  • i LIKE EM, KEEP EM COMIN SWEET HEART

  • @Ben85paintball Thanks for the info man, so, I will definitely get a Glock 23, but I really did feel classy with a full size 1911 in my hands, well, sounds like someone is going to make a bit of money off of me. XD

  • @Ben85paintball oh, okay. I'm one of those go big or go home types so my bag for EDC weighs about 10-15lbs (all camera equipment). Alright, hey Lima life, can you do a video on the topic of .45 ACP vs. .40 S&W vs. 9mm NATO please? thanks for the help guys

  • Here in Portugal the state only allows the civilian to own the 6.35 or a .32 S&W Long for personal defence. which is better?

  • @limalife It's equally nasty when women act like pigs, but what can you do? :o)

  • Glock 17 or full size 1911 for everyday carry, which do you prefer and why?

  • @MI6CORPORAL glock 21sf reliabilty of the glock and stopping power of the 1911

  • @shadowfilter That works too. Thanks!

  • I think your videoes are very well thought out and should help the newer less experienced people. In my case though I use the same 2 pistols for range, target, home defense, self defense and hunting. Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag for deer and wild hogs, Ruger Mark III Standard for pest control ( skunks or oppossums raiding the trash or garden ).

  • Gangstaaaa!!!

  • 12 people chose the wrong gun

  • You forgot a few reasons why people want to buy guns.

    5) SHTF scenario for suvival

    6) Tyrannical government [I know we have it pretty good right now, but you never know what the future holds]

    7) collecting!

    8) class III machine guns and other rares make great investments.

  • I love you!

  • I like your revised video WITHOUT the cat. That was a good insightful review for novice people who are considering buying a handgun. I have a few and all of them are large pistols. The Taurus "Judge" has a lot more bark than bite but a shot to the face at close range would take out the perpetrator's senses really fast. An appropriate welcome for a thug!

  • I like your insight. A great starter pistol is the Ruger Mark 1/2/3 series. These are excellent pistols. Large and heavy and shooting a .22 LR cartridge. A great training tool and I can think of nobody that would voluntarily take a .22 LR bullet to the chest. That little round is lethal but does not stop an attacker.

Most people who value their lives would retreat at the sight of any gun presented. A rapist for example (they are cowards). A range gun is FAR better than nothing.

  • great video.....there's nothing hotter than a woman talking guns =)

  • Very good synopsis.

  • can you like hang out w/ my wife and show here there is more to life than going to the mall and picking out pretty pink frilly things w/ butterflies and bows?

  • We need more women like you.

  • I liked the quote at the end.

  • I have a sig mosquito 22 and I am going to get a 9mm soon. I am trying 2 decide between between the glock 19, the Sig 250, and the beretta M9. please tell me ur thoughts.

  • this girl is a marine core groupie.

  • @rangers11000 Its spelled Corps

  • if i wanted a home prtecion gun i whould have 44 to blow that mother fucker right out of my houes

  • can you come over and give me some advise, over dinner, oh and a movie and a trip to the range and meet my parents and put your stuff in the closet and ......

  • .38 special to hunt alaskan brown bear eh ? i would not recomend that if u dont wana be eaten by a alaskan brown.

this video is horrid advice !

  • @teem123 she said you wouldn't use it

  • @teem123 If you had listened you would heard her say "You wouldn't want to go Alaskan Brown Bear hunting with a .38".

  • I use and prefer my XD-40 sub compact for carry. My Springfield 1911 is on my night stand for the house though. Good video! You rock!

  • I really love my springfield XD40 sub-compact.

  • Hi I need ur advise please I just bought a glock 30 sf small frame I was wondering since u know alot about holsters u can give a in site of what would u recommend for me I know I want a thumb break on it I want leather but would it be better owb iwb

  • Best range/target gun: Feinwerkbau AW93 :)

  • GOOD JOB

  • There is no worthwhile .410 load that makes the judge a good idea.

  • i dont know about you but I dont want to be shooting in my house with a full auto weapon... punching holes into my tv laptop desktop and furniture and end up blowing my house sky high.... ill stick to glocks.

  • You know, im a gun fan. Wife not so much-but very nice to see a female face in front of gun rights along with the rest of us. Ill be sure to have my wife chime in and watch some of your vids. Thanks!

  • You are so knowledgeable and I am just starting out with hand guns... I'm subscribing. :-)

  • What exactly do you need to buy a hand gun legally? Do you haft to fill out paperwork or something? What process do you go through in order to own one

  • @101Slowride In my State to purchase from a dealer you must be 21, have proof of residency, fill out a simple form, pass a phoned-in background check, and have money. To purchase from an individual you must be 18, be a resident of the State, and have money. A dealer purchase takes 5-20 minutes and an individual purchase about a minute.

  • All your videos have been amazing mama! Very informative and something both men and women can relate to without the unecessary testosterone. My wife is now ready after 15 years. Thanks.

  • As always, Great videos! Probably the best home defense shotguns are the Serbu Super shorty. A 6.5 inch barrel 12 Ga (needs a AOW stamp) Also a similiar gun. But made decades ago. Would be the Ithica Auto and Burglar gun. A very short double barrel 20 Ga. but, the same problem as the Serbu. Since the barrels are must shorter than the required 18"

  • gentlemen! she's married with kids! respect it!

  • Nice videos

  • Hot! Thanks 4 the advises! Important part of my own research.

  • just bought my first handgun. getting it next week

auto ordnance M1911A1 .45ACP, it will be used for everything, home defense, personal defense, robbing little jimmy at the bus stop for his lunch money and etc...

  • good job.

  • you are soo beautiful and awesome. marry me?

  • I like your hair all tossed up like that !. Very sexy. Talk dirty to me about the caliber of guns baby.

  • wow you know your stuff and your hot

  • Thank you for your videos. I am 54yrs old and just bought my first handgun. It is a Springfield GI 45. Because of you, I am able to field strip it, and; mainly, able to put it back together. I watched all your 1911 related videos and took it apart six times before I actually went out and shot with it. Thanks again, you've saved a bunch of people from having bad accidents. I feel much better with gun handling and gun safety that I have learned from you. Good job.

  • glock glock glock if you want to live .you still hot.oh try hydra shoks i shot a guy in swaziland bam slat the end

  • @MrNightshade69 Uh, What?

  • lol i bought a gun to shoot stuff but this other use thing she talks about might kinda work, lets see how it works as a hammer..

  • @lostinbq

at least you have this option when you run out of ammo

  • I kinda like the idea of a 9mm for range and defense. Ammo is cheaper than .45 or .40, so you can use it at the range often. Using it often, means you know the gun, and it will be more comfortable, and better able to handle it if (heaven forbid) you need to use it.

  • Hmmm the US allows you to hung with hand guns, here in Canada I think it's illegal to hunt anything with a pistol, rifle only.

  • Very nicely done, clear & to the point!

  • You got that right! I carry a gun everywhere just for the reasons you mentioned! I'll be dead before someone gets to my family. Everyone in my house hold knows how to operate both home defense weapons at there disposal when I'm traveling. Shotgun and my wife has her revolver in her nightstand. Very well put!

  • Its always good for people to have a good set of guide lines. They can take your info. and then go to the shop. This is great for people that are just starting! I travel as an Engineer and my wife keeps two of the easiest guns for her to use in reach. A 12 Gauge and a revolver W/practice. You hit those right on the head as far as i'm concerned! When I'm home I have my Glock21 that I shoot match with and my shotgun for home defense. You are just Awesome a Cooperism thrown in there!

  • u left out the firth and 6th type of guns....collection pieces and of course the fun guns :)

  • Love your videos.

Could you or one of your viewer recommend a full size 1911 in .22lr? Something like the Colt Ace that is in current production??

  • I'm sure you already got your answer...But I'd go with a Kimber or a 1911 conversion and don't forget the Sig Mosquito! All great .22's Kimber being the best choice and answer to your question.

  • I truly appreciate your video's I just purchase a Kydex holster after reviewing your holster review, decided to get away from the leather holsters with the snap restraints. You know your stuff and I appreciate your sharing of expertise and keen insight keep up the great video's.

  • And I really hate it when men try to act like pigs. But what can you do?

  • @limalife thx for my firt laugh today :D

really like your videos started watching today, unfortunatly the laws and rules regarding weapons in my country are to stright for my taste.

Even getting a permit to only own a gun isn't easy.

  • Who is acting? :-)))

  • I never felt like I had to try!!!!

  • @limalife I'm probably a bit of a pig myself, judged you by how you looked until i watched your vids and then was very impressed about how well you know your firearms. Experience teaches us all, and I thank you for informing people about their weapons. I don't know why but guys just seem to think women don't know about guns, but it's obviously not true, heck, Annie Oakley could outshoot me any day if she were still here. I'd bet you could too. Anyway, thanks for the informative and great vids

  • @limalife I concur

  • I enjoy your videos very much, they speak well to the average good person who wants to be prepared and your willingness to help other people meet this goal is admirable with a high degree of humility. Thanks! Keep it up.

  • Thank You for your your insight and extremely well presented videos- Concise and Knowledgeable- Well spoken and intelligent- Expertise with Experience provide valuable assistance to all- Merry Christmas and God Bless- You are a Treasure- with Pioneer Spirit

  • Unfortunately we don't get to choose when bad things happen nor do we get to op for just not being there when it happens. Having a means of fighting back is better than nothing. Even if I didn't come out on top of a situation I would at least want the option.

  • Ok in a way you got me but still i wouldnt point a gun at everything scary

  • anything that threatens myself or those around me. gets the gun. if a retreat cant be made of course. but in high stress situations the fight instinct usually takes over the flight gene.

  • @KnorpelDelux Are you sure your a guy?

  • @limalife I sure agree with you.

  • @ Wow! What a defeatest attitude, Hard to get my head around your logic.I'm very curious, what would you propose to do if a flipped out druggie broke into your house and threatened you or a loved one? It's the kind of thing that CAN and DOES happen. And people like this will sometimes kill you even if you do comply.

  • @grizz474 My comment is ment for KnorpelDelux

  • @KnorpelDelux There are really a lot of people (clubs) out there offering gun safety classes. Gun owners that take such a course are not a pro at graduation. However, they are likely to be able to operate a gun safely and defend themselves.

  • @KnorpelDelux why u rather not be home? u think the cops are going to come make everything all better once u do get home? it only works like that on t.v in real life u are better off taking care of yourself

  • @frodo70444 America is simply different in its weaponculture to Europe. You might want to defend yourself and with more weapons than citizens it might also be the only way. For us in Europe the situation is not really that clear.

  • @KnorpelDelux my bad i didnt realize u werent over here dont worry man this country has its own stupidity!!!!i dont think any country realizes that takin guns away from good people doesnt take them away from bad people

  • @frodo70444 Very true :D I actually like weapons as they are special tools you dont see (here) every day. I really got into all this some time ago and i know shooting weapons at the range is a lot of fun but i would be a bit worried in some cases. If someone wants to kill you he will but if he just wants to get your money to buy the next drugshot it might be better not to draw a weapon yourself and let the situation break out of controle. At least thats what ive been taught. I do Aikido for SD.

  • @KnorpelDelux well yea of course the ultimate knockout with a whos the bitch now right behind it would be the best way to go

  • @frodo70444 I will never become a ninja^^ and Aikido is not the ultimate super defense technique its about not letting someone touch you in any kind of way and running is still the best savedefense if possible...otherwise disarming but that takes practise and skills

  • @KnorpelDelux lol @ninja if i ever hit sumone i always aim for the corner of the mouth its like a lightswitch

  • @frodo70444 I usually take my M2HB out of the pocket, tell the criminal to wait for a second so i can get the tripod out of the pocket and then blow his head off :D

  • My family wholeheartedly agrees: you are AWESOME!

  • great

  • Amazingly helpful video. Thank you.

  • When is your next video; it feels like it's been a long, long time. How about a video on accessories for your firearm, e.g., gloves, sights, (like mitsufq360 mentioned) bullets, stands, cleaning gear, etc.

My, to my amazement and I think because of your videos, fiancée just bought her first firearm, a S&W M&P .40.

    Take care.

    Semper Fidelis

  • Good video. I bought my first gun. I love my kimber pro carry ii, but ammo is kicking my wallat's butt. Thinking about the 22 conversion.

  • the p22 would be my choice for a target pistol

  • @ 0:45 you left out one important group - collectors!

  • My girlfriend gets pissed when i talk about guns.

    this girl is a keeper.

  • @noplcl310 do we have the same gf? ha ha ha...

  • @noplcl310 You'd ask her out, and she'd light you up.

  • @noplcl310 Then it's time to find a new girl or stay single. Seriously. If you marry her she'll most likely nag you about getting rid of your guns - assuming you have any - or if you don't she'll divorce you. You don't want either (especially the latter since she'll probably take everything you have). Or if you don't have any guns and you marry her, then decide you want to buy guns she'll fight with you about how dangerous they are and she doesn't want to be with a guy who has guns.

  • Seems like my comment didn´t show up, I´ll post it again.

I like handguns but for home defence purposes i recommend the 5.45 mm subkarabinek wz. 1989 Onyks with no stock, with a front vertical grip, a Twin-drum Magazine, a two points sling, an a harmonica muzzle break. It will not jam on "YOU" I can assure you.

  • Great Advise!! Ill sub!

LOL my first Firearm was a cheap little Davis 380, i think it was 140.00$ off the shelf, but ill tell you that gun never gave me a day of trouble, put about a 1000 rounds, before giving it to a buddy!

    Again great video, smart advise!!!!

    ~Rage

  • How do you feel about the .38 special/.357 mag shotshells for home defense, in place of a shotgun or Tarus Judge?

  • Sorry to burst your bubble but revolvers do, can and have jammed. Faulty ammo with raised primers, over-protruding projectiles, debris, and "off" timing can all jam a revolver and usually, when a revolver jams, a simple "tap, rack, bag" is not enough to clear one.

The point is, don't get too hung up on ANY tool. It's it's man-made, it can fail.

  • how can a revolver jam? i thought they are only 2 simple functions fire and spin.

  • As I already posted above, bad timing of the cylinder, raised primers, faulty ammo with over-protruding projectiles and debris can all jam revolvers. At a range I saw a tiny little pebble stuck between the cylinder and the frame render a revolver useless. Don't get too hung up on any gun. They all have their weaknesses.

  • also sitting in some underwear for 20 some odd years without cleaning can do it too. i found that out at the range. LOL. took my dad's .357 to the range and it fired fine but it wouldn't revolve. then the ejector got stuck, works fine now.

  • @limalife Bad timing of the cylinder would only happen if there's a mechanical defect in the revolver. If you use quality ammo, then things like bad primers are a non issue.

  • hell yeah 357 all the way

  • though the Taurus Judge can shoot 4/10 and 45. it is NOT the BEST of both worlds. it is a movie gun, and 4/10 does not have stoping power. the long cylinder required by the 4/10 lowers accuracy. though light weight, it is a big gun.

  • A movie gun? Stopping power? long cylinders lower accuracy? oh my.......

  • come on people!! why does nobody (NRA included) mention the 2nd amend, as a reason to own a gun... all the other so called 4 reasons fall under the 2nd amend...

i am a proud gun owner, and a member of NRA, gun owner of america, and hawaii rifle assc.........

  • To be honest I don't know anyone who buys guns just because the 2nd ammendment exists. Where's the fun in that?

So...Bill did you take your new gun out to the range to shoot it yet?

Nah...I just bought the gun because of the second ammendment. I don't want to actually do anything with it or have any fun with it or even learn how to shoot it. I just have it because of the second ammendment.

    Uh...ok, Bill....ok.

  • every body is now dumber from reading your reply..

is there wild game in England? dont people need self protection in England? wouldnt the people of England love to target shoot? the answer is YES, but they CAN'T, because they dont have the right to!! It is our cherished constitution, and the bill of rights, that allow us to own firearms...

  • I totally agree with you. Thanks for sharing. I was only kidding in my last post. Sorry if it was misleading.

  • I want a gun with just one bullet, i miss i die

  • Also, if you hit, you're still probably dead, unless you get an instant kill. The other guy is going to have upwards of 12 rounds if he has an up to date polymer frame pistol. Your one shot just might piss him off enough to prompt him to unload all 20 rounds out of his glock 17 into your face.

  • Lol, yeah

  • Very nice, informative video. Well done.

  • aloe frames lol

    oops

  • I have shot lots of hand guns in different types. I would suggest a Glock or HK. Because when it comes to defense what matters is it works when you need it and HK and Glock are top choices in my opinion.

  • LOVE ALL THE VIDEOS! They are always so informative well done! Nice to see you back! Hope all is well with you & yours!!!

  • Just found your channel and watch most of your vids from first to last. Like the new look..... great Vids. Cheers.

I think a shot gun is good for home defense, shortest length barrel (check laws) and pump action.

  • Limalife, how do you feel about using a gun with a decocker for self protection? My video of the 2009 Space City challenge (stage8), is an example of what I base this on. I acidenatally hit the decocker twice after racking the slide on a reload. I assume missing the decocker on your draw in a self defense scenerio can be really bad. All I lost was some time. The gun used was a Beretta 92F (I shoot this gun once a year in competition). Its not my carry gun.

  • stay away from cheap guns.

guns that seem too good to be true, off brands such as EAA windicator .357/ 38 spl I just purchased one for my first revolver purchase and it sucks the cylinder doesn't stay straight the force of the blast jars the cylinder and the 3 or 5 shot doesn't line up and the $ 250 + tax gun now needs about $ 100 worth of work at a gun-smith. I would recommend a ruger for or tuarus in 40 cal.

  • The way she elaborated almost soley on revolvers for home defense is puzzling. People use full size semi-autos atleast, if not more, than revolvers. Which isn't to discriminate towards them, but the it presents curiosity.

  • She mentions a key point about why a revolver over an auto. She references some one in the house that is not very familiar with pistols/guns could easily pick up a revolver and have it work. Depending on the auto pistol and its complexity, the gun might not work for them when the time comes. A revolver is simple to use and anyone with virtually no experience can pick it up and shoot. Also, an auto can jam easier than a revolver such as limpwristing. limpwristing a revolver will not cause that.

  • Comment removed

  • I understand the revolver, but she made it sound as if it is the only gun for home defense. I also love the simplicity of the revolver, but you gotta admit 15 rounds of probably can beat 6 round of definetely. If a novice knows how to operate a safety, and to keep a hand web away from potential slide bite, they should know an auto. I think she also could have maybe elaborated on snubs a little more self-defense. By the way, i liked you B92FS video, you should make another one.

  • True about what you said on the auto. but the operator needs to know how to work the controls on it. Give a 20 year old cheerleader with no gun experience a 1911 and a revolver and I bet she can make the revolver shoot before the 1911 if she was getting her dorm room broken into.

Thanks on the 92F video. Over the past month or so I've posted a few more videos. All of my Space City vids R done with the 92F. Everything else I use an STI. Check out my minigun video too. I'm proud of that one.

  • An STI, huh? What exactly is it that you do for a living? I've never owned anything that costed more than $700. I'm seriously considering buying Para, but even thats gonna cost me a pretty penny. I like Berettas, they're real workhorses, but they really aren't what I would think you'd be target shooting with. I had an INOX a while ago, and I was happy wiht that.

  • I love the Para! I got a P14 so I could shoot IPSC and Bowling pins matches. Only reason I have an STI is because I got a super deal on it and I wanted the couple of extra rounds that a 40 caliber has over the 45. Sadly I sold the P14 to help pay for the STI Edge. (I really miss that gun, it was my all time favorite). I recomend the P16 Limited if you go with a Para. It is competition ready pretty much.

  • Yeah, I know when I want a pistol, its gonna be single action. The 1911 is beautiful, and when double stack, even more so. I know para ordnance has always had a good rep (charles daly imports a double stack 1911 from Israel, but they sound kind of iffy). Para does seem reasonably priced, and I've heard that they can outdo some other 1911 makers (Kimber, Taurus, and Springfield).

  • Excellent overall Handgun Video. Well done!

  • my first handun was a Smith and Wessons .38 snub nose.

still have it, and its still tootin some hot steel. XD

  • 38's are poo

  • i like them, ive been using them for 4 years. im pretty good with it at a 50 yard line.

  • tru really depends how u care 4 them, cos alot of the ones iv'e seen dealt with always developed problems, or jammed

  • mmmm.... a S&W .38 cant jam, its a revolver type pistol.

but i do care for it like its my baby still.

  • Actually, a revolver can jam, ever had a high seated primer?

  • no never had a problem with my .38.

  • Thank you for responding to my question about Colt series 80 and 70 1911's I did some research so I would like to modify my question and ask which you would carry. I know about hungry babies needing lots of attention I raised 3 girls and was a baby photographer.

  • Just want to say, welcome back. Like always, very informative video. Thank you.

  • Would you explain the difference between the Colt series 70 and series 80 1911 guns? I own a 4 1/2" series 80 commander in ss. I am looking at an 5" government series 70. The Government has a much better trigger pull. My commander was purchased new other is still in the store.

  • The main difference is that the series 80 has a firing pin safety. The series 70 does not. I'll elaborate later. .. hungry baby time.

  • Always good to see your video.

My wife wish you and your baby the best.

  • I always learn alot from your videos ,maybe make a few videos between diaper changes and nap time.

  • I like what you did with your hair, and I'm sure that you could take an alaskan brown bear down with a .38. Also I can't remember what movie this was from but "any thug can pull a trigger."

  • Welcome back.

  • Great to hear someone recommending the shotgun as a first choice option for home defense. If you add a video covering the shotgun, I hope you can cover load options such as Federal "Tactical Load" that make the 12 gauge less intimidating for smaller frame shooters. Great job- glad to see you posting again!

  • sure, shotguns are great for home defense, but I think that for many people, it's not really a bedside gun. I keep mine in the closet so it's less visible and out of the way.

handguns make great bedside guns. I keep mine in a compartment right near my head so I can arm myself before even getting out of bed, and can use it to deal with immediate threats.

  • Glad to see new vids from you !! Hopefully you keep em comming again !!

  • Welcome back!! Yours were the very first firearms videos I watched on youtube and my girlfriend watched your first version af this vid. She learned alot! Thanks for the vids and again, welcome back!

  • This was a remake. Boring as it may be for people who know better it is what it is for people who don't. These are the kinds of things I wished people would have told me when I was first starting out and so I'm sharing.

Either way, I intend to make my next video about my Remington. It's hard finding time to do in depth videos with a baby but I'm working on it.

  • Welcome back. Those little men need lots of attention and mountains of diapers.

  • Thank you Limalife for being back. I always look forward to seeing your videos. Please keep it up. I would love to see you at work and on the range.

  • It's good to see you making videos again. Congratulations on the new kid, and thanks for the new vid.

  • dude... lay off it's a revision of an earlier video...

  • a new video finally.... I miss u!!

  • GLOCK 17!!!!

  • I agree, that's what I would recommend also

  • Limalife, do you think that i, who are 17 year old, can have fun with a Tokyo Marui(airsoft producer) HK Mp5A3 ?

It's spring operated, shoots about 220 fps.

Or is it wasted money? It costs 83$ including shipping with a silicone spray.

Not sure. And a real gun is sadly enough not an option for me, as i live in a country with crappy gun regulations.

    Thanks.

  • TheARoDoner3o,

I have real firearms, airsoft guns, and paintball guns. Airsoft is very fun and a good way to learn and practice gun safety. I would go with an electronic gun if I were you. It allows semi and full auto firing modes, which will be more fun when playing with friends. About a waste of money, that is your own decision and I love all of my hobbies. Feel free to message me and I can give you some good brands to keep in mind. Keep it safe and fun!

  • Please die? What, are you gonna kill her? Oh yeah, that's right, you can't kill her because people like her are more than capable of protecting themselves from criminal scum!

  • I raged

  • As always, great video.

    Good advice for the novice.

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for redoing this video. i watched the first one and thought it was fine. but this was much more focused i think. thanks for mentioning the taurus judge btw. i had been thinking about getting one for the flexibility and concealment ^_^

  • awesome video. i do use my 1911 as both range and home gun but I want to get a 9mm for the range they are way cheaper

  • I just bought a 1911, and I can't wait to get some range time on it. Unfortunately, there seems to be a 9mm drought. I can't find rounds, target/range or self-defense any where. I think I may have to buy a .22 conversion kit for either gun, there's no telling when they'll be back in stock.
