  • where were you when they build a ladder to heaven

  • this is true country music, its got his heart and soul poured into each and every lyric

  • I come from a christian family, I myself am not but why are we arguing about ones faith? He loves jesus and talks to god, and you know what im glad that he upholds the faith our country is based on. Where were you when the world stopped turning? I was 8 years old and sitting next to my dad in my living room.

  • Where does it say that only Americans are pious christians? He is talking about himself! He knows Jesus and talks to God.

  • @clarew59 you are an idiot you and all these other people dont get it it's not about if your a christian or what religion, you follow what god says that you believe in your heart in him cuz he died for you and the only reason you people are here watching this is because of god and it is only because of god our country has survived god just wants us to follow him and tell others about him thats all its so easy but yet we mock him and despise him and christians are not pious find a true christian

  • @webmastertool

He said that he knew Jesus and talked to God... He does... where does it say that only people in America are pious Christians? Unless that is what you want to turn every message into, I can't see it.

I personally don't even believe in a higher being, but I am pretty sure that others' can have their own opinions on the matter. Regardless, this is an excellent song and sends a great message. No matter what or who you believe in or don't.

    Get over yourself.

  • lol jesus and god? SO he is saying the only people in america are pious christians? fuck me.

  • I was seven years old, but I'll never forget the day. Long live the red white and blue

  • Sorry, the local newspaper carried that day a picture of Virginia Tech students going out to the drill field , making a circle and joining hands. Veery bittersweet, that picture, considering what happened at Virginia Tech in April of 2007.BTW, I haven't read the Sunday funnies in ages, but the 10th anniversary of 9/11is on a Sunday and every American comic strip writer and artist will be paying tribute to the victims and heroes of that day. And President Bush was a great leader on that day!!!!!

  • Looking back, that was a question that I'm sure was asked a lot that day and in the days that followed. But when I got home and watched those events unfold for the first time, my heart sank and I was horrified and I ciried and cried. I think that this great song pretty much covered what Americans what thru that day and in the days that followed. You know, I have relatives in New York and thank God none of them died that day! And I'm from Virginia and there's picture in the local from that day

  • No one will ever forget where they were on that horrible day, unless they were too young or had some kind of mental impairment. It'll be one of those "where were you" questions, like , OMG there are just too many sad, terrible examples. I was at work. So was my brother. Our parents were at home, so they were probably more affected by it at first than we were. But I remember thinking "What the hell's going on"? When my mother picked e up from that day, I asked here, and she had no answer.

  • He makes a great point. 9/11 was a horrible event, but we must never cease to love our neighbors, or our enemies. That is one of the hardest lessons the bible teaches us, but we will all be better for it. God bless America.

  • "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 cor. 13:13

  • i cut school and slept in. I woke up at 8 and turned on sportscenter. Then after half way through, there was breaking news. I was both confused and scared. I had to make sure everyone was ok. I finally stopped at noon. Thank God I only lost one dear family member in that tragedy. I am now in Afghanistan with a new perspective.

  • America.

  • this is a really touching song

  • ya where were yall on that september day

  • @lsufanes717 getting ready for school when it happen

  • i love this song

  • this is a good song

  • I don't think they have forgotten. I don't think we ever truly could. Burnt forever in our hearts and souls.

  • many people have forgotten

  • makes me cry!

  • I'm glad he mentions God and Jesus. That he doesn't forget why America came to be and that loving your neighbor as you love yourself is important......
