  • Thank you!

  • Lol, actually I broke my BB after I replaced the membrane by cracking the screen so i got an iphone instead LOL

  • Hi... I took my phone apart to change my keyboard(not membrane) and after putting it back together, the volume buttons, side key, and and camera flash don't work. The camera itself does work. Will changing the membrane fix the problem, or do I have to get the whole back housing? Thanks.

  • can i do this same procedure for the curve 8520? please get back to me ASAP. thnx

  • @KIckzManProductions I haven’t done this on BB 8520 but its most likely to be the same. Just remember to purchase the correct PCB membrane .Regarding the alcohol it is better to use pure alcohol but if you don’t have any then I guess that you can use different types as well. Just make sure to use it very little since you don’t want to get the main board of your phone wet.

  • @Manimanimm tnx, very good advice

  • Hi their, thank you this was really helpfull for me, is it possible to use any alcahol i would find around the house? or dose it need to be pure alcahol (99.9%), pleas get back to me as i do phone repairs and i will be having another phone to repair in 2 days.

  • DWL at waiting for him to come back with alcohol lol I guess video editing n pause video doesn't works again ^_^

  • 70% alcohol doenst damage your circuit board of the bb?

  • When I partially peeled back the membrane from the problem keys ( the 'P' and red Power Off keys) I noticed the contacts underneath were corroded. I cleaned the two contacts with alcohol and Q-tips, pressed the part of the peeled-back membrane back onto the contacts (it was a little bit loose) and reassembled the phone. Everything works fine. If your problem keys are near the edge of the keyboard, you may be able to use this procedure without replacing the membrane.

  • @magneticwindows Thanks! I had a very similar problem (o, p, and power off weren't working) and I was able to fix it this way!

  • @magneticwindows Thanks! I'm going to try that. My "a" button is really messed up so I'm hoping your advice will work!! :)

  • @geeiang my A button is also really messed up.. did you replace the membrane?

  • Hi, first id like to thank you for sharing this technique, even tough its the first time you do this it sounds very logical. I'm at the time very frustrated with my blackberry the letter "Q" wont function and sometimes i get double keys like "uo" "hk" etc... Do you think that if i replace the membrane i can get it to function correctly? iv tried every other follow trough in google...

  • I think u should first let the phone dry completely and if that didn't solve the problem you can try the procedure shown in the video and change your phones pcb membrane. If that didn't help then probably your phone's circuit board is damaged

  • @Manimanimm

    damet garm agha

  • @Manimanimm Hi, my green call button doesn't work. I disassembled my keypad and tried puttin a new keypad in but the green call button still doesn't work. Do you think getting a new membrane will do the trick?

  • @sami66667 Hi, I think changing the membrane could solve your problem unless your phone's circuit board is damaged.

  • @Manimanimm Yes I replaced the membrane and it worked! Btw, i put a new keyboard in but now the bezel doesn't fit...even when i try my old keyboard and put the bezel in it still doesnt fit...should i order a new bezel?

  • i brought my phone with me in the shower and this isnt the first time i did so.. once i got out of the shower and checked my phone i unlocked it and i barely touched any buttons and it would go crazy ... how do i fix this problem? PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPP .. i looked on the internet and found that i might have to clean the keys and dismantle my phone? i dont want to ship it away to get fixed because i know how much of a hassel and time it takes to fix ...

    ANY SUGGESTIONS????

  • hii

i was wondering if its the same process changing the membrane on every blackberry?

  • I really wish you would've actually shown us how you installed back on the membrane. :/

  • great video my friend, tanks im from Venezuela.

  • did your keypad had this problem where by it doubles or triple type any key whenever you type ?..does changing the membrane helps ?..or do i need to change the entire keypad ?

  • both blue label or grey goose will do the work,, your call bro

  • What kind of alcohol my friend?

  • Im going to try this fix but will it work for a blackberry 9700 tmobile?

  • @xhyunx Yes it will.
