  • where i can buy screens like this?

  • I want to play with cows on a touch screen too

  • looks like something from Minority Report. cool stuff

  • This is so cool.

In a few years we'll have holograms as TV's.

But I think CIA or MI6 are using those things already...

  • Was that jonny lee?????

  • nice toy.

  • HOLY SHIT ??!?!?!

  • this would be amazing to use with 3d modeling programs like maya or c4d for rotating and filling in detail

    as well as other stuff

  • I went to SIGGRAPH on 2006 but I don't remember seeing this one? Where was it? in the emerging technologies thing?

  • He looks like the person off of heroes :P

    Lol

  • I have a problem. I'm sick of waitingfor this. I want it now! The iPhone is helping keep me clam for now. Any others have this problem too.

  • You can actually buy it. It's just very, very expensive... :-(

  • How much is it and whats the waiting time, any idea?

  • Unfortunately I don't know. I asked Jeff Han when I was at Siggraph making this little video. But I didn't go into detail when he answered something about hundreds of thousands of dollars and military clients... :-)

  • Cheers anyway. The military thing appeals to me just fine. :D

  • yup from what i read they've only sold it to the military... cool though that you actually laid your hands on it...

  • Exsactly, I want this as soon as possible it is unbelievable. :P I-phone yep i have yet its an amazing phone but a computer. MTS

    So Much Better.

  • @stancruse theres a company called promethean who have just released an interactive whiteboard that does mutli touch - only as good as the software developed for it though

  • @stancruse oh and it's fairly cheap

  • the technology is there already to do 3D style minority report. its just to expensive, and non profitable. its the old capitilism thing, give them a little bit at a time and make more money.

  • That's cool but anyone could code up something like this.. To move something you need one point of reference, to scale you need two points.. To rotate you need two or three points. Three if you want to do it in 3D.. This is the cheapest solution.. The more complex version would be to have the typical motion tracking 90s VR environments. This would be a good way to get into the mainstream market, and maybe introduce VR again (which never really took hold)..

  • IVE GOT ONE IN MY ROOM YEAH :D i wish :(

  • Did not take long to make the screen from Minority Report become true...

  • AWESOME!
