While its NOT the VERy first recording its ALmost Exaactly the same using the SAME Musicians You CANT Mistake Ralph Mooney on Steel ~Definitly a Country Classic ~Steve
This is an alternate take done at the same time as the original Challenge label 45--circa 1959. This version was not released until 10 or 15 years ago, when it came out on a German label. The 2 versions are quite similar. This is still Mooney---playing his home made steel and sounding like only he can.
In 1985, he was embarking on a comeback tour after years of obscurity, when he suddenly died of a heart attack. For those who fondly remember Wynn Stewart, his unique voice and singing style will not be emulated.
I think this is very good!!!!!!!!!!! I had never heard it. He was a very good artist.

It sounds like a copy of the original with an echo added. It is for sure Wynn Stewart.

Not the original. A good remake, but not the original. There was an original version a while back but the YT police have been busy, lately.

You can tell it is a remake ... the original featured Gordon Terry on fiddle and Ralph Mooney on steel.

This is not the 1959 version on the Challenge label. It must be a remake.
