  • HOT!

  • i love those video examples :P

  • im such a wapanese sometimes XD

  • @engeljakob Aren't we all?

Say,how do I say "I was robbed by two men" in japanese?

  • You will learn to speak Japanese naturally by understanding the culture and how the language works, lessons on our videos - youtube.com/watch?v=wfseANZtMNg

  • I just love Japanese!!! thanks for the videos, ARIGATO

  • whats the study greetings and salutations mean? like, when a teacher comes in?

  • Does mata mean see you?

  • @Emmanuel009hax yep i just checked that on google.

  • @goku178 add an r and it says "Matar" which means "to kill" in spanish LOL

  • @Emmanuel009hax "Mata" means "again".

Remember that just like any language Japanese has its own ways to express certain phrases, for example "order a hamburger" is "hanba-ga- ni suru" (or "ni shimasu" in polite form), which literally means "do towards hamburger".

If you want to be really good at Japanese it is essential to really start from the roots and get an understanding for the language's foundation; phrases won't help if you don't know exactly *why* they are written the way they are.

  • Some of the Japanese understandings I understand because I allowed youtube trainers to teach me some of their language.

  • Arigatou...Ganbarimasu

  • Konichiwa

    Etchi Wa Sotchi

    sayonara ..... SHINE !!!

  • HAHAHA so nice

  • I regret I didn't learn this language, I just know the words of Judo and Karatedo practice, this lesson is awesome.

    Arigato, thank you very much.

  • This is very helpful, I hope to at least learn the basics of the Japanese language. I understand reading that Japanese language is another story and that takes alot of time, but the speaking of the language is easier from what I heard. If I'm lucky I will have it down by the end of the year with dedication and practice. Positive attitudes are always helpful. (^_^)

  • it will take more then 1 year to learn japanese pfff lol. take about 5+ years to learn the full language, and you'll still never know it enough

  • Umm...1 year is long enough to learn how to speak the basics of Japanese, I'm not trying to learn every word just the basics. 1 year is long enough to learn the basics of any language, even people who live in Japan do not know every word in Japanese. I don't think it'd take 5 years, maybe learning how to read, speak, and write in Japanese...but not to speak it. But, to become truly fluent in reading, writing, and speaking

Japanese yeah that'd take over 5 years.

  • YEA!!!!

    THIS IS COOL AND AWESOME!!!

    THANKS!!!

    -Jane

  • AJJAJAJAJAJJA THIS IS MY SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MISS YOUUU ALL!!!!... Im doing great in university thanks t you all .... romaiiinn omoshiroiii

  • i really want to learn the japanese language because i like it. is it hard to learn it? i guess i would never be able to write in japanese but at least i want to learn to speak it.

  • well if languages are your easy point then yes once you get the hang of it but then learning to read the kanji is VERY difficult!

  • it's not that hard, once you put your mind to it. At least if you learn hiragana and katakana. it took me like 2 months (procrastinating....) but it once you focus, it's not that hard

  • sorry i'm stupid, i'm really intrested in japaneese and want to go there but im 12 and i havent got a clue what procastinating means, would you mind telling me :) thanks in advance

  • "Procrastinating: delaying a job, a task or something that needs to be done quickly." What I meant was that if I weren't losing so much time in learning japanese I would've learned it sooner. In the mean time "Ganbatte!" Try your best!

  • Konnichiwa! Ya i want to learn Japanese but im 13 so im not very good (at all) but im slowly trying =) This video is very good!

  • It´s not so hard, really, I had to learn hiragana and katakana in almost two weeks, and I don´t know how but I was able...

kanji is a different story, but as hzelgius says, once you focus, it´s easier, you have to beggin with the most elementary kanjis and then increase the difficulty, most of them are a mxture of simple kanji... itos too long lol

well, if you need any help, i can help you at least with basic stuff because i´m just a beginner

  • She looks like the kind of teacher that would whoop your ass if you not paying attention to her class.

  • LMAO! I was just thinkin that! Try falling asleep with her as your teacher! lol

  • wat is the music in the end? seems so good!

  • she has noo expression at all gahhh

  • ejjejjej I think she in nervous .. I know that teacher .. she is sooo crazy and funny ..

  • dear god, this is too fast for me XD

  • Does mini-san mean everyone??

  • i think its mina-san

  • mini san = funny

  • no, that just her name

    Mini is the name and

san is this thingy that you attach to it for reasons. like if you dont know someone to well or so, you use "san" right after you say their name to show your not that close to them.

well from my understanding of it, it does

  • @randomroarnessXD No it's 'mina-san' which means 'everybody'. If it was her own name she wouldn't be adding the 'san' anyhow as that would be considered impolite. Mina-san konichiwa means 'hello everyone' and [Watashi wa] Tanaka Hanako desu means 'I am Hanako Tanaka'. The Japanese put their family names first as this is considered in many regards more important. I hope this is of some help :)

  • thanks dude, looks like i need to start studying jap more

  • This is a preety bad vid because it doesn't say what it means

    ohayoo gozaimasu (good morning)

    you introduce yourself like this:

    hajimemashite

    watashi wa _____ desu

    doozo yoroshikun onegaishimasu

(in the blank that's where your name goes)

  • The introduction is in the next video. Well, there are also other sites that do it, the only problem is that you have no-one to correct you if something is pronounced incorrectly.

  • Comment removed

  • I never said anything negative about what you wrote. I was just pointing out the facts. 1. there are other ways to learn Japanese aside from videos. 2. the introduction portion of the series is in the next video. A problem with learning frmo a site without videos is that the pronunciations you say can be inaccurate. That's all I was saying. Sheesh!

  • i konw i'm sorry if you thought i was trying to say anything but i was putting it out there that i take classes

i know i saw the other vids.

  • you suad good morining how are you doing my name is ____ pleasedto meet you right?

  • *_* coolz

  • who upload this video?Reaaly thank tou u.I rated 5 star

  • I highly recommend a software called 'Human Japanese 2.0'. It's the best introduction to Japanese I could find. You can download the FULL WORKING trial which will function for 7 day. Or you can try it online (Flash needed.) No, I am not an advertiser. I am a Japanese learner who was looking for good learning software. It's also very cheap ($ 20).

  • Oh that program rocks! I recommend it too. Oh and thank you Iseuyuki for uploading this.

  • im not buying stuff when i can learn for free

  • I absolutly love your name.

  • 三二一 Make some noise ^_^ 私羽部尿します日本語です^_^ 私の名前輪七宝です。貴方の名前は何ですか。

the way to learn is familiarize with teh language anime, music and movies its a fun way learning grammar and vocabulary a friend from japanese can teach u well, but for real watching these vids on u tub its lazy, i've learned english just by watching movies cartons and by teh time i was at school i already knew the language ^_^ im romanian :P

  • lol si eu xD but i have to learn better english x'D

de unde esti ? :) eu sunt din bucuresti =D

  • yah i like anime for examples but it herd to learn rom it lol

  • i actually ment to learn better japanese lol xD i can speak english good just a mistake i typed ^^

  • Wow! romani interesati de japoneza..... cool

  • lol da ^^ im place japoneza foarte mult cre ca o se ma duc in vacanta acolo in vitor

  • eu cred k o sa ma mut acolo in viitor.

  • f tare xD cum te chiama ?

  • Meh its all good, but I'll wait until A levels to start learning japanese. I already know some from anime and friends: konnichiwa, itadakemasu, Sayonara, oniisan, oneesan, chan, kun, Dono, tousan, bachamma, basamma. Constructive critisizm on my spelling and grammmar is appreciated.

  • that's nothing....

  • i didnt say it was good no need to insult me im only a beginner

  • Ohayou. Wojtek to moshimasu. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu ( if is your first conversation you have to say "Yoroshiku onegai shimasu"- I recommend myself/ I'm of use- some like that) . Watashi wa Tychy ni sunde imasu. Watashi wa porandogo, furansugo, igirisugo, nihongo (sukoshi) hanasemasu.

  • It does help cause i only want to learn conversational jap. not to write the kanji. its too complicated

  • You should at least learn kana.

  • I hate these kinds of lessons, those that refuse to make things clear. That teacher could at least explain the Kana and the Kanji before flooding the screen with Japanese symbols. -.-

  • Ohayou, watashi wa Eugenia desu

  • 貴方は(roman)ロマン人ですか

  • Sayounara

  • this is a bit too fast though the repetition was helpful. other than that, This vidoe was helpful for remembering those phrases. arigato gozaimashita.

  • umm she talk 2 damn fast she need 2 slow dowm i didnt learn anyting!! =[

  • haha it's actually VERY good. you missed something just replay

  • Huh? Why does "wa" look like "ha"?

  • because the topic-marker is written like "ha", but sounds like "wa"

  • didnt help at all really.

  • you realize your not going to speak Japanese overnight. It is going to take months..maybe even years to learn unless you are very motivated...I mean...really motivated...and schedule your time to learn it. If your motivated, it might take you 10 months to be intermediate with Japanese...or a little higher.

  • Ohayou gozaimazu, Daniel Joshua Des, Hajimemashta.

  • おはようございます!ナマエは Humiston サミュエルです!よろしくおねがいします!おげんきですか?

That means "Good morning! It's nikce to meet you! My name is Samuel Humiston! Please be kind to me (yoroshiku onegaishimasu doesn't translate into english very well)! How are you?" In roumaji it would be "Hajimemashite! Watashi wa Humiston Samyueru desu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! ogenki desu ka?" I only know a few kanji right now...

  • it would be coll to speak in Japanes well it would be good if you watching Anime :D

  • baka mitai...

  • cool

  • Actually, mandarin isn't a specific name for chinese language but just one of the chinese dialects. Cantonese is another. It is the dialect of Beijing which has been chosen to represent the entire mainland as the national language.

  • i already knew most of that, it goes a little fast for the couple i don't know though!!! :-(

  • i already knew all that

  • Hurray I already knew all this!

    Minna san, Omedeto gozaimasu!!!

  • arigato on the video. i learned something!

  • ksa ?? :)

  • cool. see my video here titled "Learn Hiragana the easy way" -- fun song

  • Like it ^^ Really helpful, but the examples were too fast, i couldn't quite catch all the words...

  • thats why y can go back and replay

  • Yeah, but they are still as fast as they were on the first time

  • Arigato!!!! hehe ^^

  • Arigoto!! ^^

  • iiiiiiii!

    Arigato!!!!

  • i know thats one good thing on japanese it's not a tonal language like chinese, thai, vietamese,

  • The tones in Cantonese can make any grown man to his knees. 9 ways of pronouncing 'Ma',.. Yea,.. Japanese ftw!

  • wats "ftw?"

  • 'for the win'

  • its just japanese but they have several different writing systems. i think they have 4 but i only know 2, kanji and romajin

  • the others are hiragana (used in combination with kanji, mostly) and katakana (it's used 2 write borrowed words - from other countries, foreign names&country names).

  • The Japanese language is simple Japanese. There are no dialects so different that they are segregate, as with Chinese (broken into several dialects) Although the pronunciation from Northern and Southern Japan (especially people from Osaka) differs, its something similar to american accents- Southern Bells, laid back drawls of californians- etc. ^_^

  • omg this is just like the program byi, i have this programe where you can learn all different kind of languages, pm me if you want it >.< lol i am currently learnign japanse and korean, it has list from animals to hotel, polite conversations, and MORE!

  • does it cost?

There is a free version and an upgrade that you need to pay for. You can find it at byki dot com

  • yea, just let people who wanna learn learn, jackass

  • well, so begins Ashleigh's Super Happy Fun Time Learn To Speak Japanese. Good god, I have a lot to learn...

  • Thx for the vid, I speak english and learned tagalog, and now studying to learn both spanish and japanese.

  • Good god. I gotta loooooooooong way to go before I can actually start speaking in Japanese sentences. XD

  • pfff... japanese wannabes

  • Is it that hard to understand that people want to learn Japanese? You ignorant jerk.

  • jeez, whats with the negative attitude? let them have their fun:)

  • why r u dissing us for wanting to learn a language other than english?

  • is japanese your first language and you learned english? if you are im sure you are an "english wannabe"

  • what's wrong with trying to learn another language even if it's not your culture or nationality so you shouldn't be talking because in high schools that offer a language most people try to learn a diffrent language so are they wannabes too???

  • @xilly55 i support this(if its not sarcasm O-o)

  • cool

  • Saw this on JapanSugoi

  • thank you for uploading =)

  • Yay! THANK GOD I KNOW ALL THE HIRAGNA AND KATAKANA CHARACTERS!

  • There are SO many Kanji characters to learn. I don't recommend trying to learn them all at once, but a few at a time as you might see them. Such as the kanji for Nihon (japan) watashi (self, I) and other basic ones. If you're really into japanese, try learning the Hiragana first :)

  • Can anyone please tell me for learning japanese, do i have to learn all kanji characters? can't i learn just a part?

  • I am a student in Japan. To read newspapers, I am told people should learn a minimum of 1400 kanji characters. For most daily things, around 1000 should be fine, but one's always kinda lost. I lost count of the ones I know, but I still cannot read without a dictionary at hand.

  • Wow thats crazy! i dont understand why japanese needs kanji when there are allready katakana and hiragana.... thanx

  • Just momorize all 50.000 Kanji and 530.000 combinations in Murohashi's dictonary and you should be fine.

  • Well, no, you don't. Just a few. Prbably less than 50, not sure. Not all right away. That will be very difficult. Just learn the Hiragna and Katakana first. Those are a lot more easier than Kanji.

  • they must be lauging to put up an act

  • I speak English, german(both basic and suisse germ.), a little bit french I'm going to learn spanish and definitly Japanese...and I have to say...thnx for helping me at the start;)
