  • love the video really good

  • interesting video and very informative

  • Jews are something else, they should open them self to help people from africa starving to death , but was nice about them is all about their group of their religion only..

  • @tribefunk1 Actually, if your anti-semitic self did your research, you'd realize that there are a TON of Jewish agencies doing a ton of different things in Africa and around the world. And I could say a lot more, but it'd be lost on your ignorance. What are YOU doing for Africa? Bench presses?

  • 1) Hi to everyone. I consider myself a friend of Israel though I am neither Jew nor Hebrew. My Christian background teaches me to bless Israel. I probably have a lot of catching up to do with the dispersion history as historical records can hardly be found especially ones discussing at length who are who among the Twelve tribes and what happened to them in the several dispersions. The Bible is clear on one thing, that the New Jerusalem has twelve pillars signifying all the twelve tribes, (cont)

  • Dear @berguss22

You are a bit confused about your background. All jews come from the middle east- from Israel. The Sephardic jews, either stayed in the Middle East or to Spain and later to the Middle East. The Ashkenazie jews when they were evicted from Israel move more in a European direction. But we all have the same background. Though, of course, some people converted and joined us along the way.

  • Paula is just beautiful.

  • PRETTY

  • You can tell God loves her because she has so many extra teeth. She is generously beautiful.

  • @bugietube loool what does that mean

  • Paula Abdul is one of the rare nice people from the music industry. She seems to be someone that very approachable to the public.

  • Way to go, Paula! Be yourself.

  • Paula Abdul origin is from a Jewish Syrian family.

  • We're proud of you, Paula!

  • she is jewish! awsome! we love ya here in israel paula!!!

  • i thought the rabbis can't touch women

  • @nickvonmises The statute regarding touching women is followed mostly in orthodox circles, but Jewish modesty laws apply to all Jewish men, not just rabbis. That being said, Gershon Veroba's not a rabbi. The rabbi in this video did not touch any women.

  • we love you Paula. Shana Tova

    (שנה טובה)

  • Any names can to be for Jew people, the racist people look that for to say, ey he/she have names like Arab, Hispanic, German,... So the name is not important, the important is the Halaja. The are jews names, Perez, Molina, Amado, Diaz, there are100% Jews, the people thinks, the Lerman, Stilman, Goldberg, are the real names 4 jews ... Noo

  • @Tafur444 Your correct =] are you jewish?

  • Abdul is muslem name.

  • @chemicalsister1000 shes from an Arab country but she is jewish

  • I love how they took Celine Dion's song.. ( :

  • HHHmmmmm Abdul is it? Abdul...paula Abdul?? is she undercover or something?

  • she looks pure arab

  • @berguss22 She's Syrian.

  • @berguss22 She looks Arab because mid-east Jews like Paula and Arabs and Palestinians are ALL true Semites. This as opposed to Russian Jews, like me, whose ancestors didn't come from the mid-east but from parts of Russia. Paula is a shepardic Jew, dark skinned like her Arab cousins.

  • @Loejyrrab Do you know not all arabs are dark??there are many semitic arabs who have natrually pale skin??arabs are very diverse looking people with diverse cultures.

  • she's arabic

  • she is a Syrian Mizrahi Jew :)

  • someone told me she was puerto rican explains her last name being abdul it sounds middle eastern or sumthing not spanish

  • Now it all makes sense.

  • what's a good Jewish girl?

  • She's a Jew? why is her name Abdul? Abdul is an Arabic name not Jewish!!!!

  • @yankee4321

beacuse she is a jew that came from (her family) an arab country. its like there are many jews that their last name is german, beacuse their parents came from europe...

  • @yankee4321 That dont matter, i dated a girl jewish girl from Morroco

  • @yankee4321 because she is a Sephardi Jew.

  • @yankee4321 Her father is Syrian Jew that's why she has an Arabic name!

  • @yankee4321 and your point is???

  • @pound203

    Syrian, not Sephardi. Mizrachi.

  • wow I never knew she was Jewish!! XD Im Sefardi Jew from Spain!!

and my lastname is Abarbanel and im proud of that hahaha

  • @YosefSkato Go figure

  • @YosefSkato : well, I am French Canadian (chilly country :o) and found out a few years ago by DNA that we are Sepharadies from Spain....people of the Inquisition. My surname is French...what you all have to understand is that we took on surnames according to the countries our people adopted. All our surnames are easily translated into Hispanice ones....and or German ones, i.e. in France, Doucet = Zucker in Spanish (or German) is just a remote example. The DNA for anybody reading this is

  • Good going Paula. We Jews are proud of the fact that you're proud of your heritage. Go kick Mel Gibson in the nuts.

  • @39rc6cf Good idea 39. Gibson is a drunk, a bully and one of the biggest Jew haters today. But if Paula gets the chance to give him a swift to his beytsim, she should wear spikes.

  • @39rc6cf Yes indeed, I am very proud of her. She's a sweetie pie. American Idol is zilch without her.

  • I didn't know she was Jewish.

  • @FeelingWreckless wel her last name is abdul

  • What song it is...? I really need it! Please...

  • @BelinQa96 Go to the music page on the website written in the description and look for the first "Impressions" album or download it from Rhapsody, iTunes, etc.

The song is called "That's What Praying Is," an adaptation of Celine Dion's "That's The Way It Is.",

  • I really enjoyed watching this video. Paula, you inspired so many people to follow their dreams and never give up. Thank you for that!

  • I had no idea that Paula was jewish. :)

  • YES BUT HOW MANY OF THESE FAMOUS JEWS ACTUALLY PRACTICE TRUE JUDAISM. THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING TRUE/ORIGINAL JUDAISM.

  • @mrjanu100 I noticed the absence of a question mark, but I'll post your comment to allow others to enjoy this as well. You apparently have the authority to pass such personal & religious judgment after a 3-minute video, being the authority on true Judaism that you are.

I'm not sure which "famous" Jews you're speaking of, but no one here has claimed to be anything beyond what they are, which is all any of us can be...except you, of course.

  • @mrjanu100 I am not Jewish so I dont know exactly how to say this but Paula has videos up about lighting Shabbat candles on fridays and she's got these things hanging on the doors in her house (NOT being creepy here, it was on a tv celeb houses thing) plus she always wishes ppl well on Jewish holidays twitter wise when she's talkin about family dinners and such.

Anyway, I still dont know what I'm talking about in regards to symbols and candles, all I know is she seems pretty real to me.

  • @DarlingTinaSheep

Paula has the shoulders uncovered. That's against the principle of tsniut. Period.

Also, I'm suspicious about that Rabbi looking at her without a problem. A big beard and the costume is nice but it's better to follow the fundamental laws before the customs. I have no problems with that, I'm just establishing the truth.

  • @ACogloc You should know that there is rarely a "period" except for people who adhere to these things and, if you do, more power to you. As far as the rabbi's concerned, save your suspicions for people who have problems with the world doing what they do, whether they conform to your beliefs or not. He's sees beyond what he agrees and disagrees with and treats her like a friend, as does the rest of his family. Time has also proven the friendship and loyalty between Paula and the Mentz family.

  • @ACogloc Also, if U can't see beyond your own life to see what Paula stands for here, then U need to check your priorities. This woman's star continues to rise, yet she publicly encourages personal strength & declares pride in her faith, even without being as religious as U. 1st try criticizing famous Jews who don't do that.

News flash: Not everyone follows the same rules of tzniut as U (or even spells it the same).

She wore the dress because she likes it & looks good in it...period.

  • REVELATION CHAPTER 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. CHAPTER 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT YOU BETTER TALK TO GOD HE SAID IT NOT ME. PEACE!

  • @israelSeedOfSatan Your screen name suggests you can't read & these two passages from the Gospel aren't helping your case.

    1) These are NOT quotes from G-d, but from Jesus (a Jewish guy).

    2) It says nothing about Israel or Jews being the "seed" of Satan.

    3) It clearly says that some people lied about being Jews when they weren't, that they were actually Satan worshipers & that he would save them.

If you want to spread anti-semitism, don't try so hard to look like an idiot.

  • @gveroba - Some people think they knows everything and they are the ones that is looking more like an IDIOT. You shouldnt reply this that msg because any and everyone that reads their Bible that is what the Bible says. REVELATION CHAPTER 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. PICK UP YOU MAY LEARN SOMETHING.

  • @NubianQueenNEFERTITI Thanks. Usually Jew-haters quote Revelations out of context 2 defend their point, but u only repeated it. U still think it speaks against Jews?

Go again to #3 in my last msg, but it may be best 2 get a friend 2 read it 4 you.

Your grammar says it all: "They knows everything," "the ones that is looking..." Kinda sad.

When u re-interpret passages written a language u haven't mastered, then perhaps it is u who needs to "learn something." English may be a good start.

  • @israelSeedOfSatan what book are you reading-- omg ignorance is bliss you redneck idiot. Jesus was a jew a and jesus never said such a thing - he came to fullfill a religion not start a new one so get on the bandwagon you hater. The Jews will carry the light into the world. And the may be the chosen by G-d but most importantly the Jews Chose G-d. end of story.

  • @sauer82855 There we are! I see I can now leave it to the rest of you to jump on these people Just be gentle...They have literacy issues. Thanks, sauer..

  • As Jews we shouldnt slander one another. Every being is unique and special and we dont have the right to judge one another.

  • PRETTY !

  • I see the way she has been trashed in the industry, I've seen her on tv. This is a true sweetheart of a woman. And don't you forget it.

  • She is hot....shalom

  • Ugh... :( this is kinda the void in my Paula fan life. lol cuz Im christian and shes jewish sooo... :/ we go opposite ways when it comes to our beliefs..but she still inspires me. :)

  • lol the rabbi is so tall compared to paula lol

  • Paula will you marry me?

  • lol

  • I love this Beautiful Yeshiva Girl!!

  • @drLibre22 OK, quickly...

Spelling out G-d offends some people because they feel it uses his name in vain. Regardless of my own personal opinion, I don't want others to be uncomfortable. Residents of Mea Shearim are sensitive about this as well.

Read what I said & please don't re-interpret. I merely asked why some people feel that dressing this way is OK for others, including orthodox, but not Paula. The Rabbi & his family simply do not judge Paula from the way she dresses.

  • @gveroba The matter about G-d is clear to me now, Thanks champ. But this Rabbi's indifference bothers me. I though that religious Jew is very keen on G-d's law and it would be more important that friendship which Rabbi and Paula share. It seems a lil bit hypocrytic. Same as thing that pisses me in my country. I live in Poland, very catholic country, knowing some girls that are religious, brand themselves Pope John Paul 2 generation, however they are using contraception and have premarital sex:/

  • gershon veroba! im a fan of yours! (and a fan of paula's too). i never knew she is jewish! wow! that is exciting to know

    -a chabadnik

  • Wonderful woman

  • I have been Sephardi all my life, I have just tonight via watching the Chabad L.A. telethon found out she is one of us! Barukh Hashem!

  • I had thought Paula was of Arab Muslim or Christian heritage.

  • @freeheretic111 Many Jews from Islamic countries have Arabic-sounding names. Her father is a Syrian Jew and her mother is a Jew from Manitoba, Canada (at least, this is what Wikipedia reports).

  • @rudabeh She has an interesting background.Of course those they don't Google famous people wouldn't know a thing about Paula or anyone else famous.

  • @freeheretic111 YA i also thought that Paula is a Christian Arabic women because the name 'Abdul' is an Arabic name that means servant..

  • She wore THAT to an Orthodox Synogague?! Show some modesty next time, Ms Abdul! They aren't even allowed to show their elbows, let alone their colar bone!

  • @cheetahluv16 It wasn't a synagogue. It was the Beverly Hills Hotel and, why is it OK for most of the millions of Jewish women in this world to wear short sleeves, including orthodox ones, but you're not allowed to if you're Paula Abdul...who's NOT orthodox?

Be thankful, G-d gave her a very pretty collar bone.

  • @gveroba I thought she'd preformed at an ORTHODOX synogagogue. Chabad IS Orthodox. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that I thought she was at Chabad.

  • @cheetahluv16 Read the description. She didn't perform there, she was just a guest. Chabad is an Orthodox-based movement that has thousands of non-orthodox people that feel comfortable being members for many reasons, including not having to be orthodox to be included.

  • @cheetahluv16 Chabad is beyond Charedi they are Chassidic!

  • @gveroba Tell me something. I'm recently a little bit courious about Jewish culture. Tell why you write G-d instead of God - I saw the same spelling on a photo of a sign in Jewish Haredi neighbourhood in Jerusalem that asked females passing through to wear modest clothes. So here's another matter: why u say that its ok for a Jewish orthodox women to show her naked shoulders as Paula did. Rabbi that looks Haredi seems not bothered - it's a lil' strange to me. PLZ explain it to me.

  • @drLibre22 It's a carryover from writing. You can't erase G-D's name including the english version of GOD. So in handwriting people often do G-D (you can't throw it away either, old religious texts get buried in a cementary). On a computer it doesn't matter but the habbit and convention stuck. On the question of the shoulders it's not. But Chabad philosphy is to be welcoming. They try not to critisize, they don't change what they do themslevles though. Go to askmoses.com for more

  • @gveroba Bravo, rebbe !! Ha, ha, a good answer, I like your attitude very much !

  • @cheetahluv16 look- chabad doesn't turn people away, no matter what their standing is and what their beliefs are. We believe for people modesty is a big thin to take on and if you are not ready, pushing a person will only turn them away. Everyone grows in their own time. You cannot force a plant to grow faster. Its overwelming enough to keep the jewish commandments, so people should go at their own pace and take upon themselves only what they can handle, a bit at atime or else they will crash

  • @cheetahluv16 If the Rabi doesnt have a problem why should you make such an observation. Plus, many congregations in the U.S. are a lot more tolerant than what some people may think. Furthermore, most orthodox will focus on their orthodoxy, however, they respect those are not orthodox and will think that observing some mitzvot is better than observing no motzvot at all.

  • @cheetahluv16

did you say jewish women arent allowed to show skin? their not MUSLIMS!

  • Hey Paula, lets get married

  • I like the answer gveroba gave me. It means a lot to me to see someone who's true to their beliefs...

  • @bernsbandana Thank you for your support.

You should know that I also don't plan to make any more adaptation/parody albums. It's a novelty, it's been done, I did it as well as I could and it's time to get back to crafting new music and newer messages.

I can't always use other people's voices. I have my own.

  • OMG! I really hate that Christian Musicians Plagiarize the melodies of popular music.....it's not original it's stealing and it's wrong! I am Christian and of Jewish decent at that....I don't agree with this.

  • @FairGypsy I'm not Christian, This song was adapted specifically to make a statement .that would not have worked with original music.

It's called "parody." it's legal, not plagiarism, it required hard work, the music was produced from the ground up (no karaoke), the original composers were credited and it requires royalty payments of .09¢ to be paid per unit manufactured. It's not the only music I make, it's a novelty, it's inspired thousands & made them happy. Chill out, your holiness.

  • @gveroba I appreciate you can clarify that for me, but you realize your case is an exception. I can't tell you how many times my fellow Christians have gone under the fire for this. It is my feeling--emphasis on MY-- that songs of praise and worship should be original...not borrowed melodies. It seems that this practice is exclusively reserved to this religious group. Anyway, thanks for posting a vid about Paula being Jewish, I always thought she was Arab because of her last name. So thanks.

  • @FairGypsy Absolutely agreed. In fact, I am ironically one of the most outspoken artists against laziness in the Jewish music business. Many think it's more important to fit an established song to new words than it is for the words to be appropriate to that melody. Just because you like the melody doesn't mean it'll work well as a revision.

incorrectly chosen hit melodies often detract from their revised words. The original form of some songs just don't lend well to revision. This one did. Tx.

  • @FairGypsy Paula Abdul is an American-born Mizrahi ("oriental") Jewess, descendant of the one million Jews who fled persecution in the Muslim countries. Of those million, three-quarters settled in Israel, while the remainder scattered about the planet. In Paula's case, her father was from Syria.

  • @bernsbandana I don,t know. Religion is a personal thing in my point of view, I,m Christian and have Jewish and even Muslim friends

  • @KevinRexrod Many of us aren't influenced by celebrities, but others might be.

Here is someone who is concerned about her public image, is extremely busy, make plenty of money and would seemingly have no need for more, who essentially says "I have all of this, but I still proudly serve my faith. You can too."

That's a lesson for anyone, no matter who they are.

  • @bernsbandana For some people, it may mean some common ground, for others, it may be inspirational.

As long as it has a positive affect, there's certainly no reason to dwell and agonize over the exact origins of her name, which many are still stuck on. The fact that she maintains a certain level of her faith and observance is apparently encouraging for many.

  • as long as she stands for hte good, it really doesn't matter what religion she is.

  • "Khazars (khah'-zahrz), a S Russian people of Turkic origin, who at the height of their power (during the 8th-10th cent., A.D.) controlled an empire which included Crimea, and extended along the lower Volga, as far E as the Caspian Sea. The Khazar Royal Family and aristocracy converted to Judaism during the reign of King Bulan (768-809 A.D.) and Judaism was thereafter regarded as the State Religion. About 92 percent of all Jews or approximately 14,500,000 are Ashkenazim."

  • Her father is a Morroccan Jew, yes she is Jewish.

  • Paula Abdul is a "Mizrahi Jew," That is a Jewish person who's ethnic group is from the Middle East, North Africa and the Cauccus mountain area.

(Ashkenazi Jews are from the Rhine valley in Germany...That's were they migrated to during the late Roman Empire/Middle Ages.)

(Sephardic Jews are descended from the Jews who had migrated to Spain during Roman times and were expelled from Spain in appx. 1492.)

There are other ethnic Jewish groups but I don't know their names.

  • Whatever I love paula.....

    saudi fan ^-^

  • i can't get the song in the youtube

  • I would love to meet all three of the incredible people in this video. Rabbi Mentz, Ms. Abdul, and Mr. Veroba. Maybe they would consider hosting a fundraiser in Bel Air for the Vilnius Jewish Library.

  • abulwatan,

In France we don't use these terms like this:

If you Algerian Jewish you're not Arab!

Because in Arabic Muslim means "Arab"

A friend of mine is Algerian Jewish and she doesn't consider herself as Arab but Jewish!

  • To be of Arab origin does not necessarily mean you are a Muslim. Their are Arab Muslims, Arab Jews, Arab Christians, Arab Druze, Arab Marinates, etc, etc, etc,

  • Very well said, Paula, and you are very nice, and you should be so proud of that. :)

  • Some of you have gone way off course, here. She's Jewish, not Muslim. Her parents are both Jewish, from mid-eastern origins. Moving on... thanks all i have to sayp.s I LUV U PAULA

  • i thought she was puerto rican

  • A person can be Jewish and Puerto Rican (if she is) . She is called Sephardic. I am Jewish but of Russion Polish descent. You can test my blood (DNA) and see I am Jewish and also eastern European. I am called Ashkenazic

  • @dena4yeshua im jewish and dominican :)

  • Gershon, Just subscribed to your page. I have been following you for years, & am very pleased with the way your career has gone. You're a real kiddush Hashem. I wanted you to know that I got to your website page after subscribing to the AT&T Radio app. Your song came up as part of Avraham Fried Radio. However, they didn't have any information in your biography. I copied & pasted your bio from your website. Now you have an official bio on AT&T Radio app. Keep up the good work. Very proud of you!

  • Dear Paula Abdul, my name is Uzi abraham and its not a big secret that i'm Israeli.

I can tell you are so wonderful and all of us are so proud that we have and some one like you !!!!

    KOl Hakavod !!

  • awwh she's such a sweet, beautiful jewish gilr =) a good example for all jewish girls!

  • god bless you paula abdul i love you

  • I like Paula Abdul. Such talented singer/dancer. But where does the "Abdul" come from if she's jewish?

  • Please click below on the right where it says "View all ## comments." Then scroll through or do a find.

This question has been brought up & discussed, on average, about once a week for the past few years.

  • Sorry for my ignorance..And lack of will to scroll. Do like her. Think shes a great singer and dancer. Now I don't relly care to find out the Abdul as I lost all interrest :P

  • He is so smitten with her XD

  • God bless Paula Abdul!!!!

  • really? When I ask my Rabbi uncle questions about judaism the answers never make any sense. Universal Love and Embracing Imperfection. Sounds good. They called me Yoko in high school, and unfortunately it wasn't because I was peaceful or made weird art. At work the manager introduces me to people as a nice jewish girl, in ernest. He means it, and I like him.

  • Paula!!

  • When I was a teenager in the Army, back in the late 80's, her CD was one of the few that was good to wake up to, in order to be in a good mood for the rest of the morning. I often woke up angry in the Army. Might have been the testosterone.

  • Shes gorgeous. She also had cosmetic surgery, look how even more fab she looks! Thumbs up!

  • i wonder if she can speak Arabic....

  • Of course she doesn't!!!

  • Just gotta - say this. Everyone here seems to be misled, but its nothing complicated, i don't even like her but i know about her more than y'all. lol

    Ethnically she's syrian arabic

    Religiously she's jewish

she's not black as many mistake her for - probably because of her last name and tan skin.

she is a nice person but a bit self-indulged.

  • @MrMember3 I Bet you if you asked paula abdul if she was an arab she would tell you No with an exclamation point! She may be syrian doesn't mean she is an arab

  • babe "Abdul" is an arab name. Syria is an arabian country right next to lebanon. They speak arabic. Google it.

and why do u assume she'll say "no" with an exclamation point. That seems very racist to me. Whether u like it or not she is originally an arab and she is a jew.

I'm not jewish i'm muslim. And even though many muslims hate jews, i don't. Because i believe being biased to some race, religion, etc. as u just did in ur prior comment, is really REALLY degrading to one's standards :)

  • yeah i agree with u im a jew from morocco and im an arab and proud to be one...

arab is a culture not a religion...

  • @truthisjudiasm arab is a nationality? a race? isnt jew all those thing besides a religion?

  • so paula is a plain Jew rite? cause im lost i thought she was just jewish

  • Some posts are funny enough just by themselves... Perhaps if you read it enough times, it'll eventually makes sense.

  • no but she is a jew i noe it cause paula herself said that she was a Jew and thats who she is not muslim or arab or whatever these peoples are saying

  • OK, but choosing between "plain Jew" and "just Jewish" is a strange selection. Like all Jewish people, she descends from parents and ancestors who originate in a certain part of the world. In this case, it's Syria or Egypt, both of which have had Jews living in their countries (not always happily, but that's why they left, I'm sure).

  • sorry then my bad ... when i said that i meant what u said :P

  • @gveroba Actually quite a few Jews were unhappily evicted, with all their goods stolen from them in 1948. Shame on the Arab thieves who did that!

  • @ThePaulaAbdulfan just a little lesson. Jews originating from the middle east are called Mizrahi Jews. Sephardic Jews are spanish Jews and Ashkanazi Jews are eastern european Jews. All jews, different traditions and different cultures. Hope that clears up any confusion.

  • @ThePaulaAbdulfan isnt her father lebanese? I know her mom is french cdn....so i doubt she was jewish. But her father has arab roots right?

  • @kmcl11 She is 100% Jewish. Her father is a Jew from Syria, and her mother, a Jew from the Winnipeg area. Look it up on Wikipedia.

  • @kmcl11 There are/were plenty of lebanese jews

  • @MrMember3 Addul's got nothing to do with Black, lol. Its an Arabic mid eastern name. However anyone whether theyre black or white or inbetween can have that name.

  • well you can't just be religiously jewish... you're only jewish if your mother is jewish or if you convert, and I doubt she converted.

  • I wish you guys would look through the older comments...it would save a lot of time and speculation.

    Both parents are Jewish.

  • "Highwind..." Perfect name. Your idea, buddy?

  • well, well, well.....

  • The Hebrew language is actually very beautiful.

There's a reason the Original Torah, and Original Bible were written in Hebrew.

I really want to learn it!

  • The You Tube Does Not allow anti-Zionist or anti-Jew comments BUT readily post anti-Muslim comments..BIASED?

  • Youtube doesn't have anything to do with that, the person who posted the video decides which one to remove and which to keep.

  • I love how paula is just so humble and sweet. Now i know what her motive was on Idol :)

  • The tittle says "Paula Abdul is jewish" I thought she was black. She has to be half black you can see it in her

  • Judging from your spelling and your mis-reading the title, I'm not really sure what you can see.

  • abdul is arabic name Not jewish

  • She is arabic and Jewish. Judaism is a religion. Arabic is a nationality. I obviously don't have a clue what her family was encompased of religion wise all the way down te centuries (neither do you), however what I do know is there used to be a huge Syrian Jewish population.

  • I beg to differ. As a Jew I do know that we are also a natioanlity even if we are not directly from Israel. Did you know that you can know a person is Jewish by testing their DNA . I also am on the bone marrow list for Jewish people so your information is wrong. We are a nationality as well as a religion which proves the Bible is true.

  • he is so smittten with her!

  • Shes a good girl..Woman. Truly loving judaism. He is however so smitten with her it's cute.

  • do jews believe in jesus or the divinity of jesus becuase i heard the do not?

  • We believe he existed and that he was Jewish. We do not believe in his divinity.

  • she's so pretty :)

  • ohhh, she is a GOOD jew...she was too close to that man, like if they were hugging.....shame on her!

  • sweet as she is. but ABDUL is not jewish

  • huh? there are some typical jews family names, but most of the jews haven't a jewish name, cuz when they lived scattered around the world, they take attributes from the population around them, so cuz paula's dad was a Syrian jew he has a syrian name.

  • Yes she is, i mean not ethnically.

    Ethnically shes syrian arabic.

    But religiously she's jewish.

    Most important though - she's a human.

    lol

  • if you are a Jew, you cannot be Arab by blood. she is not a descendant of Ishmael. she's a descendant of Isaac.

  • @deephauz

there are tons of Arabs who are jews. MOREOVER there are TONS of palestinian jews. Its a stereotype to even believe all arabs are muslims. Arabs can be jews, christians, muslims, even ATHEISTS. Arabs existed WAY BEFORE islam. did. Hence, arab jews existed before arab muslims. Am a muslim and i have jewish cousins. Yeah guess what, they're arab.

  • Totally agree and yeah Abdul is an Arab name.

  • @Glamourlification ya arabs can be christian. I dont think there are jews who are arab.
