He diden't dance. It's a Musical, there are two parts in Musicals: One part is the Story, and the other one is the Music and the Dance. The Dance is even the same like the Story, the Dance is only retell the Story.

I hope you understand, but I'm from Germany and want to explain it to you. Sorry for my worse English^^°
