. It's your boy Al Dog. I'll get you that interface soon. I love the new video, this is Michigan showing the world what's in store for the music industry....holla.

  • what up AL

  • whats the deal....diggin the new video...Im straight thinkin about getting rid of the MPC2500 because since i done jumped into reasons real heavy, I rarely touch the MP...what do you think is a fair price.....I got the limited addition also in excellent conditon...I got no.43/500 this is the second year....hit me up...keep making the vids.. I used them joints....Bmore

  • 1200.00 to 1400.00
