@galgia12345 In A L I E N Giger reduced the arms to stumps and removed the back legs completely from the original sculpt as he said it resembled a dinosaur too much.

The chestburster in the original Alien was armless but arms were added in Aliens to facilitate the creature crawling its way out of its host's corpse. This concept was abandoned in subsequent films.
