FLV to DVD: How to burn flash .FLV video to DVD (Video tutorial)

I tried winX. It burned two DVDs that no DVD player can read (in spite of working in my comp). I read, among experienced rippers on a forum: "I doubt there are few if any here who use winX, and none who will recommend it". That was the moderator speaking. After that, I removed it.

I've been going through rippers and one after another fails for one reason or another. One won't resize and the controls I need are off screen. Two, in spite of being called "embarassingly easy", are so complex it takes an engineer to use them. I wasn't born with all that knowledge like most were. The DVDs I did manage to burn, though they play in my comp DVD deck, are not recognised by neither mine nor my neighbor's DVD player. I hope this one is better.

@burdetterandall It's a piece of crap, too. What's that verticle graph on the left? It's not covered in the guide. You can't tell whether or not it's doing anything. Since these damn things take so dloody long in the first place, it's important to know it's actually doing something. When I find something that works, it's coming off.

@TheMrBlinx the vertical graph on the left is how much space it will take up on the disk. you can change the quality in order to fit more video on the disk. I burn hundreds of DVDs and it hasn't failed me yet. Yes, it takes a long time, but it works and its free. To make it play in any DVD player click on project settings>video> then change the target format to NTSC. It works. Reply and let me know if you have any more problems with it.

@burdetterandall We'll see. I just got one called "Replay Converter" and I want to see what it can fo as well. As for it beingn free, so what? I'm on my fourth free converter now. It's not freeware, it's "crippleware". Just like YTD, it's rigged to run slow so you'll buy the pro version.

well, winx dvd author converts avi, mp4, flv, mkv, m2ts, m4v, wmv, mpeg... to dvd. and users can fully customize their videos, like adding dvd menu, title menu. very fast (you could make comparation or test).

Yes you can use Replay Converter to burn them to DVD. It should work really easily!

Yes - first flv video on the list is the first one on the dvd.

AVI works well. There are a few other formats that will work - but AVI is the one I use the most.

Not sure why you aren't getting any audio. WHy not check with tech support - they will want to know what your settings are.

Great program. I've had a problem at times when you put several flv's in the list and choose burn to dvd and I've had an error saying "an error occurred and this program needs to close which made all of the conversions I had waited to burn gone. Maybe my computer, I dunno. But I have successfully burned several dvd's with success. I recommend it

like a dvd disk holds only 120 mins of movies. if a movie is more than that like a movie is 132 mins long and it doesn fit on the dvd disc only 120 can i make two part

how many video clips you can ad?

I think you are only limited by the duration - i.e. you can't put more video clips on a dvd than the dvd will hold. Make sense.

Hi - I asked the Replay Converter to answer this - he said:

So, I assume they want to convert their files to VOB and then copy the VOB file to the DVD? Well, technically when RM creates a DVD, it first creates VOB files and then burns them to a DVD. Not sure why they don't just use the DVD burn function in RC to burn to DVD. If they just want to save their files in DVD format, then I recommend them to use the MPEG-2(DVD) target format in RC.

Well you can't burn something onto DVD that is bigger than the DVD can hold.

does your files have to be formatted into flash or any other format before it is able to be burned into a DVD? because I have Flash Files.

No - you don't need to convert the videos before choosing "burn to dvd" the program will do that for you.

I agree with you completely. I love this video since you are explaining it verbally instead of watching someone typing and making mistakes and constantly backspacing.
