  • LOVE! the cult! these songs are so perfect!

  • Ian sorta looks like Tommy Wisseau in this video lol

  • The Cult was underrated (like Skid Row) just because there was all other perfect bands at the same time (U2, Metallica...)

They just born on the wrong time... we just need new bands like that to save the rock...

  • Plugging in to NordickTrack, this is my workout music :P

  • I turn off the lights on my BMW HP2 at 3 AM on the turnpike and stomp down under the stars with this on the skull candy

  • Good song, but that riff is ripped straight from AC/DC's "Rock N Roll Singer"

  • @cyclist911 thats rick rubin saying "hello"

  • @cyclist911 nothing new in the world! they ALL "rip"! lead belly called he wants ALL his riffs back!

  • @cyclist911 If you wanna hear an even Far more obvious rip-off by The Cult, ck out that dirty rock star tune, THAT is 100% The Rolling Stones' Undercover of The NIGHT.

  • Don't kno if any of you know this...Ian did a short stint with "the Doors" or I should say he was doing lead vocals with the "21st Century Doors" A few years ago with Robbie Kreiger, and Ray Manzierk, but the drummer took them to court and tried to sue them....He did a AWESOME job tho channeling the essence of Jim Morrison...it was a good show...he even dressed like Jim !!!

  • Oh, we know. But we've tried so hard to forget.

  • Taller Danzig?

  • if your song kix-ass you dont need $1,000,000 to make a video...

if the whole album kix-ass, you call it 'Electric'.....;)/

  • 'I love you every hour, crazy 'bout you yeah, crazy bout you yeah', one of the best and most underrated bands in the rock history, they deserved to reign, what a riff what an anthem

  • the cult make me rock 24 hours on new year eve

  • FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic track from a classic band. What were they? Goths? I had a few Goth mates and they were cool dudes!

  • the cult reminds me of long trips with my cousin

  • this is awesome!

  • "Wild Flower!" sounds like "White Power!"

  • FUCK YES!!! its not rock or its not new wave and its between and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think the title of this album "Electric" is a secret tribute to AC/DC. There are other songs on this album are very similar to AC/DC's riffs and style.

Yea, so they ripped of AC/DC's riff. So what? They did something new with it and it sounds great. AC/DC ripped off a couple of The Stones riff's here and there (Who Made Who is taken straight from Honky Tonk Women - which they covered earlier in their career).

  • This is one of the simplest and catchiest riffs I've ever heard

  • @mikamee14 Obviously, you have never heard the "catchy riff" in AC/DC's Rock and Roll Singer....tell me if The Cult did not totally rip the riff off?

  • the lead singer looks like Tommy Wiseau.

  • I keep headbanging. Please help me stop! lol! :-D

  • Best cure against all kind of pain...Pure dope!

  • sehr gut danke

  • Fantastic

  • To dislike this is Dickful.

  • Volume on YouTube is nowhere near high enough to do this justice.

    My heart beats faster.

  • is that duff mccgahan ?

  • @gladiator0711 No it's Billy Duffy

  • @adriantino Divide 672,000,000 by 13,000 12 year olds who listen to Bieber 12 times a day, and well I think u get the point....

  • @adriantino Wow my math was way off. Its more like Actually 153,500 12 year olds listening to Bieber 12 times a day. (For a year). Which sounds about right.

  • @adriantino explain why are you bothering us with that information??????????????

  • Yeah, this riff really sounds exactly like AC/DC's Rock n' Roll Singer... But still a f***ing awesome song.

  • @vthunder39 If I'm not mistaken, ACDC and The Cult shared a producer about this time.

  • hardcore....

  • Muito bom mesmo !

  • what a simple but powerful song. I'd say one of the best ever

  • CULT FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song :)

  • A long time Cult fan. I took a good friend to see Aerosmith Just Push Play tour in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Theatre. I flew from Texas and he drove from California - we met in Las Vegas. Toys in the Attic Tour was my first concert. Anyway, Just Push Play was a good show, so when they came through Dallas a few months later - I picked up a ticked for myself to catch Aerosmith again and guess who opened the show? Yep, The Cult. They sounded great - played em all!!! The Cult Rocks!!!!

  • Goddamned!!!!! What a song!!!!

  • Awesome band, Awesome song !!!!!!!!

  • bwaaa i wanna cryyy

  • Wait a second ill put the best song of theres on my yt one second!

  • im a wolf child girl and im howling for you. wild flower

  • Loooove them!

  • Uhhhhh I so remember crankn' the Cult over & over at our parties in the late 90's....making luv to Wildflower. Ah good times:)

  • I don't care about the lyric or can't hear exactly what he sing. I just love what I hear, the music, the band and the voice that make it very sensitive to my emotion enough for me to think of someone with me everywhere I walked in town. That's how great this song is. :-)

  • Um 2 million views is hardly under-rated

  • What a gay can do isn't it?

  • One of the best rock songs ever!!!

  • my favourite song when i was a teenager... i was so f*cked up and a WILDFLOWER

  • hey what album should i buy Sonic Temple or Love?

  • @VAROCKER1 They both rock, but Love is definitely their best album. Sonic Temple is good, but they we're trying to sound really commercial during that time. When Love came out, they weren’t that big and didn't know how successful the album would be, so it's much more natural and raw sounding, more original too. Love is one of my all time faves!

  • @VAROCKER1 Sonic Temple

  • In your face Lady Gargler, Nickleback and all the other poseurs pretending to rock. This is the real thing.

  • I still swoon when I hear his voice,,, yummy

  • I still swoon when I hear his voice,,, yummy

  • 75 people are domesticated flowers with flacid stamens.....

  • @toolkien you said stamens...ha ha ha ... biology rules!

  • THIS BAND ROCKS..its like rolling stones vocals with AC/DC instrumentals. FREAKIN AWSOME

  • @UBERGEEKZILLA the Doors vocals. The guy sounds more like fucking Jim Morrison

  • If you get a chance.......check out their extended/Euro-Mix of this song with a little more guitar intro.

I have not been able to find it anywhere else since I bought the Extended/Euro Mix cd in the early 90's.

  • Cult! I've been listening to The Cult for 20 years and still haven't got tired of their perfect music.

  • Who the f... are those 75 moth..fu....s who dislike this song???

  • love the Cult, great video!

  • The Cult is rock

  • She Sells Sanctuary and this song ~ the two reasons The Cult still occupies my heart after all these years. Still rocks compared to crap today.

  • Who's shaking the tamborine?

  • @CoastGuardIDC Ian, but not in this video. Have you ever seen them? Great show!!

  • @glimmertwinsproduct ...lol..thanks.....no, I've never had the good fortune of seeing them live.....I know they kick ass in live concert....

  • I know I'm not the first one to notice this...but this riff is directly lifted from Rock and Roll Singer from High Voltage by ACDC. This drummer is definitely Phil Rudd's understudy....and so much better than Matt Sorum...this album swung...it's funny but Sorum degraded both the Cult and GNR after he joined....

  • Great song this bnd comes closest to the feel of pure 70's kick ass rock n roll.

  • Christ, I havent heard this song in years. I'd forgotton how fucking great this band is. Time to hit up I-tunes!

  • mock n roll alright haggis

  • Wolf clan Cherokee?

  • Pini...you're my Wild Flower, baby!

  • That guitar riff throughout this song : both killer and pure sex.

  • electric was when the cult rocked

  • One of the most underrated bands ever!

  • I have been saying that for a long time. I agree! They have it all, not sure why they didn't take the world like Guns and Roses, Queen, etc....

  • @jan279

Thats why I try to use there music in my gameplay vids man. My dad is a huge fan so you know I had no choice not to love them!

  • @jan279 underrated ? 2,515,880 views, you sure? O.o

  • @ComptGeorges ..yes, when you compare it to 3 billion hits for Lady CaCa....just my observation...

  • Erinnert mich total an den Film "The Business".

  • Better than prozac, lexipro or viagra. My feel good medicine!!! Never lets me down.

  • "oh my soul"-cffc

  • @gypssychild31 I was just thinking how much he reminded of Jim Morrison

  • It makes me want to smash stuff and fuck stuff all at the same time!

  • @srainey89

    Love it!!

  • Love it!!

  • epic.

  • dont forget Lez Warner, drummers like this dont come along often.

  • Love this, I think this was The Cult at their best.

  • best song ever

  • could it be the reincarnation of jim morrosin

  • allriot haggis

  • Great video. Billy Duffy, sadly enough is one of the most underrated guitarists in rock. Ian Astbury is fucking amazing.

  • Slash and Myles Kennedy should cover this song !!! :))

  • Love The Cult! It's surprising how close this riff and beat is to ACDC's Rock N Roll Singer!

  • Absolutely love Ian Astbury, rock just doesn't get much sexier than Ian <3

  • Cool!!!

BTW, you might try checking out a rare version of WILDFLOWER here on YouTube, on the internet radio show Fizz Radio Boogaloo. The episode is titled "Fizz Radio Boogaloo: Your Worst Horrors", and I believe the live track in taken from the little-known-and remembered Canadian TV show "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" from the late 80s.

Just type in the Youtube search box "Fizz Radio Boogaloo: Your Worst Horrors"

  • That's right,real rock!!!

  • The absolute perfect example of 3 chord garage band rock and roll. Doesn't get any better than this!

  • This is the first song I banged my head to. At 12 years old. Still love it.

  • one of the greatest simplest riffs of all time!

  • the cult RISE studio is the best of our life time and we are all going to DIE

  • Yep, Astbury fronted the doors for a while they even done an EP

  • Real Rock, fuck that other over produced cyber shit they're droppin' today... No fucking soul. Listen you little fools, listen...

  • lead guitarist looks like cris angel

  • I assumed you had meant with the Doors while Jim was still around. I found the re-union videos. He does make a good Jim, but it's not quite the same. I love both the Doors and the Cult, but I still prefer the original Doors. Kinda like Shane West as Darby, it's a good imitation but it's not the same Germs.

  • Amazing performers. Astbury has performed with original members of the Doors and done some Official cover songs with the original members. Enjoy what you have access to.

  • Yeah he has performed with the Doors. Can't you see Morrison in him? Seem alike in many ways.

  • Take a listen young folks this is real rock music, not that corporate crap you hear today!

  • @Mojosfire Outstanding!! My sentiments exactly.

  • @Mojosfire Amen

  • @moogoo68 :)

  • @Mojosfire you'd be suprised if u knew how many of us young ppl love this shit dude !!!!!! :)

  • @sirpuffsalot I'd say you're off to a great start in life! Glad to see you have much better taste in music, than the total crap these stuff shirt corporates try to load over on us all these days! :)

  • @Mojosfire It's sad. Mainstream Rock-n-Roll died about a decade ago.

  • @sciamhach My feelings exactly!

  • @Mojosfire you are so right my friend!!!!!

  • @Mojosfire I dont know this is a very commercial song in case you havent noticed.

  • @NirvanaNerd364 It's still a hell of lot better, then the crap their spewing out to us today! :)

  • @Mojosfire NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT

  • Damn I miss this......

  • And Mr. Duffy ain't lookin' too bad either: great guitarist: these guys always put on a wonderful show!

  • I never noticed this before, but Ian Astbury has more than a passing resemblance to Jim Morrison

  • @erikhai1

He actualy did perform with the Doors

  • @pishta66

Astbury performed with the Doors???? I'm finding that REALLY hard to believe.

  • @erikhai1 Its true 100%

  • sexy hot

  • I saw these guys at 4th and B in San Diego, and when they played this song, they rocked it so hard!!! Sexiest song in the world!!!

  • @MsPilgore IAN IS SEXY!!!

  • ACDC and The Cult = Less is more. You can Feel the Energy Way more.

  • the drummer is wearing a German Iron Cross - nice

  • great song and a great riff to play on guitar.

  • sounds kinda like Danzig

  • All I know is they fucking kick ass!!!!

  • @boltonox Shhhhhhh...... you're coming off a bit stupid now, shhhh...... just go to sleeeep

  • @Sphoenix1977 LMFAO these kids are so fucking stupid, pick up an instrument before you start commenting on music.. this is the dumbest thing i've ever heard, how IN THE FUCK do people compare this to ACDC LOL Braindead!

  • @BradG1992 The reason AC/DC is being mentioned is because the Cult gave their producer and sound engineer a copy of Back In Black and said "Make sure the guitars sound exactly like that!".If you listen to their earlier stuff it is much more like the Cure, sound wise. And kid,I'm a guitarist for nearly 30 years so please don't tell me.I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • The Phrase " Less is More" Compliment's ACDC and The Cult. Sure they both use power chords some are simple and some are not but you can feel it way more. You can feel the music way more. It Hit's you. That's why i love those two bands. The Energy just hit's you.

  • woooooooo

  • @Sphoenix1977 LOL, one stole the idea from another, so that is totally different, anyway, im glad they stole cause the song is awesome.

  • Check out "Rock 'N' Roll Singer" with ACDC.

Even they share the same basic riff its 2 different songs.

Still cant decide which one makes me wanna drink the most beer :)

  • One of the first records I ever bought, and we all thrashed the hell out of it! Also huge ac/dc fan since dirty deeds and they were never the same sound or ever compared they just are.....BOTH Awesome.... get over it all you wanna be muso experts who the fuck cares-it would be a sad day indeed to be without these great bands!!!!!

  • Haha those band fights make me laugh !

ACDC vs. The Cult, Christina Aguilera vs. Britney Spears, Blur vs. Oasis, Rolling Stones vs. The Beatles, that all make me think about the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob stuffs.

    Stop being such groupies !!

  • Seems like the headbanging in the vid is a little over exaggerated but otherwise still a great song

  • acdc better!

  • Gotta get myself a pair of those leather pants! =)

  • @Sphoenix1977 - Funny, I was just listening to AC/DC when a friend posted a link to this song on Facebook ^^
