The great thing about the 80's was all the crossover music. There was so much music that was so diverse to listen to. A basically country song like this would NEVER be heard on the Top 40 pop chart today. We were exposed to so many different kinds of music back then because Dolly, Juice, Kenny Rogers and even Rick James & Chaka Kahn were all crossing over. I think that's why I love so many different kinds of music today.
This may be lip sync'd as most tv performances were back then but I have had the good fortune to see her live concert before and unlike a lot of the acts of today she sounded just like her records, this young lady could sing.
I haven't heard this song in some 15 years - then suddenly heard it on the air this morning and just had to search for it. What a great song - just as good after all these years! =)
Not really live; these early 80s shows were much cheaper to make by using the official recording and having the singers lipsync. (Today's standards are clearly different, with more expectations... which is sad in some ways; Ashlee Simpson for example... and I regret being such a loudmouth badmouth when that SNL incident occurred...)
I love her hair. Its PERFECT.

@jmm53087 Maybe, but she was already older then than Taylor Swift is now - Juice was almost 30 when she did this song.

Oh. My. God. As 0:03, it's the absolute gayest sports coat ever made by Man. That thing could signal ships at sea.

She is good-looking.
This tune seems to have become a hit also in Germany.
