I don't believe you can OC the u123, although I have not tried, I don't see anything in the BIOS that would give me that option. The u100, however, can be OC from 1.6ghz to around 1.98ghz. Be careful though, MSI does not cover OC related incidents under its' warranty.
excellent video ntlane....and your other videos are really good as well....its funny because i bought this MSI Wind before watching your videos and i cant tell you how long i've been researching about the right netbook to get....i wish i had watched your videos earlier
At best the MSI Wind will run WoW at 15fps while in open areas. Cities on the other hand will run between 3-5fps. As to Halo, I haven't tried it yet. My guess is that it will run, but with very low fps. I will be sure to update you when I do, thanks.
If you want to use it as an internet devise, or for writing papers, sure. If you want to use it for gaming, however, you may want to wait a month or two. Nvidia and Intel are working on getting a full size graphic chip on the netbook's mainboard. This means that it should play WoW at 30-40 fps on high graphics. I also saw a video demo of someone playing COD4 on the new nvidia chip. Look out for the Nvidia 'ion' chipset, this is their new graphic chips for netbooks, cheers.
They say that the starting price will be around $399 for the ion platform. If you ask me, it's worth it. But, if you budget is very strict, then the prices should drop progressively after a few month.
yea that sounds like a good reason to go over my budget. i am going to need this netbook for high school and i am going to be using it for mostly work BUT you know how it is its always nice to have those extra features
BestBuy sells the MSI Wind U123 for $349. Nott too bad of a price plan on getting one myself soon. I browsed through a lot of netbooks and reviews and so far MSI has the best deal. Asus no offense to them is overrated now. I saw a Gateway with an 11.6" screen and thats way too big any bigger might as well be my laptop and pop in a disk drive.

youre right, i think making a netbook any bigger than 10 in in defeats the whole purpose of it being a netbook
