  • your voice is annoying and you have issues that only a paid professional can take care of. the internet is not 100% evil. Just because you were raped as a child doesnt mean every child who plays on the internet will be raped too. kleinevos i hope you die in that fire.

  • Ok. Well.. He cant get molested or abused or whatever by having a youtube account. That doesnt make any sense. As long as he doesnt invite these perverts inot his house or something stupid like that then he'll probably be fine. I dont think he would be stupid enough to do that.

  • Then I'll state fact. Fact, videos on YouTube featuring underage youth, especially underage youth without articles of clothing on, are being put into group playlists shared by pedophiles. Several of these groups are currently operating on YouTube, however are being shut down after much effort on the part of many people. These groups have nothing to do with the choices of your kids.

  • Let me state, for the record, that Perverted Justice has recently done a lot of work in cleaing up YouTube. Some of this work included findign and removing pedophile groups that made playlists of video clips like.. well like the topless one. They use them to get off, and it's sick.. but it exists EVEN HERE ON YOUTUBE. So lets be careful.

  • The abusive messages must have been posted after I posted my video response, as I was not aware of them. The thing is not a lot of parents have enough time to screen every message their child will recieve via a program like youtube. This is where a lot of the problems come in with allowing a child to have access to the internet. Of course he shouldn't keep such a brilliant child locked up for life. But there has to be some kind of happy medium. I am so sorry to hear these messages were posted.

  • eff yo lyfe

    i agree with tim.

  • Some of us are able to trust our children's judgement by age 13. This is the result of proper parenting.

  • It has nothing to do with trusting your children. It's the other people out there you cannot trust. Thank you for your opinion.

  • As a volunteer and fighter for child safety on the internet, I whole heartedly agree. The point does need to be made, however, that schools all over are teaching children in ELEMENTARY school how to use the internet, and they are taught in computer labs while surfing. Sadly, this is also how so many children are harmed.

  • This is exactly my point. Thank you for sharing your opinion on this matter. If adults are so interested in a child's life, they should be spending their time volunteering for a Big Brother or Sister program or something rather than interacting with children via the internet.

  • It's not an issue about his shirt (at least not for me) it was just one of the "many" reasons I felt the internet access was inappropriate for Chase. It simply left him open to 1000's of viewers. If he were playing on his street without a shirt, he would most likely be in contact with people his family knows (or so I would hope.) But again the issue was not the shirt. It was the unsupervised access to the net.

  • I 100% agree and unfortunately a lot of parents DO NOT let their kids outside to play alone due to dangers. The media does put a lot of hype on things which of course does not help. As you saw from just a few videos, this innocent child was subjected to several disturbing messages and a phone call. These idiots should be punished but the chances of that are slim. I'm not saying kids should never access the net but it's important that their time is supervised to protect them.

  • Thank you for your opinion. Based on the 2 or 3 times we have seen Chase on camera you are perfectly correct in determining how sensible and responsible Chase is.

  • Haha, you're being pathetically absurd.

A child of 13, although he ofcourse has to be protected, should be allowed to have some freedom as well.

I thought the video was hilarious. 5 stars.

  • Freedom of course. But unlimited access to the internet? I just can't agree with that and I'm sorry if that ruffles some peoples feathers and makes me appear prudish. I just don't think it's appropriate. Myself and millions of other's have managed to occupy their childhoods without the internet and grown up to be outstanding citizens. Many thanks for your opinions though. If we all sat back and said nothing, we'd still all be stuck in the middle ages.

  • Agreed.

Never the less, as long as children are supervised correctly and parents know what their kids are doing on the internet, I don't see too much of a problem.

  • 100% agreed! Perhaps I came across a little strongly this morning with my video. Chase has his entire adult life to spend on the internet. At age 13 I personally think he should be (as with any child) enjoying the outdoors, being with friends... etc... He should doing these things while he still can.

I guess my problem is, so many people just let their kids surf the internet unsupervised, exposing them to things they really don't need to see yet.

  • LOVE

  • Thanks darling, I knew you'd understand my point.
