  • Aeroframe is hiring mechanics now. see response video

  • Each A&P is certified by a license FAA represenative examiner. When you say I am not cut out, that obviously contradicts me having my A&P license already (It saying otherwise).

  • Just because you have an A&P license doesn't mean your cut out for the jobs. It means that you are certified to do the jobs. Many people enjoy their A&P jobs, and don't whine about it like you do. These people are cut out for this job. Your just obviously not.

  • Obviously you did listen to me by changing your error, which would be your pathetic grammar mistakes. If you are not a hypocrite now, well maybe you will realize it later. People do get their bachelors in two years, you never heard of clep? Maybe you should go back to doing your homework. I'm not cut out because I was smart enough to realize being underpaid is not worth the trouble of the rotten hours. You obviously don't realize anything if anything hits you in the face.

  • Being a software engineer, you don't deal with people's lives on a daily basis. Even procedures that are routinely done can be overlooked. They (usually the aviation industry in general) try to push younger people to enter this industry when they don't realize the responsibilities there is. When you sign off an aircraft, you sign off your dignity and responsibility that warrants your safety for the people on board.

  • Well, you obviously weren't cut out for the job. Not everyone has a problem with this level of responsibility!

  • If you do the math, why don't you calculate how much hours you would spend 16-24 months, approximately 5-8 hours each a week for 5 days. Then compare by calculating the average entry mechanical engineer school hours (usually bachelors). If you don't know what you are talking about don't leave a comment, Mr.Software Engineer noob.

  • Then how come everyone isn't getting B.A's in two years? It takes 4 years of steady work usually to get most bachelor of science degrees. A credit hour for a bachelors isn't comparable to a physical hour at an A&P trade school. A&P classes do cram a lot in, but Bachelors courses are harder, require more studying, homework, reading... you really can't compare the two.

  • Its not that bad mister negative.

  • Yes , it,s that bad.

  • 5) A&P Mechs are the first one to get laid off. 6) A&P Mechs work dangerous environments. 7) Entry A&P Mechs work on night shifts and may continue to work for a very long time in that shift. 8) Aviation industry sucks, financially. 9) A&P mech jobs are unstable. 10) Finding work now as an A&P is hard due to to the economy. 11) A&P Mech school is long expensive and a total waste of time. 12) If these reason dont convince you, you obviously are a moron.

  • brother. Many people are being layed off due to the economy. I'm a software engineer. Its no safer for me than an A&P. Night shifts? maybe bad for you, NOT bad for everyone dude. I think your bitter about wasting time chasing something you didn't research properly and for that, I think your the moron, not those who choose not to listen to you.

  • 1) If you don't know what you are talking about or never been into aviation, then I suggest you go ask the old folks who's been around, you software docuhe bag. 2) Software Engineering is 10x safer unless, you're a idiot who can't program (you obviously suck from my assumption). 3) Mechanical Engineering actually takes around the same amount of time (around 2100 hours). 4) You obviously didn't learn proper grammer using two "nots" in your run-on sentences. NOOB!

  • I have family in the aviation industry, and I have my pilots license.. I know a bit about it. And you don't know software, at all, obviously. Pointing out grammar mistakes are pathetic, man. Just look at you. Calling everyone who doesn't agree with you a moron? Calling me a douche bag and a noob? No one is going to listen to you because your obviously not mature enough to make a serious comment about a career. Grow up!

  • My advice, quit the damn school. You are throwing yourself in prison by signing up for this school. 1) A&P License = worthless compared to a mechanical engineer. 2) A&P License takes the blame 99% of the time even if it is the engineer's fault. 3) A&P Licensed mechanics will take the fault for improperly designed aircrafts with shitty maintenace designs specs. 4) A&P Mechs get paid crap (entry-avg $8-10hr). 5) A&P work environment stinks. Litterally.

  • Have you ever thought that your just not cut out for A&P, and that some people might fit this job better? A&P license is not worthless. My cousin has ONLY an A&P and he makes 60k. Some people might handle stressful situations (i.e. being blamed) better than you did. I know of A&P mechanics that made over $20 /hr straight out of school. Sounds to me like you just aren't cut out for this job man. You should have researched it better before going in headfirst.

  • Also, mech. engineering is great.. but you have to be in school for double the time that it takes to get an A&P. It's really a different thing entirely.

  • Aww Shut up, this is a worthless industry. I wasted 16 months of my life.

  • so..are you an engineer now?

  • im at this school now.......is it bullshit? did you not find work?
