  • "The 62k class is packed so his chances of making the olympics are slim" -> wins gold

    true man!

  • Well we are relevant in the most important thing. The medal count ass hole.

  • @MrPowerlifter13 in regards to lifting, we have zero recently.

  • who cares about curls anyway? Weightlifters are strong and athletic, they can jump high, run fast etc. What can BBs do? Go around looking huge, and not even be that strong? That's the definition of fake!

  • -I would like to see one of you scrawny powerlifters curl 135 for reps..

  • bodybuilder: "what does that work? biceps?"

  • surprised they were using eleiko products

  • lmfao ugly asian scum to bad he about 5 foot tall lmao

  • Now look at those traps, clear sign of power!

  • The bodybuilders would be scared if these guys would come to train with them hahaha so small and so POWERFUL

  • A runnah, a swimah, a shootah.

  • Not impressed with these facilities at all but these guys are great athletes.

  • @RPenta are you actually serious?

  • @Sarge343 Totally looks like not very much equipment there; I could design a better facility even though I am not an Olympic style lifter.

  • @Sarge343 I am dead serious on the lack of equipment, dude; thumbs up yours.

  • @RPenta well you Americans can keep your fancy facilities and continue failing at the Games. you're not even relevant in olympic lifting. let the chinese and eastern europeans compete while you guys watch on in awe.

  • @aguaditoo i am american and i agree once america started bodybuilding olympic weightlifting was all but forgotten even though the first ever bodybuilders (tommy kono john grimek etc) were champion olympic weightlifters, i wish america would get a good system and get rid of crossfit for trainig our olympic team

  • 加油!

  • @prettyboyswagnyc it's called olympic lifting, powerlifting is squat, bench press and deadlift. And I would like to see a BBer attempt to snatch 300 pounds

  • @Sarge343 would love to see a Bodybuilder attempt to snatch 200lbs :) olympic lifting is true power!

  • @prettyboyswagnyc Oi fuck you cunt, You Thong wearing gay bastard,Don't you dare come on weightlifting video & post your nonsense,First its Weightlifting then Powerlifting you Gay body builders are not even in the list now go & wear a thong in front off some Judges

  • @prettyboyswagnyc ur retarded bb's do powerlifting excercises

  • @prettyboyswagnyc are you serious this guy called prettyboy calling someone a skinny bastard its easy to talk shit on the internet bodybuilders have no fighting skill and its mostly just beach fluff they could care less about building real strength

  • What is zhang Guozheng doing at 2:17

Is he building power for the Jerk

  • the guy before the last-he is extremely thin-how the hell is he lifting that amount of weight???? makes me wonna quit training (+go commit suicide !) !

  • @koutsompiskoto They do strength training, not hypertrophy training. That's why he can lift that much.

  • Solo el entrenamiento hace campeones y supera lo imposible...

  • The gym looks shit compared to UK gyms. Just shows you dont need top of the range equipment to train hard

  • chinese weightlifters are the best, so much for american bodybuilder stereotypes being the strongest and asians being weak

  • @danhantheman china only does well in the lighter weight classes bro

  • @AdangerousRETARD America doesn't do well in the higher weight class either. the HW gold medalist was Iranian.

  • fuck this, get Frank Yang in there.

  • a runna, swima, shoota, or whateva lol

  • just a question, when they pause for a second before doing the press in the beginning where do they rest the weight? shoulders or that bone right below the neck?

  • @thericky1 they rest the bar just behind the clavicle, on the shoulders. That position demand a bit of flexibility, so try practicing with just the bar, having only 1 or 2 fingers under it and keeping your elbows high, over time it becomes natural (and quite confortable!)

  • @thericky1 They rest the weight on the collarbone.

  • when she says zhang guozheng it sounds like she's saying jungle gym!!! haha

  • sickk

  • They hit his nerves when they gave him a pain killer. Probably a cortisone shot for a herniated disc he got from lifting

  • i wonder how that one guy ended in a coma from lifting.

  • 3:33 how da hell did he do that paha. im an amatuer

  • @crackmanzful yes, yes you are!

  • no athlete in the world finds training boring, that kind of weak mentality separates amateurs from real athletes.

  • This is a great video to show what proper technique looks like. Wish they showed what these guys eat

  • Comment removed

  • body builders mostly use steroid yo show their fake muscle with their little underwear.

  • Wu Meijin, small like a kid at less than 150 pounds, squats more than 600 lbs...

  • I love Olympic weightlifting but I agree it is hard on the shoulders, knees and back!

  • Damn the chinese are weak compared to the anglos

  • @111imstupid111 cant you just give it a break and enjoy the video

  • @111imstupid111 wtf is an anglos.

  • @ffaithii typically refers to people that originated from what is now the uk, england, ireland and so on. anglo-american for example would be americans of english, irish, scottish decent.

  • 3:29 no homo, but that is the body of a god

  • body builders are not welcome here, they are weak bastards

  • wow do they all have back injuries? I don't its possible to come out of this sport without some serious injuries

  • 3 words: respect, respect, respect!

  • This is just gymnastics with a barbell.

  • @604josh lol. Gymnastics is hard enough already. But with a barbell? An impossible sport. ;D

  • Someone died at 2:38

  • @OgounTor lol

  • That gym looks like heaven!!

  • Man, I wished I had tried harder to watch all of the weightlifting competition during the 2008 Olympics. I only caught pieces of the Women. These stories really make you feel for them.

  • very inspiring stuff

  • @middlemanoftime a rather subtle way of admitting defeat :\

  • @middlemanoftime how is this propaganda they talk about sport how they train and how they worry not to get injured i didnt hear any single word about praising China or comunist party they talked about thers dreams and training,so if some american athlete is doing same it is tipical american propaganda, and talking about chemistry i just lol at that, american olimpic team had balco laboratory to make undetectable roids for them,so much about cheating

  • @middlemanoftime wow this comment shows how little you know about china. I suggest you actually do some travelling

  • @middlemanoftime you call them communists, then you talk about differences in wages.... uh...?

  • Sweet gym

  • zydrunas savickas could press it over head

  • ronnie coleman eats beans and cornbread beans and cornbread beans and cornbread beans and cornbread beans and cornbread beans and cornbread beans and cornbread

  • inspiring video, much respect for all power lifters and olympic lifters, it's a dangerous sport

  • 5:38 the speed...

  • POWERLIFTING

    WEIGHTLIFTING

    STRONGMAN

    BODYBUILDING

    are brothers

  • i wonder how many calories they must eat everyday

  • Success is built on roids and genetic modification honey !!! All the rest are for you people to believe that things can be achieved in intensity and belief and shit like that !!

    Brainless monkeys\ !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nippon1971 u cant just take roids and be #1 if that is case everyone will be #1,u have to have genetical predispositions, and to have balls to go thru all this pain and suffering to be where these athlets are, last guy in interview was in coma after injury and doctors said to him he will have hard time to walk and and he won 2008 olympics in his class,u need to have strong will and determination and never give up it is not just about roids

  • @obrad79 Yes all that is good but without roids the lifting numbers are way way way way down. There is no way in the entire world that a 85kg man c&j 220kg without roids. If anybody believes that then I guess that human brain is already dead....So to mess you up but everybody talks about records and records but not the truth of how these records are accomplished...

  • Zhang Xiangxiang the lifter who was injured and wasn't expected to participate in the Olympics, won the 62kg catagory in the 2008 Olympics.

Respect! Just to show never give up on dreams.

  • 3 people must be bodybuilders..

  • much respect for these guys

  • this doc clip was very beautiful. 3 people disliked this must be heartless.

  • @tldevilsh The 3 people who didn't like this can't do what these lifters do.

  • q envidia como quisiera entreanar ahi¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • 9:16

    Awesome.

This is what most gyms should look like.

  • i think somebody died at 2:40

  • @RUBAN0606 oh shit, that sounded painful!

  • I agree with that athlete. Warming up is VERY important!

  • hes got the back of a Silverback Gorilla

  • Great video, but MUSIC CHECK!

  • This is so fucking true! For people who say weights stunt your growth, you're wrong. The reason majority of elite O lifters are shorter is because the shorter you are the higher the advantage you have in lifts such as the snatch, clean and Jerk and the power lift Squat. While some bigger taller blokes have a decent advantage with the Dead lift which is seen by many as the ultimate lift.!

  • @cannonbulk that's very true! im 6'03 and have a very weak squat and clean compared to my deadlift. deadlift definitely feels much easier for me with having longer legs.

  • Would be great if they revamped all of powerlifting and make it so that you have to lift raw. Only thing that can be used is chalk. Make it so only the conventional deadlift will be accepted. Make it so that only a standard squat olympic style squat will be accepted and bring back the overhead press and ditch the 3" belly benching.

  • these guys are freakin awesome damn athletes.

  • Fuck you fagass body builders. You're the reason why people curl in the squat rack.

  • @shortfatandcrass lol, true.

  • @shortfatandcrass curling in the squat rack LOL

  • @shortfatandcrass Only a fagass bodybuilder curls in the squat rack.

  • lol @ Chinese propaganda!

  • Warriors

  • imagine how different powerlifting would be if everyone had to squat this low. and no suits/shirts? take like 400 pounds off of the world record...

  • @dm325 haha, probably

  • is the secret to have strong legs and core

  • whats with the stupid music?

  • @rmt1 Fuck you, this guy is awsome!

  • @herrpotat ...... its true, he is awesome. he has done so well even with down syndromell!!! tard power.

  • wow this is just insane

  • nikolasbelmont ur making unfounded accusations. Theres a reason so many records from the 1980's still stand, Olympic testing has become far more advanced in recent years. They are heavily supplemented like every elite athelete but not necessarily with steroids. Professional sports may be a diffirent story but i believed that steroid use peaked out from the 1980s to early 2000's. In this period there are pretty much no muscular athletes that arent suspect.

  • Comment removed

  • i can bench 45000 pounds.

  • i can bench 45000 pounds too.

  • Does any 1 know whether these guys live of this?

  • I think it's obvious they do

  • It's a shame that most of the "gyms" today are gimmicky health clubs, with people being unaware of the fact that you can have a sexy, powerful body with a barbell alone, and without expensive machines, protein shakes and supplements.

I would love so much to train in a gym like that!

By the way, do these guys use any illegal stuff?

  • Xurma, I'm not sure if your comment is a provocation, but I'm going to treat it as if it wasn't.

Yes, these guys are using insane amounts of junk. These results would not be possible without chemical enhancement = steroids. That doesn't take away the fact that these guys train like animals and have incredible determination. But any world-class strength/speed involving sport these days is drugged. P.s. I think you need to re-examine your approach on supplements - it's hard to get enough protein.

  • Oh no, it was not a provocation. Just wanted someone to confirm it in detail.

About protein; there is nothing wrong with consuming a protein shake every now and then, but marketing it as an absolutely essential part in training is irritating me.

  • @pseudoBearmode but it is essential if you train seriously at any level

the amount of damage you cause to your muscle requires a higher intake of proteins and other nutrients.. you can buy meat or you can use shakes or both

  • @mac2k2020

ok smart guy answer me this question. Why are guy that are prison soo jacked and strong? They have three crappy meals a day, they wouldnt have access to roids, and definatley no protien powder. Protien powder is just icing on cake it isnt absolutely necessary to have.

  • @chavios actually steroids are being smuggled in prisons pretty often!

  • @Sarge343 Well think about how expensive they would be. What about they check points they have to go through? Im pretty sure that they have worse diets than anybody body else that works All im say is that training is more important than diet when is comes to gaining muscle and strength.

  • @chavios LOL you serious ? steroids and all kind of drugs are quite popular in prisons and so are protein powders

  • @chavios they smugle heavy drugs like heroin in prisons why u thing they are not smugling roids.

  • "愈簡單的愈難"

    真的很感動

    那種執著的意志

    實在令人敬佩

  • gnxfghnhgn

  • @Zendefone most bodybuilders start from being vain and looking in the mirror all the time.

  • Is it just me or did his back bend at 8:40?

  • @Entropy137

yup i replayed it and some major rounding there.

  • anyone who compares bodybuilding with powerlifting.

    fuck them!

    no comparison at all.

    its totally different

  • @treatt22 anyone who confuses powerlifting with olympic lifting

    fuck them!

  • Comment removed

  • @needabloodyname fuck yeah!!

  • @treatt22 yeah because bodybuilding is all show no go !

  • @treatt22 Powerlifters=Olympic Weightlifters wannabes.

    Bodybuilders=Posers.

  • Jungle Jim? Haha :D

  • the manliest men in china

  • Yea I don't think bodybuilding is really relevant here. Weightlifting is a strength sport while bodybuilding isn't. I'm pretty sure if ronnie coleman was a strength athlete he'd be awesome, but he's not.

  • he used to be a powerlifter*

  • I'm a big ronnie coleman fan and I never heard of him being a weightlifter. Yes he's very strong, but lb for lb against elite weightlifters he's a joke, rightfully so. He doesn't train for strength.

  • he used to be a powerlifter, not a weightlifter.

  • Ronnie Coleman is a 300+ pound bodybuilding genetic and steroid freak. How is he relevant to this video in any way? Gennady Ivanchenko was a 82.5 kilo weightlifter who had a strict press of 178.5 kg. That's 2.16bw. Vardanian had a jerk of 230 kg or more at the same bodyweight. Get the fuck out with your bodybuilding arguments.

  • haha. right on, dude! well said. Oly Weightlifting is alpha!

  • @ytubeserb yep bodybuilding is hard, strongmen is harder, weightlifting is the hardest nuff said

  • @ytubeserb these guys are also steroid users...

  • @skata123456789456123

Their use of PEDs is not related to muscle mass, it's related to recovery which then allows more training sessions and volume. My post about Ronnie Coleman was about people who came here to start discussions about him, which is not relevant to weightlifting at all. Ronnie Coleman is a bodybuilder, it's disrespectful to Olympic athletes to be compared with him.

  • @ytubeserb no, they use androgenic hormones as bodybuilders do, to increase strength.Almost same thigs used, for different purpose. And it is not a disrespect for neither of them, bodybuilders train as hard as all other athletes.

  • @skata123456789456123

Strength increase is the direct effect of improved recovery. The more you train, the more your performance will increase. To train more, you need to recover more quickly. That's where steroids come from. They don't increase strength like a magic pill. That's from movies. Bodybuilders train hard, sure, but not as hard as these guys because these guys started when they were 12 years old and have two to three training sessions a day (bulgarians were even more extreme).

  • @skata123456789456123

Correction from previous comment: "that's when steroids come to play" is what I wanted to say. Also, the training regimen and lives of these athletes are totally different that what bodybuilders have. They had this life during childhood and they live it now. Bodybuilders mostly started in highschool. Also, sarcoplasmic hypertrophy for aesthetics is way easier to achieve than let's say clean and jerk 200 KG. That's a fact.

  • @ytubeserb

Also bodybuilding has nothing to do with athleticism, strength, etc. just sayin'

  • so what was the second guy shown back injury? anyone know?

  • I love how they are so humble when they talk, It's true what they say though. I was training for power lifting before but 5 months ago I watched this and started getting into Olympic lifting. Very inspirational video and the training is hard to do in your health club.

  • Inspired stories and inspiring training!

  • the greatest sport on earth,

    awsome facility for training.

  • these are real championes!!!!!!!

  • Awesome video I agreed with everything these guys said.

And yeah, can't imagine how much money was laid down for those facilities. Amazing.

  • damn I wish we had a gym like that for Canadian olympic weighlifters!

  • thats one hell of a gym

  • 5:07, beast

  • at 4:55 enormous quads...wow

  • guozheng's neck and back are serious business

  • Comment removed

  • lol at 2:40 u can hear that someone just got fucked up

  • i like how they played soothing music while they lifters were lifting with so much intensity

  • This guys are amazing and pretty inspiring.

  • shame about guozheng i wd have loved to have seen him at the olympic games

  • Thse guys are ripped..

  • Why would you post a body builder on an Olympic lifter vid?

  • 中國舉重隊 加油!

  • theyre all really short and skinny, but strong indeed
