  • We don't know: deal with it.

  • I love idiots. I do...

  • I love how Hasselbeck pretended not to be sure it was Bill Maher who was challenging Christine O'Donnell to come on his show. Just a little touch of condescension for good measure.

  • It is ignorant to say whether you 'believe' in evolution or not doesn't matter, when it is a matter of tons of scientific facts to support it. Thinking evolution didn't happen shows a lack of knowledge or stubbornness about accepting hard facts and evidence. These are disastrous qualities in a leader.

  • @yarnpower I might as well: Evolution isn't proven. What if extraterrestrials showed up tomorrow and gave irrefutable evidence that they created us? Would you admit then that there's a possibility we've overlooked something...?

  • evolution backwards=devolution and thats whats happening, ALL FOSSILS ARE TRANSITIONAL! monkeys and humans SHARE A COMMON ANCESTOR! we didn't evolve from the current living great apes, chimps, monkeys in the modern world. people are entitled their OPINIONS, but not WRONG FACTS.

  • People hire these people to appear on TV an express their opinions, and they all get paid more than you and me. Sleep well, kids.

  • Wow... these women are all completely clueless about science.

  • They've found several missing links, it's been well-documented ever since Darwin's death and the scientific community is rather unified. Why is this conversation taking place!?

  • hahahahaha ! birds !

  • Don't you polarized idiots on BOTH sides realize that at every point in history there were people claiming they understood the Universe "100 percent", who were later proven wrong? Keep arguing dummies....

  • What intelligent people are saying to politicians is, "I want to be led by your intelligence, not by your emotions." I don't give a fuck about what your heart tells you. If Osama said he WAS a Muslim, would you have voted for him? If Romney said he thought Jews killed Jesus, would you vote for him? It's all emotional. Not rational.

  • her fucking shrill little voice goes right through me. god i hate hasselbeck

  • America needs some good women role models and these women are not them. I can see how they're playing dress up like "lets be big girls and say adult stuff" and then proceed to say silly things.

  • oh for fuck sake, countdown till hasselfuck turns another debate into a pouty whine fest.

Ten nine eight, hey she did it already. hoo fucking ray.

  • I'm done. Don't bother me anymore children, I have nothing to prove, the facts stand on their own. You will not find anyone with actual scientific training that claims evolutionary theory as "proven" The "evolutionists" have become more dogmatic and closed-minded than the Christians are. Sad....

  • holy fuck batman these bitches are FuckTards!!!

  • none of them understand the process of evolution. i'm just saying.

  • Hasselbecks voice is s annoying and what she says is simply stupid.

  • i pity richard dawkins... up against these imbicles... must feel like he is banging his head on a wall

  • I love how people say, "I don't believe in evolution." The truth is, 99.9% of people's 'beliefs' are grossly uninformed and absurdly ignorant. Take 'beliefs' with a grain of salt.

  • I dont get why people who dont believe in evolution say there isnt any evidence to back it. There is a huge amount of evidence, and no evidence to support bible stories whatsoever, which is what they believe in place of evolution

  • "You do know that Evolution has been proven." - Mr. Macky, South Park

  • the have it all wrong-

Humans didn't evolve from monkeys.... we both had a COMMON ANCESTOR and split off.

  • I want to teach them on evolution and genetics so badly!!! All four of them need it. -_-

  • "Why arent monkeys still evolving into humans?"

Firstly humans evolved from apes not monkeys. We evolved from an ancient species that no longer exist not modern day apes. We probably share a common ancestor with modern day apes. Based on their environment modern day apes may evolve into human like creatures over time. Question answered Christine O'Donald. Only took 2 minutes on google mkaibyeeeee

  • @buntibollocks Exactly! The fact that they keep calling chimps "monkeys" shows how ignorant they are in the first place. When Sherri mention "Lucy" she was not a modern human but a hominid, an bipedal being with apelike facial features! There are countless fossil and DNA studies with human ancestors, most notably the homo erectus.

  • Why can't people get the fact that there's no missing link? That's not how evolution works. Its 'links' and there's about 500,000 to billions depending on the life span.

  • Evolution is fact... There are still monkeys because WE humans have a common ancestor with them. People say they don't believe something without even knowing anything about it... Why form an opinion so ignorantly? Yet these same morons believe in fairy tells with no legitimate evidence.

  • Only in America does discourse such as this occur.

Their is no place for opinions where facts are involved.

    What a couple of dueschbags.

  • Hasselbeck thinks the world could also be flat.

  • Evolution has not been proven, therefore it is not a fact and a person is allowed to have their own opinion on the matter and if someone has a problem with another person having an opinion it only shows how ignorant they are. I don't always agree with whoppi but I usually if not always respect what she has to say. You do need faith on both sides.

  • Im getting tired of morons talking about "missing links". "The missing link" is something Darwin himself talked about before we knew about ANY fossils. The morons of the day aswell as creationists today, quote mined what he said in order to try and undermine the theory of evolution. Fact is, we know about quite a few "missing links" today. Just google "human evolution" and educate yourself.

  • Eh. Hasselback doesn't say anything dumb here - she's right. Bill is using this for personal gain, which does seem a little below-the-belt. The ones I found idiotic were the ones who said (a) evolution hasn't been proven, (b) you need faith on both sides (which is true, but not in the sense that she says it).

  • I feel stupid everytime i listen to hasselbeck

  • Why is she asking for proof of evolution when there is no proof for her beliefs either?

  • Bill Maher is a bully that won't interview strong Christian men like John Piper, Billy Graham, RC Sprouls, Bill Hybels or any other intelligent Christians because he knows they would eat him for lunch.

  • Wow hasselbeck just let your emotions run wild why don't ya.

  • Sherri Sheppard is the missing link and Elizabeth's not far behind.

  • I think its hilarious that people still refer to it as "the" missing link. We have MANY missing links between us and apes. We split from apes 6.5 myo, as did monkeys. People use ape and monkey synonymously and that's incorrect.

  • Good dog, what a bunch or ignoramuses all around.

  • God bless Sherri and the beautiful SIC Liz. Evolution has been debunked.

  • @Brucev7 You just proved humans can evolve towards retardness.

  • @swedishguy83 Got Jesus? Joh 14:6

  • @Brucev7 Sorry, I stopped reading fairytales when I turned 10.

  • @swedishguy83 Let's see, like Men came from Apes, or Evolution is not "devolution", or the Bible was not Divinely inspired, not Historically accurate, that there is not a plethora of evidence that there is less than historical writings, ancient literature and historical figures?

  • @Brucev7 Yes, the burden of proof is on you religious people since you are the ones making a positive claim that god exists. I'm not claiming anything, I'm just rejecting your claim. Your so called evidence is just as much true as the "evidence" for any other religion, even greek mythology.

  • just when I hear "ok, you believe in evolution" I have to throw up.

  • This is why men rule the world. Think if UN's security council was like these chickens right here? Oh. My. God.

  • Scientists believe they have enough information to fill in the missing link. The current missing link is one that Elisabeth suffers from in these times.

  • Hasselbeck is on the show because she's nice looking and has great legs. Ratings is what keeps tv shows going. I'd watch 'the view' if she wore some booty shorts.

  • I,d Like To Spank Hasselbecks Monkey!

  • WHAT DO YOU MEAN MISSING LINK??? My god some of these women's ideas are inane. It is genuinely a statistical miracle, geologically, that we have ANY human ancestral remains at all. Even if there wasn't, the evidence in our DNA, and throughout genetic and fossilized data the animal kingdom is staggeringly overwhelming!

There is no such thing as a "missing link!" Find one fossil, and you've replaced one gap in the fossil record with two!

  • @jsnake01 Yeah, but seeing that species are so different, there should be Tons of fossils of transmutational species...MUCH more than the fixed species. Darwin himself said that if the fossil record didn't support his theories, his theories were useless. I don't know how much of "evolution", is true. Neither do you cause there ain't NO empirical evidence to prove it.

  • @vennylos Darwin himself lived when there was NO Fossil Record, you act as though

    A. it's easy for something to fossilize.

    B. That you have never actually taking a quick google search of List of Transitional Fossils.

God you people are fucking stupid, don't procreate please.

  • @jsnake01 dont worry, the black women in the middle doesent even know that the earth is round, youtube it its there lol

  • @nextblain It made my head spin, too. lol

  • @jsnake01 That's simply not true. We've seemingly proven "small" evolution; that an animal can adapt to it's environment. The "missing link" is the proof that animals turn into other animals, over *any* amount of time. There's NO evidence for cross-species evolution. I'm not a Christian btw, just someone with an open mind, so save it please. Cheers.

  • @ascetic43 There is no point having a rational argument with someone who starts from an irrational viewpoint - like you. You have little or no concept of the fact that is evolution. There is no such thing as a " missing link" If you knew anything about evolution you would not be spouting such rubbish. There are any amount of transitionary fossils. I take it that is what you are referring to.

  • @JohnS1704 What's my "irrational viewpoint"? That evolution is unproven? Then every competent scientist on Earth is "irrational", because NO SCIENTIST will claim it is proven. Again, I'm no Christian. I'm NOT arguing AGAINST evolution, only that it's premature to conclude it's proven. To claim it is, is unscientific. Read Darwin, Crick, Collins, Dawkins, Hawking, etc. NONE of them claimit as "proven". Any ACTUAL scientists here claiming it is? (Please pose, I'll tear you apart;)

  • @ascetic43 Oh dear oh dear, more capitals. Evolution is a proven theory just as the fact the earth orbits the sun is only a theory.watch you don't fall off the edge of your earth one day. Oh , and as far as tearing me apart - there's nothing less impressive than false modesty. You couldn't tear apart your own snotter by the sounds of it.

  • @JohnS1704 You're simply wrong. ;)

  • @ascetic43 "Simply wrong" ! Is that different from wrong or difficult wrong? Sometimes I do wonder ( if only briefly) about the validity of the fact of 14.5 billion years of evolution when we end up with clowns like you.

  • @JohnS1704 Hey dummy. I'm not a Christian, or "anti-evolution". My only stance has been: it's not proven to the exclusion of other possibilities. If you claim "evolution is 100 proven, you're SIMPLY, a f'n retard". Understand my position before you blindly attack. I HAVE scientific training. Do you? -

  • @ascetic43 My my, aren't you the dogs' bollocks ! Such large capital letters too and modest to a fault. You have no idea what I know or do not know and I would never make the mistake of blindly assuming what anothers knowledge consists of - unlike yourself. Next time you feel like picking up a book, try to make it one on english grammar.

  • @JohnS1704 'The dog's bollocks"?... Okie dokie you daft 'cooont. I don't give a s what you do; I asked if you had scientific training. Do you? And repeating my phrase "blindly assuming"? Do you have any original thoughts? My grammar is fine thanks. And, let's not forget who attacked who first dip-shit. Go f yourself retard. ;)

  • @JohnS1704 Have you read Darwin (obviously not), Crick? Dawkins? Hawking? Augustine? Kant? Plato? Descartes?, ad etc. I've gone through more philosophy, physics, comp. religion, psychology material than you even know to exist. I've forgotten this morning more than you'll ever know. STFU retard. ;)

  • @ascetic43 It is a pity you have patently never read Oxford Compendium of English, its Grammar and its application. I also summise that the tomes you mention all had nice pictures and extra large print.

  • @JohnS1704 Because I used capitals for emphasis my grammar is bad? I think YOU NEED GRAMAR LESSONS. Go suck your "dog's bollacks" you f'n sub-retarded moron. ;)

  • @ascetic43 I don't have a dog. Your grammar is still appalling. Never start a sentence with a preposition. Tut tut ... and it is bollocks not "bollacks"

  • @JohnS1704 Listen you f'n dandy little daffodil. I'm writer and an English major. I'll write circles around you. I find *your* grammar "appalling". I'll begin and end my sentences as it f'n pleases me to do. However, It's ok to start a sentence with "tut tut" retard?, and another one with "and"? Go be hypocritical and pretend-superior with someone else you dumb f. Holy s....

  • @ascetic43 But you are so easy to wind up ! I'd prefer sticking with you Major.

  • @JohnS1704 Dude. What was your problem with me to begin with? Did you even have one, or are you just a retarded Troll looking to fight with anyone? For real. Go away. Go bother someone else, "Major"... F'n dummy. Wow.

  • @ascetic43 No, just you !

  • @JohnS1704 Go away you f'n retard.

  • @ascetic43 "f'n" retard ! If you canny swear properly, why bother?

  • @JohnS1704 Sorry I "canny" swear you f'n retard. I wish I could just slap the s out of you in person. Be glad you have mon's basement and your keyboard to hide behind you little hobgoblin. ;)

  • @ascetic43 You mean "mum's"? Major in English - really !

  • @JohnS1704 ...Riiiiight. I'm American you f'n dummy. That's all you're getting. Now STFU.

  • @JohnS1704 I HOPE you're trolling me, and you're not that f'n dumb...

  • @ascetic43 I have a voice !

  • @JohnS1704 STFU.

  • @ascetic43 Naw !

  • @JohnS1704 You know....you're growing on me, a little. But, you should still STFU. ;)

  • @JohnS1704 You're totally a Christian trolling me, right...? Admit it, that would be clever.

  • @JohnS1704 But it's a really, really small and very gay one...

  • @JohnS1704 Youtube is full of intellect posers and academic pretenders. I enjoy you guys, keep talking.....

  • @JohnS1704 Oh, also: Then find someone else's dog to blow. Also, I don't care about your homo British slang, I was obviously just making fun of you....

  • @JohnS1704 "Transitory" Fossils"...only imply MICRO, evolution, NOT MACRO evolutionary theory. There is a BIG operative difference that I don't expect someone with NO SCIENTIFIC TRAINING to appreciate or understand. Scram kid.

  • @ascetic43 Has anyone ever told you that block capitals don't make your point any more valid? " scram kid" ! I take it you are a Yank.I rest my case.

  • @JohnS1704 BTW "Transitory Fossils" is not a recognized scientific term, that's why the quotes...

  • @jsnake01 Not that I agree with any of the View retards any further than that...

  • Looks like the ginger granny is the only one with an IQ higher than 10 XD

  • I love it when that black chick (non-Whoopie) says, "I don't believe in evolution". That is sooooo damn funny! (and sad...I feel sad for her). lmao

  • the only purpose barbara serves on the panel is to calm everyone down when things get to angry

    she's useless

  • Elisabeth has balls, Bill Maher is an areshole!

  • @Roobs67 Maher is only an asshole to those who are stupid, and well, Hasselbeck isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. This is what happens when you aren't very intelligent, and you are part of a TV talk show, you're going to be criticized for being an idiot. It's deserved.

  • evolution is NOT A FACT, it's a THEORY..

in my opinion, monkeys are monkeys.. humans are humans.. do you really think monkey could evolve into human?? seriously?? haha.. what makes sense is that the form of human itself evolved from time to time because they adapted their environment.. but they are always humans, not monkeys..

  • @arubanna You seem to be a bit confused on your evolutionary theory. No one claims that humans evolved from monkeys. Humans (who are apes btw) and monkeys shared a common ancestor which probably looked more like a monkey than a human but it was neither a monkey nor a human. It's really easy to see our relationship when you look at the DNA. The ironic part of your statement is that after you stated that Evolution is a theory you went on to talk about Microevolution which is a FACT.

  • @hebrewgod well, my bad, i meant the evolution theory that says monkeys evolved into human.. that's what i meant isn't a fact..

  • @hebrewgod ah, now i know what i was trying to say.. lol.. what i meant was there are many theories about the form of evolution.. but not all of them are facts..

  • evolution is not an opinion, it is a theory at most

-dont kill me for this comment lol-

    :D hehe

  • Evolution is not an opinion, it is a scientific fact. These woman have to go back to school. Would you get the same respect if you said that it was your right to believe in the easter bunny. There has been other discoveries made since lucy??? What is the matter with people. Who is their audience.

  • evolution=myth

how is that even politically incorrect? truth hurts

  • Did any of these women ever study Science??

  • @SerenityZero Just because someone says something that you like to hear, doesn't make it factual. There isn't "proof" of evolution, there's *evidence* of evolution. I don't expect someone who isn't "scientifically trained" to draw the operative distinction.... You picked the wrong fight this time dummy... ;)

  • @ascetic43 a) you have no idea whether or not I am "scientifically trained" which by the way you don't get to put in quotations since you said it, and b) there is, in fact plenty of proof of evolution, both genetic and demonstrative. Also, c) this is not a fight. A fight would be pitting one opinion against another. Evolution has been conclusively proven.

  • @SerenityZero I can put whatever I *want* in quotes, I'm mimicking your mimicking to be obnoxious, just like you were by repeating my original quote. And, like I said, from the way you employ "logic" to the assumptions built into your arguments, I *KNOW* you have no scientific training.... Stop posing bitch.

  • @ascetic43 You don't seem to be able to continue a conversation without adding a belittling name to every phrase or concluding with things you "know" about me. Then, as a closing remark, giving me advice I don't need because it suggests I stop doing something I'm not. I'd tell you to go back to high school not only to learn about evolutionary theory, to learn the meaning of theory in various discourses.

  • @SerenityZero Additionally, you should learn to make an argument without relying on calling people bitch or darling, as though they strengthened your position, to focus on ideas instead of concentrating on misconstruing others' statements, and to stop trying to hide behind whether or not you are "trained" or your supposed level of academic achievement as sources of authority to mask these weaknesses in your rhetoric. They don't succeed.

  • @SerenityZero So, to conclude, it's been fun baiting you, but it's getting old and I have better things to do. There are only so many darlins and bitches you can insert into an argument before you're exposed as ignorant and unable to form an actual argument. If you would like to discuss the particulars of evolution, do feel free to ask, but debating whether or not you have more authority than I on any matter is going nowhere.

  • @SerenityZero Thanks for the entertainment, and by all means proceed to misconstrue me being tired of talking to a wall as "victory." Those who build their entire argument on supposed authority, frequent belittling, and ending every post with a childish insult tend to do so. Tell your high school science and philosophy teachers I sent you in for remedial help :) Cheers.

  • @SerenityZero Riiiiiight. Hey RETARD, it's proper to call someone a "retard" when it's literally, clinically accurate, and it *is*, bitch. Again, there's no "proof of evolution", as much as you seem to want there to be, there's EVIDENCE, and *again* I don't expect someone who is *obviously* without proper scientific training to recognize the distinction. You didn't "bait" me idiot, you tried to enforce your false assumptions *on* me. Did I hurt your feelings? Good, you attacked me, remember?And-

  • @SerenityZero If it "entertains" you to be exposed as a fake intellectual in front of youtube, you're welcome. First you pose as a thinker, then when I shred your *false* assumption that evolution is fact, you pretend you were trolling. You are a sad, sad little person...bitch. PS: I can insult you *and* maintain my argument, see? Now go bother someone else with your sterile dogmatic scientific-ish "logic". Bitch. ;)

  • @SerenityZero And btw, no "misconstrue". You're stating *falsely* that evolution is "proven fact". I'm schooling you that it *isn't* thats a *fact*. Deal with it you f'n baby... ;)

  • @ascetic43 It is a proven fact. why don't you watch Man made god - Part 1 - god is intelligently designed. Follow some of the links there, and you will be listening to some real scientist and educated people. the types of people you should be listening to if you want to talk science.

  • @scooter42000 "God is intelligently designed" - "and you will be listening to some real scientist and educated people. the types of people you should be listening to" ....Thanks for the advice on what's "intelligent" from someone who can barely construct a coherent sentence. I'll decide "the types of people I should be listening to", thanks. Evolution may be general consensus, and there's *evidence* for evolution. But, there is NO "proof". And to claim there *is* is UN-SCIENTIFIC. Go away.

  • @scooter42000 And don't bother. I'm not interested in arguing with another emo atheist. Your arguments will be fallacious, assumptive and emotional, bc those are the *only* types of arguments that *can* be made because as much as you're convinced, evolution IS NOT A FACT, it's a theory. Evidence might one day be found that proves it, but that day has not come. To argue that it has is really silly... Now go away, and don't tell me some retarded video on youtube proves evolution. Bye.

  • @ascetic43 A theory is the strongest statement you can make about reality and if you actually looked into evolution you'd see that is it is in fact an indisputable fact!

Billions of facts from all the sciences all interlocking into one great monolithic scientific truth that only religious fucktards deny

  • @Rockster969 "If I looked into evolution"... Listen kid. I've read Darwin, Crick, Collins, Dawson -all the way back to Descart, Locke, Kant - over to Plato, Aristotle, over to St. Augustine, and C. S. Lewis, etc. I've read more material on philosophy, comp religion, physics, archeology, sociology, than you even know exist. Go away child. Evolution is a theory. I'm not a Christian, just someone much smarter than you and completely beyond your academic experience. Scram. ;)

  • @Rockster969 Even the retarded brain-washed institutional technicians you've obviously been conditioned by, don't call it a "fact". All you do is display your ignorance. Dummy.

  • @scooter42000 I have scientific training myself, I don't need to "listen to smart people", I am one, and have been trained BY the, directly. I'm no Christian, read my other comments and smarten up...

  • @SerenityZero "Evolution has been conclusively proven"? I'm sorry, I misses the announcement... You haven't even read Darwin, but you're proclaiming evolution "proven"? You are a f'n retard honey...

  • I love how she's like "put it all out there, Billy!" like she wants him to explain evolution to her. I find this hilarious because there's NO WAY she could shut up long enough to hear it, or set aside her ignorant bias to actually listen to it if she did. I'm certain he COULD explain evolution to her, as any person with layman's knowledge could at least have a go at, but should he have to? Pick up a book, you stupid cow.

  • truth does not require belief, it just is

  • "If you have information, put it up Bill" Did she never heard of a library?

  • how.. HOW can she say science hasn't proven evolution! Maybe we haven't proved that we evolved from apes but to say that she doesn't believe in evolution is like saying she doesn't believe in oxygen. We have used evolution to create things that we wanted and have now. Like dogs and bananas! Both we things that we made using evolution which is just the science of changing genetics. Theres no debate in whether it exists or not.... just plain ignorant

  • @MrCorkydork I'm not sure if you were shorthanding this, but this is a common misconception that she relies on as well. People didn't evolve "from" apes. Neither are monkeys evolving "into" humans. Apes, monkeys, and humans had a common ancestor, and they are three divergent paths taken by evolution. :)

  • they're on daytime tv for a very, very good reason

  • Ya you can believe different things about evolution and religion, just one is based on fact, the other is willful ignorance because of religious indoctrination. There are transitional forms, there is a lineage of human fossils that show gradual change and there is the overwhelming genome evidence were they can literal trace a tree of life through dna. We got tail bones, whales have hip bones. Its willful ignorance if you want to claim there's no proof of evolution. Your god wants you to be dumb?

  • Evolution isn't a "myth" or a fact, it's a *theory*. I'm no Christian, that's just the plain honest truth. Even the "law" of gravity is ultimately just a theory that's thus far held up. People are stupid and conceptually polarized. They can't consider ideas without accepting or rejecting them whole and outright. Especially these yenta coffee-talk retards....

  • @ascetic43 This is one of the most ridiculous, irritating and IGNORANT "rebuttals" to the theory of evolution. A "theory" in scientific language does not mean theory as in everyday parlance. It means it is the model, the system, the cohesive way that certain events and facts interact. A scientific theory is not unproven or questioned. People who make this argument are, in all simplicity, complete idiots. Understand the words you use before you use them, you ignorant putz.

  • @SerenityZero Hey idiot, I wasn't talking to you. But, go ahead, what *is* the theory of evolution if it isn't a theory? You insulted me plenty without actually challenging what I stated... I don't think you realize who you're talking to. I'm not some scientifically ignorant Christian who you can scare away with science, I'm trained in physics, linguistics and comp religion. Tell me what the theory of evolution is,if it isn't a theory, or pick a safer fight....retard. ;)

  • @ascetic43 lmao that is honestly hilarious. If you were "trained" in physics, you would know what the word theory means when you're speaking scientifically. I suggest you go back to grade school; if you weren't "scientifically ignorant" you would know this. I just told you what the theory of evolution is--it is the model or system by which the mechanics of evolution operate. That is, it describes this process.

  • @SerenityZero Riiiiiiiiight. It's still just a "theory". I don't want to argue technical semantics with you darling, but evolution isn't a proven fact. I'm sorry if you *feel* differently idiot. :)

  • @SerenityZero Something tells me we need to discuss the big bang *theory* next...? F'n idiot. Run around jumping on open opinion like you're the final arbiter of all creational theory. The atheists are getting more annoying than the Christians... Think before you open your stupid loud mouth next time retard....

  • @ascetic43 Atheists aren't the only ones who acknowledge the model of evolution (I use model because clearly the proper term, theory, confuses your "scientifically trained" brain). Darwin (and I admit I have not read his book but have discussed it) was apparently a Christian, believing in god as an arbiter, but not a designer. Many scientists study evolution because they are Christian--believing that god began the process.

  • @SerenityZero Well, I *have* read Darwin, and Crick, and etc.. Isn't it kind of ignorant to argue material you've not read? And, I didn't ask you for a moron's socio-religous history of creation discourse. YOU attacked ME for calling the THEORY of evolution, a "theory", remember? And, I *can* tell you're *not* scientifically trained merely by the way you "debate' and use language and "logic". Think twice next time twit, you might be about to 'pick" on someone academically *bigger* than you... :)

  • @ascetic43 You know, all that chest-pounding and over-employed belittling is the sticker on the package that says "too little knowledge to resist." I never said that Darwin proved evolution. I never presented any socio-religious discourse, other than to point out that the fact that I'm not Christian has nothing to do with a discussion of evolution. In raising that point, in fact, you introduced religion into the conversation.

  • @SerenityZero Furthermore, you continue to confuse theory for "theory." As well as confusing a mention of Darwin to proving evolution one way or the other. We all know Darwin didn't prove it, he presented a theory that got things rolling, which was later refined, clarified, and expanded upon. He theorized evolutionary theory, to make a trite but amusing pun.

  • @SerenityZero And, that's not a "pun" you f'n retard, you're not implying more than one meaning for "evolution". Keep going, I'm enjoying this in case that's not painfully obvious... ;)

  • @SerenityZero ...Do you see the way you're mining what *I* say for language, and repeating phrases *I've* been using? This isn't a "conversation", you called me "ignorant" for calling evolution a "theory". YOU started this, remember...dummy? I made the "atheists are as annoying as" comment to myself, I don't care how you *fee* about it. So, where did you get your training? Stop posing under negative assumption and either lie about your education or shut up about it. We both know your not trained

  • what bothers me is often times laymen on the subject of evol both PRO&CON can NOT correctly explain even the basic principles of evolution. For exam, listen to the clip of Bill Maher's show where Odonnell asks "why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?" Then the guy quickly&condescendingly tells her "it takes a long time". AAAaaugh!!This proves that neither O'donnell or that arrogant prick know jack bout Evol! BOTH didn't take the time to READ up on the topic. Same is tru forThe View hosts!!

  • @keybobrob I'm certain Bill Maher knows how evolution works. But it would take a few minutes to explain that that evolutionary path has already been taken, and chimpanzees are not going to evolve into humans. (As an aside, how arrogant to assume that would be the ultimate destination) Do you really think he has time to explain this to someone this dense? He had to give a short reply before she could interject more Crazy into the conversation. (His point, though, is still valid anyway)

  • @SerenityZero sorry but u missed my point because you drew the wrong conclusion about the "guy" i was referring to. If i was talking about Bill Maher, i would have said Bill Maher...I have little doubt that he understands enough about the fundamental premise of natural selection as the engine of macroevolution..but again I WAS NOT referring to Bill as you assumed I was. I was referring to the GUY that IMMEDIATELY spoke after O'Donnell, HIS was the comment that I referenced, NOT BILL's. ;-)

  • @SerenityZero and besides....u need to relax a bit..I'm on ur side!!!...u get so caught up in arguing with others that you can't even see when some one is supporting your position...relax....breath....aaaaaand exhale. lol ;-)

  • and2help u out further.I will try to PINPOINT the exact comment that made me say what I said. Go to a bit before 0:40 and listen CAREFULLY to the guy who interrupts O'Donnell with his ERRONEOUS response to her question. (he's wearing a gray blazer w/black shirt and is sitting next to the heavy set woman with red hair and purple jacket)..directly after ODonnell says "why aren't mokeys still evolving into humans?"...that's when mr. smarty pants says "it takes a long time" ok?..now do u get it?

  • I hate when religious nuts ask for evidence.....one, they don't care about evidence (because none of the miracles in the bible has any), and two, if they had it, they would ignore it.

  • A conservative Christian bitch calling someone that's not herself selfish? That is the definition of bull shit.

  • Its amazing that conservatives believe in God and everything else based on faith, but want absolute proof for evolution.

By the way, its quite amusing to see Sherri arguing about proof for evolution. A while back she said on the same show that the earth is flat.

In any case, what most people fail to understand or even know that science does not make absolute claims. Science is approximation to truth. Evolution theory makes a lot more sense than the Bible "logically".

  • "why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?"

that is the dumbest fucking question ever asked. until i heard this, i believed the old saying that there are no dumb questions. guess i was wrong... cuz that's a fucking doozie.

  • Evolution is literally carved in stone. Fossilized layers that represent epoch's of time show transitions from one version of a gene pool to another and they are called mutations. We know that genetic mutations are primarily caused by radiation in combination with natural selection. Consider our eye's that have evolved to see in the narrow spectrum of light our atmosphere allows from the sun. If we evolved on a planet with a different atmosphere and sun we would see in a different spectrum.

  • News Flash - Evolution has been proven. After you remove all the other ideas that are less probable and do not stand up to the basic demands of scientific evidence the correct answer is the most probable. It is disconcerting that uneducated remarks to the contrary are left uncorrected.

  • @brenbaroque Spot on. Most people don't understand that Science does not make absolute claims but rather approximations to the truth which can revised when new data is found. Hence, something we know now will be changed after 5 years. Evolution theory is probably the best explanation yet of the discoveries mankind has made of fossils. But who's going to explain this to people like Sherrie and Hasselback.

  • people who don't believe is evolution have to pray their sickness away.

  • Squaaaaaak!

  • She is the missing link. Everybody is a missing link! Evolution is constantly happening. These arguments do not happen in biology circles because there is no converversy! Evolution explains the natural world and has saved billions of lives because we now understand it. Germ theory, antibiotic evolution, gene manipulation, all these things are proof of evolution. Read a fucking book!

  • Don't matter what scientists have or haven't proven. Sherri said flat out she doesn't believe in science.

  • god i hate how people throw evolution around like they actually know what it means evolution exists. Speciation does not. we go "we came from monkeys" great... but thats not what evolutions means.

  • I don't think its wise to challenge someone with a much greater mind than yours, liz...

  • omg hasslebeck shut up. you just dont like bill maher.

  • It is EXTREMELY irresponsible to say that evolution needs "faith" to believe in and that everyone is entitled to their own opinion regarding it (As if it hasn't been extensively proven and documented)

This is the kind of thing that leads Americans by large to believe that evolution is false, unlike most of the developed world...

  • anyone that thinks evolution is a myth is ignorant. And Bill Maher is fucking awesome haha. I think its hilarious that he's using Christine's own ignorance to blackmail her.

  • I wish someone would simply ask Sherrie if she knows what a missing link is and to name them off. If she's going to talk about missing fossils, she should state which transitional fossils are missing their intermediaries.

  • it really bothers me when people who don't believe in evolution go on and on about how there isn't any proof blah blah blah, because there is a lot of solid evidence and there is no evidence that God created anything. im not saying i dont believe in god im just saying dont go around complaining about lack of evidence when you dont have any whatsoever

  • Evolution.Is.Not.An."Opinion".
