  • To believe in most of the stuff tested on the show you have to be naive and/or just value comfort over truth. Not that believers are stupid in general, they just value intuition, comfort, etc over evidence sometimes. I'm surprised someone promoting the supernatural would upload these videos, thanks anyways.

  • 1:26 "Duhhhhhhh..."

  • I love watching Randi expose these hoaxter, losers for what they really are. Pure ownage.

  • Why art there believers in the world? Not even ancient beast believes in a God.

Fairies don't exist Werewolves and vampires no elves no undead no. Do you agree believers of God? well fine here is the bad part for you when you say that these creatures were first written down in a book known as the bible. For example when Jesus died all graves shallow open and the dead walked the earth just to mourn Jesus Christ.(undead) and the other ones find yourself. I know the truth as I've read your books.

  • @Problematicidea...my point is the one God makes in His Word...the road is narrow that leads to Heaven and there are few who find it...no man will enter in on his own terms..we must turn our back om our sin and turn our hearts toward God...Randi has not done that..he is a homosexual

  • @Xialablu..he is sharp but he has NOT discovered the Truth..the Truth is JESUS CHRIST...Randi is a homosexual ...that's a perversion of the Truth

  • @I21GenieLee

    Homosexuality is a sin.

Sin is disobedience to what God commands. God sees all sin as equal in his eyes.

    You sin. You pervert truth.

    What's your point?

  • @I21GenieLee Now that's the worst case of verbal diarrhoea I've seen all week, I'd rate that a type 6 on the Bristol Stool Scale.

  • The font used for James Randi's name looks like Dream Theater's logo.

  • 240p power!

  • i was raped by the intro

  • @alexgrinkov LOL

  • @ciaobellakate Its Part Of The Humour!... Its The Same Suspicous Accusing Paranoid Story Between A White And Black Dude Looking At Each Other Down The Street.

  • What they are doing is just cold reading..Such bullshit.

  • Why would any Psychic be willing to go on a show like this? Odds are they will get busted.

  • @CarpeMetus

Randi is fraud because he fed poor mediums with misinformation about what the show was going to be about :\

  • @alexgrinkov If they really possessed psychic abilities or connections to the all-seeing dead, they'd have known if Randi was feeding them misinformation.

  • @alexgrinkov

And the "mediums" are feeding bullshit to people who are desperate and in grief.

  • @alexgrinkov shouldn't the spirits have warned the mediunms then ? O.o

  • @ShahnamPersia U.. FUCKING... RASCIST!

  • @horrificpunkfreak

They're not being racist, they're just pointing out the facts. I agree, they never get a vision of a rare first name but always a common name like 'Ben' to increase the chances of people thinking it applies to them.

  • I have been given the name John or Smith. Is there someone here who has a connection with that name?

  • @spyu

umm.......a lot of people from Burma (my native country) have renamed themselves 'John' and/or 'Smith' after seeking citizenship. I think your going somewhere with this...... O.O

  • Sadly there will never be another like Randi to carry on after he is gone.

  • what's the deal with all the masonic symbols ?

  • @iggyds89 was wondering the same thing lol

  • Randi is quickly becoming a hero of mine. Please keep debunking these frauds and continue your quest for truth :)

  • Beavis "She passed away from vagina?" heh,heh heh heh, heh heh!!!!

  • harry potters real enemy...James Randi

  • @youtu521 edward cullens real enemy....james randi, he'd prove that vampires don't fucking sparkle.

  • I've been given the name of BS, can someone here tonight either is BS or BS has a close connection with you! lol

  • So transparent, if the audience just listen to what she says.. had thick hair but thinned when she was close to death. hair thins all through your life, at its thinnest when you're old. heart condition, shortness of breath. true for 90% of all elderly people.

  • @thespiritconnect are you uploading this to support the claims of psychics? Probably a wrong pick.

  • the irony that a James Randi video is being used as an add for a spiritual arts website.. (via the overlaid text on the video)

  • thanks SO MUCH for the uploads!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why do the spirits always want to play 20 questions? Why can't they just say hey tell that guy in the audience I know him!

  • @Parstices because spirits are a lie. its cold reading that misleads people into believing it, im sure you know that though, since youre watching JR.

  • @Parstices To quote randi himself,"It's more like 2,000 questions".

  • I've met Him in person..... he's great man with a awsome sense of humor. And a big heart..... I met Mr. Randi at the liqour store.... I was short 50cents and he turned my change into silver dollar..... (giving me the 50cents extra i needed.) before this experiance, I had no idea who he was. He told me and I didn't believe him til i saw this on ytube later that same day. Been a huge fan ever since.

  • @omnilateral when did you meet Randi? was it in florida?

    (I'm in Australia).

  • hahah we might have 2 links here...there so fishing

  • "We’re working under difficult situations…" yes you are scammy, ass warts. Please die you parasites.

  • 4:30 Heart trouble and thining hair, that's amazing! Heart desease is only the #1 killer in the country... and thining hair late in life? How many people have that!?

  • was this a british show? i never knew randi had a series in britain

  • @JoshMufc101 verrrrrry early 90s apparently. was only 1 at the time or im sure id have loved to watch it XD

  • why did a community of psychics post this video on youtube? you'd think they would try to suppress this sort of stuff

  • @Phonyender psychics are renowned for their inconsistency.

  • This was a good series - thanks for uploading

  • @DTX85 I know right!! What's up with that can't trust no one these days anymore

  • whats with the illuminati pyramid and all seeying eyes in the background??

  • Occam's razor.

  • If the guests know this show consists entirely of Randi tearing wholes through their work and exposing fraud, why do these people so eagerly participate? It could fairly damaging to their reputation, assuming they're not actors.

  • scariest intro to a non-horror movie ever

  • Little known fact: James Randi toured with Alice Cooper on the Billion Dollar Babies tour in '73-'74 as one of the characters in Alice's stage show.

  • Look up subliminal advertising this is not naturally occuring. It works on some people and some it doesnt can you explain that. Why do children love Ronald McDonald and his hamburgers so much. That to me is a form of magic. The images associated with the products have convinced people in their minds that they want whats being shown to them.

  • If I was psychic I would never expose myself. Theres no telling how many people would come out of the woodworks after your talents. A real psychic would probably be forewarned not to accept James Randi's offer. Which is why we see only bullshit psychics like Sylvia Browne.

  • @supreme12 or psychics dont exist and its bull shit, I know which one sounds more realistic.

  • @ronocko Anything is possible sounds more realistic.

  • @supreme12 What colour is the sky in your world? and do the fairies pixies unicorns and other mystical creatures get along or have discriminative wars? Yes you shouldn't rule anything out as an absolute because we haven't searched the entire universe but there are no psychics on earth and I'll state that openly because if there are they refuse to show themselves to be tested in which case you only have their word they are psychic which means nothing to me or anyone who cares about the truth.

  • @ronocko First lets make this clear Im not psychic and not claiming to be. But if I was psychic why would I care what anybody else thought unless Im trying to profit from people believing in my abilities. Yes I still believe its real I just doubt all the ones who claim it on TV. People like Sylvia Browne and John Edwards with TV shows and shit are very suspect to me. Trust me brother we see stuff all the time magic is all around us. If you've ever been to McDonalds you have proved my point.

  • @supreme12 "Trust me brother we see stuff all the time magic is all around us" - I lol'd reminds me too much of the ICP song miracles... anyway No I don't think there's magic around us that would imply that its not naturally occurring which we can prove things are, show me evidence of anything magical happening.

  • LOL. Hey, vid-poster... Randi hates your website.

  • @Msjanedoe124

    your a psychic XD

  • Looking at those bumpers, I wonder if the poster realizes Randi is subtly debunking these charlatans.

  • im getting 5 of the top 10 most common names in britian....

  • It's coming through, it's coming! Yes, does anyone reading this comment know a Davinderajackalsinghamargumbalakarandan? No?! How strange, it's a pretty normal Sri Lankan name.

  • She draws young Leonardo Da Vinci.

  • I really enjoy watching Randi and Joe Nickell expose charlatans like this

  • Any trickster or conjurer that goes on this show is making a huge mistake.

  • Where did James Randi disappear to? We could use a voice of reason in these increasingly hysterical times of ours...

  • @ScarletHarlotry Well, he is 82. Maybe he retired. Hope not.

  • @DarkeningSkies1 i think he still lectures and i think he is active within his foundation

  • James Randi is the man

  • You need to upload a high quality version of this!

  • Just because these guys were all frauds doesn't necessarily mean psychics may not exist. If they existed (a) there life would be hell and would kill themselves or go insane. Imagine living a life with all the 'gifts' so called psychics claim. Would be horrible. (b) they wouldn't draw attention to themselves by taking up Randi's challenge. If a true psychic were discovered the government would be on their asses in no time, they'd be too much of an asset to leave their sight.

  • @JenniMystic

right, so the only reason a real psychic hasnt claimed the million is coz theyre too scared...sigh

  • @JenniMystic Well I dont think there is any reason to think that would happen. A true psychic would make a lot of money and have alot of fame if they could prove there abilities. The goverment doesn't work quite that why.

  • "We might have 2 links here". BrilliantXD

  • James Randi is awesome!

  • I'm getting the name 'Smith' -- very strongly. Someone watching this video is either named Smith or has a close connection with a Smith. Now, which one of you is, or knows, a Smith?

  • It's ironic that the man who invented Sherlock Holmes would believe in fairies.

  • @kreskinkun Ya, it's a shame that he became irrational after his wife's death. I guess the death of a loved one hits some people too hard. RIP Doyle.

  • haha the guy at the beginning got owned

  • The Cottingley Fairies look so fake anyway, that you don't need to too much analysis to prove that a hoax is going on. I mean you can immediately see that they are paper cut outs.

  • If Father Christmas was randi's son, he'd challenge him to make a reindeer fly.

What a miserable, cold and unfriendly personality he has, distrusting and doubting people, He will never experience the paranormal no more than a blind man can appreciate the beauty of a rainbow, because the only ESP he has stands for Extra Suspicious Person.

  • @Z1Z12 A claim is either true or not true. An untrue claim does not become true if you just believe in it hard enough. What Randi does is exposing untrue claims. He does not ruin anything, he just shows you that the claims were untrue from the very beginning. If you are upset by that, that only shows that you want to be fooled by these fraudsters. That is not being open-minded, that is being naive.

    /watch?v=T69TOuqaqXI

  • @Z1Z12 I find it funny that you referenced Father Christmas, a (spoilers) made up being to try and show the validity of ESP.

  • @Z1Z12 People like you seriously worry me. These people are frauds bilking people, why shouldn't Randi demand some proof from these charlatans? If they can prove it they can get a million dollars, what do they have to lose? Hell Randi consults with them to figure out how the tests will work to ensure that it can measure what they're looking for.

  • Endless pointless comments (not including this one) from young kids who know nothing about life anyway, who are just a few years away from ba ba blacksheep, to elderly skeptics who should by now have learned to be open minded, bearing in mind the magic discoveries already made in their life time.

Skeptics only THINK psychic phenomena is nonsense,

Psychics KNOW that it is'nt. There's no resolve. Without ESP skeptics will never experience the paranormal, so forget it and leave 'em frustrated.

  • hahahaaaa, at 6:10 the audience member says, everything that steven says rings true but unfortunately the face drawn doesn't... you can see the medium guy thinking, that useless woman doing the sketching is ditched!!!

Yes steven your right, do what you can to sort that out!!!!

    Ha!

  • Heh, so awkward.

  • I wonder why they never receive some weird-ass asian name instead of Taylor.

  • @ShahnamPersia lol yeah...i wonder 8P ;)

  • @ShahnamPersia Yeah, really. Never hear any Xioshus or Takahashis do you? Hell, you don't even get any Padmas nor any Khadijas. Funny how that happens.

  • @ShahnamPersia or some weird-ass persian name.

  • @shwwnn Iran should change it's name back to Persia since most people don't seem to know it's the same place. Instant stealth technology for an entire country. :D

  • @ShahnamPersia Or why astrologers never give ACCURATE predictions..

Or why atheists aren't more prone to lightning strikes.

Or why people that are prayed for don't get better faster than people that havent ben prayed for.

Or why gays don't spontaniously combust as soon as they come out of the closet.

    Or....

  • @Serostern because SCAM and SCAM and SCAM and SCAM.

  • @ShahnamPersia I've questioned the same thing many a time and it's so true. Why not some exotic name?

  • @ShahnamPersia That would be even easier, everyone is named yin sin lin yang kang tang lang and the likes ^^

  • @ShahnamPersia ROFLMAO! But yes great arguement

  • "I am not sure unless I am told" WTF fail

  • I <3 Randi

  • I am amazed well done we need more people like James Randi to keep the bastards honest

  • @cherryblue2017 "I am amazed well done we need more people like James Randi to keep the bastards honest"

It's not just the common garden variety we need help with, scientific papers and patents are riddled with the muck. Things are not helped by 'journal ranking' lists, that are like high score lists in computer games. People are being found to be out right lying about results or who they worked with to climb the list.

Some of these also influence the law and certainly what the public think.

  • Blatant cold reading.

  • Comment removed

  • He sead angina (short for angina pectoris).

A simular show is Penn & Teller: Bullshit! ... but they don't pay the same respect to those that attend the show, and they investigate a lot of other subjects as well, but they are more entertainment based.

Imo most of it is cold reading, guesswork and humbug... though the placebo effect should not be denied ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Did he say vagina?

  • that lady is an excellent artist, but nothing more

and the guy she's with is clearly a gay, and nothing less

  • I wish there are shows like this around now.

  • Randi is one of the most important people of our time.

  • i wonder why you would plaster a website on 'psychic' mediums on a video featuring a famous man who's work involves proving all of them fraudulent.

  • As much as I would like to believe I give thanks to Randi to hold those who claim special powers accountable - like the news I want proof !!! Thanks Mr. Randi.

  • she has drawn that face straight off a scottish bank note lol, its the lord ilay :)

  • Has anyone seen the piramyde with the eye in the center? That is the sign of the Freemasons god Dajjal. Have a look at the one dollar bill. The same sign is there. Even though this man is known as a sceptic person, I am starting to wonder if it isn't an intentional vision he is trying to give. For Freemasons are also known as illuminati.

  • Gosh, I've been given the name of "Smith.' Is there anyone watching YouTube named Smith? ;-)

  • @AmusedChild -- YES! YOU FOUND ME! YOU ARE A PSYCHIC! Want to meet up and have sex?

  • @sabdow You're going to be too tired... ;-)

  • @AmusedChild -- You need a pounding up against the wall.

  • @sabdow That was predictable, too.

  • @AmusedChild Can I pound you too?

  • We need a lot more shows like this now! There should be shows to counter all the mindless tripe in all the paranormal/ghost hunting shows that are on t.v. Anywhere else if someone lied like these "psycics" do and took money for it they'd be prosectuted as frauds and made to pay back the money!

  • I don't think any person of average intelligence and older than 12 could fall for this sort of thing. But apparently this isn't the case, with such an intelligent story writer as Conan Doyle falling for a faerie picture.

  • @Ebuverthebicepcurler Yeah it's almost shocking that something so blatantly false and full of holes would be believed by anyone...but then most of the 6.5 billion people on the planet are religious, so there you have it. Common sense and logic simply do not apply to some areas for most people.

  • @iSOBigD Not just religious people me thinks, even an atheist could believe in the afterlife. It's- I think- a question of intelligence and the will to know the truth. Some smart people will fall for fantasies, because they are willing to believe in something just because they want it to be true.

  • Randi`s great friend Carl Sagan said "I don`t want to believe, I want to know." That says it all for me.

  • I really wish Randi would do another one of these shows; people tend to forget these things unless reminded.

  • @KeeperOfProphecies. Yea but idiots forget too easily. Randi did this show and it's been imprinted into history and atleast there are people still watching it on Youtube.

  • I'm so glad there are finally people being called out on this horseshit. So many people are conned by these assholes.

  • The music is SWEET!

  • lol angina

  • @coffee396 but being skeptical means not accepting things until valid evidence is brought to support it.

Accepting things without understanding proves you aren't really being skeptical. Especially when the claims are that some unexplained (or underexplained) phenomenon is evidence of something paranormal. You can't just fill in the gaps of explanation with whatever you want.

Also calling anyone Nazi's or Hitler on the internet means you automatically lose the argument.

  • I'm wondering now if you're just willfully ignorant about the comment I wrote... I NEVER SAID EVP's WERE TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just saying that scientist haven't came to a commune conclusion about this phenomena yet and I find that interesting, jesus christ ! when are you people gonna understand ?!

  • @coffee396 This will be my last comment.

    1. Yes I know but it certainly sounded as though you were willing to make a leap because there was a gap in understanding (despite many posters here disagreeing with the assertion that there is a gap). I am sorry for misinterpreting, but my comment still stands for anyone who would do that.

    2. Stop typing in all caps and using a million exclamation points. Also again calling people Nazi's and/or Hitler. These things make people not take you seriously.

  • I just can't believe it they're not even original in their cold reading!

  • OMG he began his cold reading so transparently... I'm amazed!

  • Just because scientists can't explain something doesn't mean that any retarded explanation will fit in the place of a proper one.

  • wow calm down, I never said it was really ghost talking, I said that I never read a scientific explanation, we probably agree on the subject so don't be aggressive it's not because you're a skeptic that you're smarter than everybody els, calm down.

  • Why are you telling me to calm down? I'm not being aggressive. Sorry if I gave that impression.

And I never said I was smarter than everybody else.

  • @666brandon666 he even states in a different video that "yes you can believe that it could be some mystical power but if the explanation fits wouldnt that be more reasonable?"

  • EVPs are the recorder picking up stray radio signals and cellphone conversation snippets. The air is packed to the brim with signals nowadays--it's unusual to _not_ get some kind of EVP if you leave the recorders on all night like they do.

  • bahahaha thats funny

  • I don't know, you tell me.

  • Scientists and skeptics can explain EVPs. They could be from a cell phone, radio broadcast, CB, or some other broadcast signal. It could also be just misattributed random noise. It's the priming effect, really. People are primed to hear ghosts, so that's what they hear. That's conjecture, of course, but it's still a logical explanation.

  • scientist actually do explain most evp's. if u want u can google it, wikipiedia even has it.

  • I can't believe my comment was thumbed down, people totally misunderstood me like if I said " Oh yea ? Oh yea ? well what about evp's ??? huh motherfucker can't answer that can you ? huh ?"

that's not what I meant, I did do some research on the subject and, over the Internet, I didn't find any scientific explanation, nothing but assumptions and I find it to be an interesting subject, fwee ! I though we were suppose to have an open mind ?

  • i agree that it's intresting, one of my favrite shows is actually ghost hunters. And i didnt take ur comment to be like that i just was trying to help im sorry if i came off bad. i do however think that the explanations i have seen makes logical sense, when u think that the human brain tries to make known things out of random data, aka matrixing, which is when u tend to see a face out of random picture. also couple that with most these people want to hear ghost's it makes sense to me.

  • It had nothing to do with you, it was against a new bread of skeptics that confuse skeptic and closed minded. I recorded some evp's myself and the voices are extremely clear, however I don't believe that they are dead people, it could be electro magnetic (like most paranormal experiences people have) but I don't have a clear answer and I think it's a fascinating subject.

  • psychics are not mentaly ill but you are if you believe that.

  • Comment removed

  • totally!

  • Randi is our version of Houdini( Houdini was very opposed to psychics and believed them to be scoundrels and scam artists by preying on grief and would often expose or challenge them, the term "Humbug" was used by him which at the time was the same as saying bullshit which is the title of a great show hosted by Penn and Teller).

  • maybe hes the "incarnation" of houdini.

  • Asking if there is a person that is or knows a "William Butler" in the UK is like asking an Indian person if they know a Manish Patel.

  • we may have 2 links here... lol no your just not working together to con i mean pursued i mean show the audience ur tricks .. i mean skills.

  • the lady artist sure has a gift for drawing

  • hahah lol i think the "butler" guy and the "taylor" guy is the same !!! xP

  • 34 is the number you are thinking of right now.

  • omg i was thinking of 36 !!

but its alright !! CLOSE ENOUGH !!!

    xP

  • @pashaahsj You now owe me £50 ($25 is near enough) for your psychic encounter with me.

Sadly my psychic powers tell me I won't be receiving that fee any time soon.

So I must take you to court, but as I am psychic I know the judge won't even entertain a case based on non scientifically proven 'abilities' and you win the case and I am charged £30 in court costs while you go free so I may aswell not bother.

PS: it's the 3 of spades, is that your card.

PPS: don't think of a banana, too late.

  • @Nolebrab you have no idea how weird this is. but i was ACTUALLY thinking of the 3 of spades. ffs, there's something wrong here.... some kind of static energy between your computer and the banana i was thinking about, its making me think about the 3 of spades, i cant explain why because nobody understands it, so there's no point try to do so. but obviously you do understand it !! tell me how this works !!! i'm freaking out here =|

  • I love James Randi. Him and Richard Dawkins have become my role models for rational thinking and the real world and skepticism.

  • When it comes to philosophy, great choice!

If you want to hear logic from some politicians instead of the normal crap look up Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Peter Schiff.

Once I discovered Ron Paul it sparked a passion for politics and economics that I never thought could be possible.

  • How can any "logical" human being buy any of this bullshit. Read a book, study how things work...figure things out for yourselves. Too many people are concerned with the lives of others, deemed celebrities. It is these same people who buy into bullshit like Uri Geller. They become so mesmerized by these celebrities, that they can't smell the bullshit, right in front of their nose. I highly doubt half of these psychics really believe in their own bullshit. They sure can act though. Sure can act..

  • Taylor and Butler are such common names in Britain. I would be more impressed if any of these charlatans chose a more unique or uncommon last name.
