@666Kaca Young Kain is in Blood Omen 1. He kills the guardians, makes his choice at the pillars, and raises his vampire army. That's the BO1 ending. BO2 is what happens as he's raising that army. BO2 actually begins with his army being defeated by the Hylden Lord (AKA The Sarafan Lord). In the original timeline, this didn't happen - but the events of Defiance changed that timeline, making it possible (by causing the Hylden Lord's release).

Raziel had one last chance to prevent Blood Omen 2 but missed the oppitunity in his moment of weakness; he'd killed Janos once, he couldnt do it again.
I dont understand why Varador is still alive in BO. Some say its a paradox so Defiance only influenced BO2? So what I get of this is, BO2 happens after another Defiance where Varador is not dead. Can someone explain?

This event was supposed to be shown, or at least, explained in Defiance, but they had to cut it. But mainly, thats why Vorador would be alive, and thanks to that, he would create a new generation of vampires, that would coexist with Kain, and form his army, which would be defeated by the sarafan lord, and in the end of the game, reduced to nothing, leaving the scenario free for SR1
Seeing how Janos takes this much hit with the purifier blade makes me understand how could he survive all the time with the sarafan while raziel was forging the blade with fire in SR2.

Dude, I was able to beat Janos before he could even THINK of summoning any Hylden to help him. Of courst it helps when you have Raziel's life bar at the fullest that it's possible at being. (Having collected every health talisman in the Game as both Kain and Raziel) and I happen to be able to kick everyone's ass at this game. If it was two player, I had X-Box Live, and I was battling you I'd win hands down because I've got a secret that is a lot of help. And, like all secrets, I'm not telling.

Okay. Is this a recording of you playing this game? If so I'm sorry to say this but, I did better. Don't use jsut one Reaver. USE THEM ALL! Especially the Dark Reaver to turn yourself insivable and then slash and dodge when Possessed Janos tries to retalitate and repeat. Use all the Reavers and their individual Reaver spells to take him down.

I only used the spirit reaver and I took him down at my first try. He isn't difficult and he has 4 or 5 five attacks. Just remember them and you can easily beat him.
The first time I saw the end scene, I was thinking, why doesn't Raziel just rip out Janos' heart (again)? Then once the Hylden were delt with he could just put it back in, Janos would be alive and problem solved.
Been a while since I've seen magic in the Legacy of Kain. Other than Vorador teleporting, I think it was Kain frying you in the first Soul Reaver. Magic was left right and center in Blood Omen, though.

Janos didn't die in defiance. at the end of that the Hylden use Janos to open the gate to the demon dimension which allows the events of BO2 to take place. then at the end of BO2 Janos isn't killed he goes to the demon dimension
as far as playing the game goes this game sucked. all the forges were the same, all the combos were simplistic and nearly identical to kain's and you don't get the same kind of freedom as you get in sr1. sr2 sucked as well but at least they were creative with the forges.

mechanically this game sucked while playing as raziel... raziel gameplay worked totally in soul reaver 1,but it sucked in defiance... as for kain,the gameplay in this one ruled
janos has always been praised as the 1st of vampires, that hes the most powerful of them, and yet he alwats gets owned, by the serafan, by the hylden lord in the end of blood omen, just catches him by the throat and throws him into the hell made for the hylden. here, and so on, really dissapointing
fair enough, but if the hylden lord, leader of the sarafan could so easly own him than Im sure the absence of the staff wouldnt have made a difference to the outcome. I just want him to be as cool as he looks :D
You know what the LOK series needs? A prequel. The explanation of the war leading up to the banishment of the Hylden and the curse upon the vampires. Of course, that means a whole new cast of characters, which means no more Simon Templeman.
I personally prefer it being left rather ambiguous. A lot of it was explained in the murals Raziel encountered in Defiance. I don't think that kind of lore is as important as the current events in Nosgoth. Although, I do agree with you in the case that the LoK series needs another installment! It's going on five years now, give us something! Rawr!
I think it was implied that the vampires were probably wrong to banish the Hylden (they were serving the Elder God at the time but didn't know it). It actually sounds like the Hylden were immortal, and that's why the EG wanted them gone (as he later did with the vampires).
I doubt they were always so angry and deranged either. Centuries in a hell dimension will do that to you.
Submit a video response of it done better, I'll accept it. The point of the videos is to catalog the storyline, not as a skill demo or speedrun or whathaveyou. Winning in a skillful way didn't make the priority list.

Please, could anyone expalin to me why Kain, with the help of unawere Raziel, is going to alter the future? I know Razie is deluded and lured by all the time...but Kain knows smth and to the certain moment he keeps it under the mask of brute and tormentor. So what's at stake?
1: The Hylden Lord doesn't know that. In fact, he's probably unaware of the Elder God's existence.
2: The Elder God probably just said that to get Raziel to trust him. It's unclear how Raziel became a wraith, but it's probably because of his destiny as the Soul Reaver's own soul.
I'm fairly certain that the game specifically says the immortality the Hylden granted was to break their ties to the wheel of fate and sever their link with their god. If they didn't know what effect it would have, why give your blood enemy immortality? That's pretty poor planning, right there. :)

I beat Janos in under 3 minutes flat!, here are some tips, this battle will be EASY if you follow my instructions.First, when you see Janos go up into the air about to do the sonic boom or whatever it's called that is unavoidable, TK him fast! don't go in combat mode, just run around and wait until he has a headache.Janos will summon Hylden time to time, so keep slashing at the hylden and charge your reaver, than use it's special to take down 1/4 of his health.
at least janos will summon hyldens which can be easily knocked out with 2 strokes, and you can replenish your life. kain's battle with the elder god is all or nothing! =(

Janos didn't die in defiance. at the end of that the Hylden use Janos to open the gate to the demon dimension which allows the events of BO2 to take place. then at the end of BO2 Janos isn't killed he goes to the demon dimension

as far as playing the game goes this game sucked. all the forges were the same, all the combos were simplistic and nearly identical to kain's and you don't get the same kind of freedom as you get in sr1. sr2 sucked as well but at least they were creative with the forges.

mechanically this game sucked while playing as raziel... raziel gameplay worked totally in soul reaver 1,but it sucked in defiance... as for kain,the gameplay in this one ruled

janos has always been praised as the 1st of vampires, that hes the most powerful of them, and yet he alwats gets owned, by the serafan, by the hylden lord in the end of blood omen, just catches him by the throat and throws him into the hell made for the hylden. here, and so on, really dissapointing

You know what the LOK series needs? A prequel. The explanation of the war leading up to the banishment of the Hylden and the curse upon the vampires. Of course, that means a whole new cast of characters, which means no more Simon Templeman.

I personally prefer it being left rather ambiguous. A lot of it was explained in the murals Raziel encountered in Defiance. I don't think that kind of lore is as important as the current events in Nosgoth. Although, I do agree with you in the case that the LoK series needs another installment! It's going on five years now, give us something! Rawr!

I think it was implied that the vampires were probably wrong to banish the Hylden (they were serving the Elder God at the time but didn't know it). It actually sounds like the Hylden were immortal, and that's why the EG wanted them gone (as he later did with the vampires).
I doubt they were always so angry and deranged either. Centuries in a hell dimension will do that to you.

The sarafan had Moebius' staff, which disables vampires. He was helpless. And the Hylden Lord is pretty darn powerful himself. :P

1: The Hylden Lord doesn't know that. In fact, he's probably unaware of the Elder God's existence.
2: The Elder God probably just said that to get Raziel to trust him. It's unclear how Raziel became a wraith, but it's probably because of his destiny as the Soul Reaver's own soul.

I'm fairly certain that the game specifically says the immortality the Hylden granted was to break their ties to the wheel of fate and sever their link with their god. If they didn't know what effect it would have, why give your blood enemy immortality? That's pretty poor planning, right there. :)

I beat Janos in under 3 minutes flat!, here are some tips, this battle will be EASY if you follow my instructions.First, when you see Janos go up into the air about to do the sonic boom or whatever it's called that is unavoidable, TK him fast! don't go in combat mode, just run around and wait until he has a headache.Janos will summon Hylden time to time, so keep slashing at the hylden and charge your reaver, than use it's special to take down 1/4 of his health.

at least janos will summon hyldens which can be easily knocked out with 2 strokes, and you can replenish your life. kain's battle with the elder god is all or nothing! =(
