  • Personally, I think people don't want cloning because they are totally ignorant about what it is... they are simply scared of the things they don't know.... they are either too mind-brittle to understand it, or no one has explained them what it is... or just foolish moral views that have taken the whole thing out of proportion.

  • I have a friend that can make a lump of flesh with a chicken egg... no joke. is that legal? because I think its half human flesh...

  • i could sit through your lectures all day. quality. im also skint. give me a job mr patrick dixon

  • Does anything think that it will be achievable, in the future, to transfer the human brain from one body to another so that the reciprocant of the new brain will have the same thoughts and thought processes as the person that had their brain taken away? If this is achievable, humans could have numerous lives.

  • ive thought about this too,, problem is, that even if a transplant were viable, brain cells eventually degrade and die, being one of the few cells in the body that dont re grow, once the brain has reached adulthood it wont re-grow any damaged cells, so even if you had a healthy new body, the brain is still vunerable to senility and other degenerative problems.

there have been talks about intergrating the human brain with electronics directly. but most of it is decades away from practical use.

  • someone has already successfully transplanted a monkey's head onto another monkey's body.

  • i'm doing a debate project on human cloning. do u have any references for good sources?

  • who is the old fellow doing this video?

  • I am a lecturer on global trends and a physician by first training. Top right hand turquoise box will take you to loads more about me and over 200 other videos, website with loads of cloning pages (globalchange and then com) all free resources. Patrick Dixon

  • Clonning

If every human being were clone we all be extint. One clone may be carrying a disease that could wipe every human on Earth into Extinction. Also, another way I'm agaisn't clonning is that women will be the dominance: no men needed to carry out reproduction.

  • its cloning hun

  • you watch too much tv.

  • hey i just went into yr 9 and im learning about human cloning and whether they are right or wrong and cause i am in top set in science we are going to do a gcse exam and by the way this video was after my birthday. subscrbed and rates 5/5

  • In the near future, if possible I will have multiple clones of my self. I will have them for one reason, and one reason only. All of us know that the brain is the thinking nugget "What makes us think, feel, what makes us humans". I would use my clones as car parts. When my organs are getting old, and I'm coming to D-end; I will just transplant my brain (Nugget) to another clone. I wont die, I would live for hundreds of years, or maybe thousands. Remember life is just data, bit's of information..

  • You should just die, if you have a heart "disease", it is the natural order of life.

  • Well before i die i would like to have a Paris Hilton clone around for a while, would do the heart good you know.

  • i 20-30 years if u have a heart desis u could order a new heart that would be grown inside of a pig...

  • actually, it won't be grown in an animal, but in an incubation tank

  • i am doing a research project on human cloning, now I want to do it on stem cell research!.................. nice tie by the way.

  • Thanks - glad you found the video helpful - enjoy the others I have made, subscribe above and remember to rank what you like. Patrick Dixon

  • As you may or may not know in the US, 1337. (08-0005) is a ban on human cloning. I have to give a speech in a few days, Pro-Human Cloning. The information I received from your videos was vast. So much that I haven't a clue how to begin categorizing any of it. If there's any advice you can pass my way on how to argue this topic, I would be much obliged. -Chris

  • what's wrong dr.

    too much debt

  • my very own clone!

now neither of us will be virgins!

  • complete madness.

  • If it can be done, it will be done unfortunately.

  • Parts shop? Why fabricate when you could harvest? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hA -Joker?

  • i am completely for human cloning... mankind needs to move forward.... and Mr.Patrick.... i would love to sit with you .. and peck on your head... all day .

  • y would uwant to live forever i wouldnt and no one will and beliveve that. also i wouldnt like clones in the world i mean in general i mean i think it would be cool to lcone extinct animals to do research and what not but it wouldnt b right seeing like 3 of the same person.....it just wouldnt be right i really cant explain but i just dont like the idea of general cloning its cheating and playing god and breaking the rules of life.

  • I really think that vacinines based on a live virus or the virus as a conveyer of other genetic material leaves the prospect of retro-virus or unnatural recombinations of DNA in unpredictable combinations. Such live virus vacines may be the cause of future kinds of cancer.

  • I want live forever!

  • It is possible to clone only a human organ?

  • Somatic cell nuclear transfer

  • But if you cloned me they would be my whole life behind me rightZ? you couldn't develope them to grow 15 years in a few months or so could you?

  • Has anybody thought about the fact that human cloning can destroy a balance and devalue human life? what about the spiritual claims that you cant clone a soul?

  • what do they need to achieve human cloning and could they perform this when a senseless death occures in a child who was in perfect health.

  • What do you do for a living?

  • SCNT is old news - so says the Nobel Prize winner who was the first to isolate embryonic stem cells AND Ian Wilmut, who cloned Dolly. Inducing 'adult' stem cells to the pluripotent (iPS) state is easier, and according to Dr. Wilmut '100xs more interesting'. Both embryonic stem cell research leaders say iPS is the future of stem cell research. They are patient specific, don't risk women's lives acquiring research materials, and are US federally funded.

  • i hope i wont live long enough to see cloned people around.this can be manipulated and bring big problems to this world.especialy that thing when u choose the genes of your children,u actually buy a kid,and somenones kids are better cos their parents had more money.scary and disgusting

  • Prof Ian Wilmut, creator of Dolly has just announced end of research into cloning human embryos - indeed all embryo research, following new progress in creation of adult stem cells - exactly as I predicted would happen years ago.

  • since english is not my first language, maybe im missing something.are you the guy in the clip?and when will people start practising this new technology archievments?what do u predict?

  • Very good vid.

  • Supporting child slavery, having better life on an expense of another people's suffering, making money on pain of other people and than calling cloning EVIL though you are doing that indirect it is still your fault because you support people who do that. People should wake up and do something that is at least usefull for future generations if not those who inhabit this planet already.

Ethics are illusion, but that does not mean that we don't care/love about other people.

  • you're dumb

  • science fiction only means it may be 20 years before it will be seen everyday

  • im afraid to be cloned but somehow, science have their place in this world. We all want to live forever, ;)

  • Genetics and colonizing space are two of the most important things I can think about that should not be limited to what the public thinks. I believe that we should be able to clone and transfer our memories into the clone. It would make the human race so much more technologicly more advance. As for colonizing space, its fairly expensive but I believe will be worth the expenses. These 2 fall under the question, Whats life all about?

  • .... and what kind of world to we want to live in....

  • Well said... but what about cloning a body for organ harvesting to let your conciousness live on? That would be easier than the transfer of the mind into another body.

  • That is true - although many would find such cloning for spare parts distasteful. More on this see my site globalchange dot com / clonlink.htm Patrick Dixon

  • hmmm, i hate to say it patrick but there are facilities were they do have the technologies, and the future is already among us. There are cloning facilities and its people like you who will lead the others in the right direction. The option of choice is at hand. Cloning is inevitable, but use of it is where the option of choice comes into play. Make sure you do not turn into the corrupt path like the other scientists have.

  • Yes I am sure human cloning will be done - to produce babies.

  • All clones hare flawed. They don't reset the telomere length (so are as 'old' as the donor nucleus) and can't read the DNA properly. Cloning is inefficient and requires hundreds of eggs. Egg donation is risky; women can die from it. 'Clones' tend to be gestationally large, putting 'mother' at risk. Human cloning will not be done by anyone ethically.

  • Whats your opinion of medicine and the military R&D co-operation in R&D?

  • Yes to human cloning, a supermodel wife for everyone!!!

just take our brains and transplant them into our younger conscienceless cloned bodies, do this process whenever we turn old again, and vwolla , we are forever young,

  • I'm doing a research about human cloning(whether it is ethical or not!) and THANX FOR THIS VIDEO

  • I am glad you found this human cloning video helpful. Many more resources on human cloning on my globalchange com site. Patrick Dixon

  • Human cloning for medical research - embyros - or to make an identical copy of an existing person, as a new baby? Patrick Dixon

  • I say yes to human cloning

  • well said. nicely done. stay healthy and live long my friend.
