Thats a bad Idea, removing the rear fans is a big mistake, That is where the primary Outtake Air is directed. This could result in the back portion of your intercooler becoming a furnace. yes air pressure will still force the air out at the same speed, but you are heating up too much of the PS3 in return, I just put a 4 port Hub on the front under the Switch on my intercooler.

Then I replaced all the fans with High RPM LED fans.

The more USB devices connected to the PS3 the more power the PS3 needs. Meaning that the certain amount of voltage to keep the PS3 at a stable running condition will become slightly unstable. This is all good, but when theres a power surge then you will be part of the 0.2 % failure rate. PLEASE KEEP the PS3 Failure rate down. Happy Gaming and nice video

I didn't make it all im saying is that your not supposed to mod the side panel because it creates a suction with the one fan if you remove the plastic around it no more suction its just blowing air.

to mmake it work on the 40 gig ps3, you just have to cut the little notches that it uses to hold on tto the pc3 and use seom sticky rubber on the indsde to hold it one, but its a cheap peice of stock crap, all the fans died out and i got sick of lubing the fans every two weeks, which is probably why he changed the fans out, works great while its lubed but once it wears out agiain the fans turn off autonatically, making it even worse to use

drawing the power off the ps3's power supply isnt ever a smart idea thats just gonna stress the ps3's hardware out even more then it dose without usesing it.I know being a ps3 owner that ps3 will over heat after just 8 hours of use & freeze up.Now add this & your gonna just draw more power then the ps3 was meant to & create more heat but hey if you wanna burn out you ps3 all the more power to ya lol ps..dont say i didnt warn you

i don't think it will work on the 40 gig, since that front cooler doesn't fit on the 40, only on the 60.

mine is not too noisy, works on all ps3s, and only increases airflow. the back shrowd will drastically block airflow on this version.
